  • Nothing like over priced production machines. I've owned a few in all honesty. But this is getting ridiculous. Mass cast frames milled by a company and the only thing they do is roll their coils.. Well some of them. Seth buys his from a guy in Oregon and gets $500 per machine from rubes. Buy a real handmade machine instead.

  • well i have total respect for these guys there hard workers that are dedicated to there trade the cardboard coil covets are a bit odd though never seen anything like it

  • where is your guys' shop located?

  • Is this 6160 alloy or 7075??

  • Hey, Here is KingWay Tattoo Supplier in China, if you are interested in tattoo equipment, please contact us, Thanks www8kingwaytattoo8com (8 is dot)

  • respect: watch my tattoo machine video

  • i dont get why the cardboard core, instead of metal

  • @mexicanamerican21

its not cardboard core bro thats insulation .. grant it that wouldnt be my choice but it will work .. the cores prolly 1018 steel or iron .. shuld always be pure soft iron (annealed) tho

  • hmmmm toasty marshmallow at 2:30. Wish I could shop at workhorse.

  • What is the tool that the springs/abar are being held in when tightening them? I need to get one.

And btw I own a Soba Delux Pilot Shader and Liner. Incredible machines, worth every penny. But if you can't afford em, you should check out Kylin machines on ebay. Yes, they're Chinese, but they're about $60 (including shipping) and they kick ass too. Not as good as Soba, but good for an apprentice or scratcher.

  • @immune2lies Ok just answered my own question, the tool is called a spring alignment jig.

  • @Headshothorror4488 yeah that sounds like a great idea, lets support those that commit blatant copyright infringement and use our name to sell shit Chinese knock offs....I'm sure you would appreciate some other artist copying your work and claiming it as their own....what an honorable way to conduct business.

  • I just purchased the Pilot Liner and Pilot shader and they kick ass!Good basic solid machines that are reliable and live up to their name!People who I work with who have been tattooing 10 plus years said that these machines are great and they sure were right!

  • Those Fkirons are a rip off! you can get the same aluminium pyro frame same aluminium binding post and aluminium screws on the world wide tattoo machine which can be bought for about $120 ok they have copied the deign but if they can sell the frame and other parts for $120 what the f@*k are you paying for with the fk irons? there $480 $360 for A bar, coils, & springs like anything else your paying for the name buy the wwt machine then kit it out with the fk stuff save about $300

  • International Tattoo Supply sells Workhorse machines to all artists. Less then half the price of these , Solid Iron Workhorse !!

  • @Headshothorror4488 they sell knock off workhorse shit from china not real workhorses at half the cost

  • @mikeseidlling, u sent a message saying there put together with shit parts but they are put together great with solid parts. Made in usa. Yeah there is no "name"tagged on it like mickey sharps or fk irons but a name is a name. There machines are as solid as any other workhorse. Also just cause there not tuned by a "name" dont mean they suck like u said. It means u tune them yourself. They are no good if u cant tune other wise there solid workhorse machines

  • @Headshothorror4488 actually mine even came tuned perfect and runs great!

  • A workhorse iron or iron workhorse from I.T.S. ? My i.t.s came good for a long stroke, to much tension but i still re-tuned it to how I tattoo and how I like them to run. Put a 18 back and a short 16 front to get a perfect flat hit on the tip of the front spring ,rolled front not bent and the o-ring puts most of the role in the spring so it works well. 90cps 50-51 % for the shortest stroke (shading) and 45% at a short/medium stroke for solid/whatever. Might switch bar to raise speed.

  • @Headshothorror4488 Workhorse Iron.. PERFECT I got the B.J. Pilot Liner and Pilot Shader. Works awesome. People who hate on workhorse irons have no clue. They might as well hate on mickey Sharps. I have no clue about the ITS.

  • @kowtpr187 Oh, cool !! Well I dont "hate" on workhorse irons at all. Would rather just buy a solid iron

workhorse machine $55 or any solid iron frame and tune it myself and save allot of wasted money. Instead of spending $400 on a machine because of the name. A iron machine is a iron machine. Names dont impress me

much. I would only get FK Iron's because his shit is amazing out the box, i tried my boys out A+. Your duty was low 30's right ? I dont like that.

  • @mikeseidlling Maybe u should buy one , tune it and see how solid it is. If Gaston tuned the iron workhorse for u it would run just like his. Plus they dont have a huge selection and there nothing like workhorse irons so they cant be knock offs. Why do you think they dont make them ? If you have info i dont please let me know. I doubt china makes solid frames like them. Hope not haha

  • @Headshothorror4488 you know you were talking about hating scratchers on some other forum recently and yet here you are talking about a company that sells to scratchers and also sells machines to fool you your a bitch

  • @deoss69 yes he is and he has multiple sign ons , hes a real troll , goes around and sucks on every builders dick he can, nothing like 22 year old kids talking shit like they know it all . there is another one just like him 6 post up .

  • These machines will out last any one person. made very well I think..

  • I really like how these machines are made. I have a few questions. Its a steel frame correct?i like steel and brass myself. I like that it is machined. What size are the coils and how many ufs is the capacitor. They look solid!I even like the tube vice. I can't tell you how many times I have bought a good machine and was pissed because of a poorly made tube vise.

  • love my workhorses...they are exactly what the name implys, everday drivers or WORKHORSES...so many builders try to get over technical and argue over the dumbest things but cant even get geometry right. My coils are still going strong and i use the hell outa my machines for hours and hours EVERYDAY...my mickey sharpz rock too...alot of machine building and custom one-off stuff is all hype so find something you like and stick with it

  • Those coils looked poorly wrapped why would they put cardboard on the cores? just saying.

  • @calavera69 Poorly wrapped? Bar none Soba makes some of the best coils out there, period! It's funny how all a number of people are jumping on what they "think" is a problem. I'd like to hear from just ONE person who can honestly say this has casued anykind of prpblem with their coil(s)..it doesn't and won't. Again, before some of you open your mouths, you might want to get close to having a clue what you are talking about.

  • @MrPinstruck no problems here...there are alot of monday morning quarterbacks that have to nitpick to sound smart or gotta bitch about something because they cant tattoo and fall short on machine building too.machinebuilding is alot like tattooing these days...too many people think its for them and dont have a clue. This is not rocket science and shouldnt be treated as such...ppl have been making tattoo machines for a long time that run awesome and they are good simple designs

  • @MrDeepsea65 yes your totally right workhorse machines are very good ( I own 3 of them myself ) and im not saying theres anything wrong with them I just noticed that if that was cardboard it might cause problems in the future

  • i dont know why he would put cardboard over the coil core after a while with moisture and madacide spray and stuff thats gunna fall apart electrical or kapton tape would be much better (just my opinion)

  • @mjphx Yes I noticed that too. They are probably quite strong and sealed so are quite water tight but you do get accidents. There are some nice polycarbonate tubes which will last forever. Then again Soba is a world class machine builder.

  • @mjphx it makes perfect since. they do that so u can have to later buy new coils when those are no good anymore. just like building cars they design parts to wear out so you have to replace them. Its called making money :) lol

  • Comment removed

  • @alc84 The coils, like his machines are quaranteed for like asshole...IF there was a problem they'd be replaced free of cost. Do you really believe Soba would put soemthing out there that's going to come back on him like you are saying? Dude, get a clue before you open your mouth, as it is you just show your ignorance.

  • @MrPinstruck i was reffering to vehicles being designed to wear out and paying to replace them. I never said thats the case for tattoo machines. you need to re read what was said before u open your mouth dumb ass. so dont get smart with me when your clueless yourself idiot

  • @alc84" it makes perfect since. they do that so u can have to later buy new coils when those are no good anymore. just like building cars they design parts to wear out so you have to replace them. Its called making money :) lol" this was your quote...it's VERY clear that you were talking about Soba's tattoo machine coils being made to wear out, LIKE vehicles...or were you just talking about cars for no fucking reason at all? At least TRY to make sense!

  • @MrPinstruck the cars part was a fact and it was just an example towards the coils but i never said yes those coils are made to wear out. I said it makes since that it would be kind of like cars. never said they actually wear out and i know exactly what im talking about so dont try to debate with me because you will lose every time :)

  • @mjphx Fall apart? Interesting...for the sake of arguement, lets just say that moisture did manage to find its way to the cardboard...it's wrapped by layers of wire and the shrink wrapped, nothing is just going to fall apart! If you don't have a clue what you are talking about, why talk? (just my opinion)

  • @mjphx the cardboard is covered with the coil wire and shrink wrap though. Its not like you are going to soak the machine in madacide.

  • @mjphx both ends are capped off, and then its heat shrunk, i dont see how anything could get inside unless you are submerging it

  • si a esto le llaman maquinas de tatuaje hand made (hechas a mano) yo me descojono es como tener un ford fiesta,LO TIENE TODO DIOS

  • what is the machine at 3minutes?...

    taking the enamelling of?

  • @inkfink1 agreed love my soba

  • ive been tattooing from about 1994 and ive been trying allmost every tattoo machine but nothing compare with soba really happy thanx dude for building really good tattoo machines :D

  • @valentinrusu gee you must really suck if ya tried all sorts of machines, i can do clean neat tattoo's with ebay guns....hahaha its not the gun its the person holding it..ffs

  • @zeffman99 That is true. You can do great tattoos with crappy machines but nice ones make it alot easier and quicker. ts not worth the hassle to use mediocore equipment.
