  • This guy is a lying sack of shit. None of his prototypes have ever worked and he keeps stalling. You think a working model would be developed by now.

Don't invest in this - it is fraud.

  • 2006 ?

  • The Steorn website has changed to a picture of a lit curtain with '4 February 2009' below it. Stay tuned.

  • I don't mean to be skeptical but this guy was supposed to have this big innovation almost 2 years ago and his device turned out to be a bust.

  • K it's been two years, and no update since October 2007. What's up with that?

  • We are going to find something that will break all known laws. Growing Earth

  • I wounder if there is teperture drop as the machine is runing. If there is then it converting heat engery to usable engery. This is know as the Magneto-Caloric Effect.

  • It looks like they have motors in there to me.

  • they may have made a ridiculously efficient machine, or even one that converts matter to energy, but in the end it isn't free energy.

    still cool to see though

  • HA! To *ALL* the FOOLS who believe in this BULLSHIT:

Steorn's CEO states the obvious: "we screwed up"

    engadgetDOTcom/2007/07/07/steorns-ceo-states-the-obvious-we-screwed-up/

    They're DONE.

  • Your link is broken.

  • Change the word 'DOT' in the domain name to a '.', and for some reason YouTube inserts a space after the dash in 'we-' that shows in the URL as at %20. Reove those characters and you should be good to go.

  • COLD FUSION!!!!

  • A guy named Tilley had an EV with a "black box" he claimed made it over-unity. When he pulled in after driving for a while, he would turn on a voltmeter that showed the voltage rising. If you weren't familiar with them, you might not know that batteries drop their voltage under load, then recover when the load is removed (especially true of lead-acid). If people like this aren't out to get your money, they're either uneducated about basic physics or delusional.

  • The principle you stated was very simple and is fundamentally obvious. Do you think a university qualified/ trained and practicing engineer, let alone the entire technical staff of Steorn would risk their reputation as well as money on proving their technology works. I think you are delusional - or at least ignorant. If you are a scientist, you, like me revel in new discoveries. Laws of science are made to be broken.

  • Your interpretation of "law" is different from mine, in that bogus science always says it can break scientific laws, but logical, well-educated science gives them the respect they are due. No lab I've ever been worked in has been so cavalier with reality. The videos I've seen show magnet tricks - wait a week to repost, then tell those of us who didn't care to watch how great an invention was released and that we can keep on wasting power because it will now be endless...

  • I do not advocate energy waste. I am podantic about turning off lights in our house. I also do not have a car and utilise public transport. At least we agree that we should be far more careful with the way in which we use energy. My interpretation of law is exactly the same as yours. That is, if you attended university. Laws are not fixed. Did the US constitution remain unchanged? Please don't tell me that the Earth is still flat and the universe represents the geocentric model!

  • While I'm here, instead of just watching videos, why not perform some of your own experiments? It is a lot more exciting and gives you a different vantage point up out of your armchair. Working in labs is great, but not very expansive if you are only continually replicating old work and not venturing into new science. Also - do you view psychology as bogus science? Many did 50 years ago - Vio'la! Look how many psychologists there are now!

  • You seem to be confusing subjective sciences with the more hard science of physics. To start, we have a much more thorough peer-review process, and much better protocols for testing, as compared to 50 years ago.

Bottom line: Steorn's tech violates all known laws of physics. On top of that, they have not offered a single shred of evidence that they've invented anything. The proof is in the pudding. There is no pudding.

  • Were you chosen to test the device? Nor was I. Let's just wait and see what the outcome is. Have you ever experienced things that you couldn't explain that you were certain happened. For example - ghosts. Yes agreed it is very subjective, but there are SO many accounts of ghostly encounters. Do you not believe in psychic activity? If not, I suggest you read Allison DuBois' book or books by John Edward. Take care.

  • Huh? Ghosts?... John Edwards? Are you serious. You must be pulling our legs. Reliable witnesses put innocent people in jail that dna have later freed. I think we are supposed to be talking hard science here not parlor tricks or incidents of mass hysteria or any other psychological issue. Science is based on the ability to repeatidly produce the same results under controlled conditions. I have seen John Edwards.

  • He fishes for his answers and then edits out his mistakes. I'm not even going to touch the ghost comment however I do find the subject entertaining.

  • I certainly will keep an open mind on this subject. I think in the right conditions it may be possible. Far more possible then ghosts or channeling dead people.

  • Try THE BEDINI MOTOR, and its forum, and the Tom Bearden Website of over unity energy.

  • The reason why I brought those subjects up is because not everything is as clear cut as science makes out. I love science, don't get me wrong, but we only accept things that our technological measuring devices that WE have developed actually detect. Maybe certain devices are actually harnessing an energy via magnetism and converting it to electricity that we cannot observe yet.

  • Steorn's CEO states the obvious: "we screwed up"

    engadgetDOTcom/2007/07/07/steorns-ceo-states-the-obvious-we-screwed-up/

  • Yes, because mechanical motion will cure famine and drought! .. not!

  • ..think on the larger picture. Yes it can solve drought and famine. Obvious. Build desalination plants run by electricity produced by Orbo technology, and use pumps/pipes/equipment and vehicles also powered by Orbo technology to transport the water where needed. It needs a bit of time to build the infrastructure, but it is a viable method to remedy a catastrophic problem that exists in third world countries. Please don't be so negative.

  • yes, and also in the big picture, procreating will make future hockey teams too. The connection between energy to solving drought and famine is a great one. Today we have solar energy, which is basically free and simple to implement, and has the same capacity to "solve drought and famine" in a similar sense. And yet it hasn't. Now why exactly this is, is a whole bigger issue.

  • Solar energy isn't free. It has a cost we are aware of - the sun. We can detect that. The technology Steorn has developed runs over-unity. The last time I checked it was about 400%. This means you dont need fields and fields of orbo machines as you do with solar panels. One by itself, although it would take a while, would produce a steady stream of energy which can be used to create more free energy.

  • "Over unity"?? Only FOOLS and CROOKS believe in that BULLSHIT. Read it and weep:

Steorn's CEO states the obvious: "we screwed up"

    engadgetDOTcom/2007/07/07/steorns-ceo-states-the-obvious-we-screwed-up/

  • this is the problem everywhere, whoever comes up with this technology - wants to patent it, that's where THEY get you, steorn guys do it right GET IT OUT IN PUBLIC FIRST!

  • Amen to that, too :)

  • Great! And isn't that machine worth BIG CASH, more than enough to transform that company and compete with Big Oil?

  • Once they join the competition with Big Oil, Big Oil will likely fail the competition over night -- automatically. That's how sensitive they are when you see them hiring hitmen and assassins to go out and fuck with anyone who dare dream of an alternative to oil.

The human race is literally being governed by oil corporations and a few other organizations - not by 'governments' - which means we're being imprisoned.

  • That machine is actually being sold at cost price where possible and once finalised, will be donated to third world countries. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it - and while your at it, do your research on Steorn first before you bag them out as money grabbers.

  • The law of conservation of energy is for those who like to have a fix idea. We have to observe the physical universe whether it is true. If you can't create energy then why it is that the universe keeps expending. Someone is putting energy here.

  • That's a very solid point.

  • A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it." --- MAX PLANCK

  • Amen to that ;)

  • of course you cannot put energy into a system and get the same ammount out of it, but you can use a certain ammount of energy into a system that if applied at the right time at the right place, well it will build up, that's the theory of resonance, a small amount of energy gives out a huge ammount (see tesla coils, child swings and so on)

  • Good luck to them

  • Steorn will do PUBLIC demonstrations in July. See it yourself at steornDOTcom/orbo/validation/

At the end of the first video these demonstrations are announced. I'm so f****** curious!! i hope it all works out and i don't have to inhale gas fumes anymore. Greets

  • Good Sir, and anyone thinking about the validity of what SEG and steorn words go to this webpage I will enlighten you. Go to my video post

  • The media has a dreadful history with these scams. Being science illiterates themselves, the reporters are happy to present these stories; people like to hear about "free energy". It's too bad you-tube can't keep this kind of fraud out.

  • Another bucket pouring out water without putting it back in the bucket. The "water" here is the enegy which flows out of the output shaft; energy is real stuff, like water; it's not mysterious and it doesn't "appear".

  • From Tom Beardon's web site: ". . . maybe, just maybe . . .

March 26, 2002 will be the date I put in my diary as the day the world changed—forever."

Hahahahahahahahaha.... Prove your magical technology by meeting my challenge in my previous post below.

  • stop being an immature cock face

  • The test is so ridiculously simple: Put the Steorn generator inside a black box with two wires coming out. Connect a load resistor across the wires. Have a PC with an analog to digital converter board continuously measure the voltage across the resistor. Power equals voltage squared over resistance. Run it in public for ONE YEAR. Calculate the total energy output. I dare them!

  • That last post will be my last posting on this thread. I'm interested and willing in continuing our discussion, but I'd prefer to do so in PM so I don't have to deal with this infuriating 500 character text limit.

  • If you have to hang your claims on some sort of gigantic conspiracy in scientific publications, then you're just going to be dismissed. Scientific journals are international and not under the control of any one government. There would be an uproar if a government did try to interfere--and you can even see that happening with stem cell research. Again, the claim that the government is covertly suppressing scientific research is ludicrous.

  • It's not that they're suppressing the research, some of it gets published, it's that the research doesn't reach the masses. You bet the media corporations omit or debunk all kinds of crucial, truthful information. Also, most scientists, many in charge of scientific journals published around the world refuse to accept the validity of zero-point energy experiments because they're stuck solely in a classical paradigm. Don't take my word for it, investigate this for yourself with an open mind.

  • Give me an example of a publication of a perpetual energy machine in a peer-reviewed scientific journal that has not yet been overturned by a more recent publication.

  • This is not "perpetual energy" it is vacuum energy or zero-point energy we're talking about. Go to Tom Bearden's site and take a look at The Motionless Electromagnetic Generator. Off of Bearden's site there is T.Henry Moray's Radiant Energy Device. Nick Cook is a well-respected journalist who reports these findings regularly with excellent references. Mallove's MIT and Cold Fusion: A Special Report is a must read.

  • I've researched Bearden's MEG, and I've even looked at the patent application for it. The MEG is essentially just a transformer, nothing special about it at all. His discussion of "regauging" uses terms that are used in physics, but isn't physically valid. Tesla was the one who patented the radient energy device; it's a system of transmitting power, not creating it. Nick Cook is a journalist, not a scientist, and it's probably why he was so easily duped.

  • Why do people stupidly equate over-unity and zero-point energy physics (quantum physics) with classical laws of relativity? They are on different levels so why are "scientists" mixing models. It's stupid on academic and epidemic scales!

  • Conservation laws still apply in the quantum realm. If they didn't, the quantum model wouldn't simplify to classical equations in the classical limit. The two models are never mixed where one is more appropriate; they simply share common characteristics.

  • No they don't. Quantum physics cannot be simplified to a classical rationale nor accurately explained in the classical view. Read Eugene Mallove or Brian O'Leary's work. As a philosopher you wouldn't use Hegel to describe Nietzche. Both are written in English but completely separate concepts.

  • Okay. Quantum physics reduces to classical physics IN THE CLASSICAL LIMIT. The classical limit part, there, means that for large enough masses or energies, quantum physics and classical physics are the same. I find the idea that there is some great scientific conspiracy perpetrated by the US government hard to believe. Science is studied all over the world--surely the government's influence isn't so large that they can suppress all "free energy" research conducted anywhere.

  • You would be unpleasantly surprised to find the dire situation many of these free energy scientists are in. Greedy corporations snatch up alot of these experiments by coercive means. If you look at the track record, i.e. Tesla, Tewari, Bearden, Hutchison, Mallove. All either pressured to stop their experiments, had death threats, assassination attempts(some successful), raids by unknown burglars and 'authorities', and bought out by corporations in the military-industrial cartel.

  • Solid free energy research IS successfully being conducted all over the world it's just that you and I will hardly ever hear about it unless we dig on the internet.

  • You can find anything on the internet. The internet isn't peer-reviewed, and that's the problem. Scientific magazines have a degree of credibility because of their peer-reviewed nature, and when you don't see any free energy machines in these magazines, it implies that the free energy machines aren't proper science.

  • I've met and had numerous discussions with some of the inventors and scientists who are a part of the new free energy movement. Most of them have written countless meticulously scrutinized peer reviewed articles in journals and magazines by independant publishers (start with Mallove if you like @ infinite-energy). Information, being as invaluable as it is, is highly controlled. You and I must really dig for the truth and interpret what is actually going on free of bias.

  • This doesn't make any sense. Physicists calling people up to tell them to "watch their back"? How did the guy know the caller was a physicist? Did he say "Watch your back, or I'll beat you up with a slide rule!" Science is about challenging the foundations. No scientist would have anything to gain by covering something like this up.

  • Only a scientist with vested interests who are in bed with the ruling elite cartel who can complain to someone in the cartel organization to buy them out, kill them, imprison them on phony charges, or discredit their work to cut off funding.

  • I found out the guy who made the water powered torch, died of poisoning. So many scientist die, so if you got something put the information on the net! Dont try to turn a profit!

  • if you don't have any background in at least undergrad thermodynamics please look it up first. Guess what, the real thermodynamics begins with demonstrations of how most things you were taught in high school were wrong.

  • I don't trust these guys at all...

  • Hello mass can be destroyed to create energy!!! and if anyone wants to say otherwise, Answer this. What does an atomic bomb do? it creates energy by splitting an atom, thus destroying mass! So those laws don't always apply now do they!?!?

  • yes, mas and energy can be interchanged, but the total amount of mass-energy in a system is conserved.

  • Coneel you misunderstand the laws of thermodynamics. In the case of an atomic bomb, the energy exists in the integrity of the uranium atoms; the bounds within. Severing those bonds releases the energy. But guess what, all the energy is wasted! All of it! The laws point to entropy within the universe, which is absolutely consistent with a nuclear reaction.

  • And by entropy, I mean the steady decline of the sum total of all energy available. In any system, some energy will be wasted such that more is required to produce less in whatever conversion process it undergoes. A nuclear bomb wastes all its energy, every last drop of it.

  • If it works, I say go for it. Like the poster behind him said, "all science starts out as blasphemy. I've seen several new inventions either delayed by our government, or totally squashed. The gov makes billions off of oil. They don't want to let go of the arab tit.

  • A pint of Guiness gives me much more energy than it does to create it... Problem Solved!

  • Watch them cherry-pick the notable wacko scientists. Peer-review works, not marketing and politics. This magnet theory has been used before as a scam, and without any concrete proof, there's no reason to believe it's not a scam.

If anybody thinks I'm full of shit, feel free to invest your life savings in Steorn. You'll be financing that guy's Ferrari payments...

  • We should continue this conversation after the real scientist have discorveret this. Braking fysical rules is bigger news than free energy.

  • Hope its for real, oil rules the world and is in need of being toppled.

  • I hope someone burns down their factory and all the staff sent to Iraq. Fucking scammers DIE.

  • i hope to GOD that their invention is the real deal, because we're about to run out of oil

  • Would this qualify for JREF's $1 million prize? Hasn't this been debunked before? Looking at their website, they claim that people have verified their results, but are unwilling to publish. Echoes of cold fusion/Thomas Bearden... Lets investigate real alternatives, like improving solar cells, or improving the efficiency of hybrid cars.

  • If you cannot "create" energy, as defined by the Laws of Physics, then the Big Bang never happened...

Manipulation of a Magnetic field is transfer of energy, but isn't a magnetic field itself a perpetual machine?

We may have to wait an eternity to find out.

  • That is a BRILLIANT point!

  • Your logic is flawed. WHile you can not create or destroy either energy or matter, it is possible to convert between the two. The big bang is described as a singular point of *matter*. When it exploded, some of that matter was turned to energy. These nuclear processes continue today in the heart of EVERY sun in the universe.

  • That is an interesting point you have made, but it left me with the question: "What then is the definition of creation?" Answer: "to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes."

  • But, is it possible to determine definitively if the EVENT of the Big Bang explosion was in fact a NATURAL event? What evidence do we have to support this of being a Natural or Unnatural event?

  • its veeery improbable, but teories can be broken with proves, so, wait... its not impossible, just improbable!

    PS: very improbable :)

  • There arent any powerful people trying to kill these people for this energy device. No one has enough to lose over free energy. Fossil fuels will probably be used until they are depleted no matter what.. Not to mention physics doesnt care much for creating energy

  • Arab interests make 200 billion per year off fossil fuels. How much would they alone be willing to spend to suppress this new technology?

  • You make a good point. No one knows who Steron's investors are. By supporing a bogus technology, big oil gives real alternate energy a bad name, and maintain their monolopy.

  • These people also risk their lives as part of the succes of free energy. Many powerful men and women benefit from the use of fossile energy. im talking about billions of dollars here at stake.

    Very interesting though.

  • These peoples lives SHOULD be in jepordy. They're frausters presenting a fake technology that has been proven time and time again to be fake. There is NO perpetual motion. For those of us whose daily lives revolve around technology, the truth is clear. Big oil has nothing to fear from these guys. The only help big oil by stealing dollars from legit alternative energy research, and giving alt energy a bad reputation.

  • Stealing? Lots of 'legit' commercial project result in useless products,as we all know, and those products end up on the scrap heap. Why should a project like this be banned, if someone is willing to fund research?

Speaking of research, not much energy research has been done in the lats 100 years. Same oil, same electricity. Motors and dynamos have gotten, what, 30% more efficient. In 100 years. Good Job.

  • Yes, STEALING! There is NOTHING legit about taking money to 'develop' something that has been proven time and time again to be scientificly unsound. What they're selling is 'perpetual motion'. It DOES NOT EXIST!!!

So you'd rather limited research dollars go to crooks that a real company that makes a dud product? Where is the logic in that??

  • As for efficiency, we've about reached the limit with existing technology. They're as efficient as they're going to get. I can assure you that funding charlatans isn't going to produce the paradigm shift you're wishing for. Infact, it's preventing it. Worse yet, you support that.

  • Now I get it, you pick fights on internet. Interesting lifestyle.

This particular enterprise should be shut down because you have a phobia of perpetual motion? I bet you'd get a lot less agitated over companies using child labor or prostitution.

  • It's not a phobia of perprtual motion, it's an aversion to fraud and those who perpetrate it against the less informed. Nice straw man BTW: You can't refute what I'm saying so you imply my point is invalid because there is no immediate evidence that I'm not fighting some other wrong. For the record, I've had the mispleasure of having to report child abuse on more than one occasion. Fucking ASSHOLE.

  • You need to cool your jets. What harm can be done by proving your point? Let them experiment and prove you right. Screaming bigoted "opinions" at people doesn't help anyone's day.

  • Harm comes to those who are so desperate to make a difference in this world, getting ripped off by scammers who couln't care less once way or the other. Agreed that they'll never succeed in making this bogus device work, but these leaches steal REAL money from valid projects that COULD solve our energy problems. That is TOO high a price to pay.

  • That would be cool if he found something this amazing. I love seeing the scientific process though, the scientists they use for that study are going to look for everyway to disprove him.

  • Doubtful. Hundreds of scientists applied to test it, but it is Steron that picks the 12. Fake technology like this should be really easy to bust since it is IMPOSSIBLE. You CAN *NOT* break the laws of physics. There is no free lunch.

  • It's true you can't break the laws of physics, but the law of thermodynamics only applies to closed systems. It's possible this works, but isn't a closed system. With that said it doesn't sound right to me either.

  • Sarren: If it isn't a closed system, and the additional energy is coming from an outside source, then by definition, it's a FAKE!!! The only possible explanation for additional energy is a hidden battery, or other such source.

  • It's only a fake if you care more about the princples invloved than whether it creates energy. If the outside source of energy isn't something we have to provide it still creates more power than we put in which is what's important here.

  • No, it's FAKE if it puts out more energy than you put in. Period. I'll repeat it again, in terms even YOU can understand. There has been, is not, nor will there EVER be a device that puts out more energy than it takes in. Magents ARE NOT a source of energy. Steron's device DOES NOT WORK, and is incapable of creating energy out of thin air.

  • A century ago one of the scientific foundations was that atoms were indivisible. Let's hope science is willing to investigate, the current science is turning the world to sh t.

  • TO this day atoms still are 'invisible' They can not be imaged using photons (light). It's not current science that is turning the world to shit. It's crooks we call leaders, and the sheeple who do nothing when they do wrong. Don't blame science for YOUR apathy.

  • he said "indivisible", not "invisible". Atoms ARE divisible. So science was wrong, but we learned.

  • pish... build an app, prove the tech and cut the chat, wheres the problem? who is stopping them from doing that?

geez, at least build a toy or something and stop whining
