All you need to do is buy skype out for $60.00 for a whole year, which gives you unlimited calling anywhere US, Canada & Mexico. Then buy iPod, dowload Skype and you can call anywhere there is a wifi connection. Cheers!

i tried that i had the wireless connection and everything but it said "unable to connect" why is that? is there something that you need to change from the option prior to the call?

You need a router and it needs to be set to automatically assign and hand out IP addresses, through DHCP. If your router is set for specific IPs, then this wont work. Can any of your friends log into your ISP with no password, just like a hot spot. Well, this is the key factor.
