@gtrDan1963 Yeah, it would be really interesting "An evening with The Shadows - unplugged" :) but no tremolo arm could applied:( Never mind, point of making something different in music is to give something new, and in this case, without tremolo, Hank would have to rearrange parts where the tremolo unit does the work, so it would be very interesting to hear it :)
Andrew, how on earth did u manage to get this out?

Hello, Andrew !
Yes, it would have been interesting to hear "The Shadows-Unplugged"...
Hank would have had a special acoustic made to support a tremolo arm, as I couldn't image certain tunes without one...
I also have to smile, as I try to picture John Rostill with a large upright double bass !
Great post, my friend !
Regards,
Dan.

Or maybe, Gypsy Jazz Shadows? :))

@vlayco33 Just a bit of fun...I was only kidding about the "Trem acoustic" !!!
I do like the Gypsy jazz idea, though...get an old Selmer Maccaferri (shades of Django Reinhardt) and play it like that !
Hank would obviously rely on finger vibrato, and the phrasing would be more percussive as opposed to the "singing" quality of an electric.
But yes, it would indeed be fascinating to hear...
Thanks for checking in !

Dan.
