  • So, who's 'finna tab this? lol

  • this song is fucking perfect.

  • How can you guys listen to something that sounds akin to a cat being shredded alive?

I know music is all opinion and shit, but how can anyone tolerate this repetative bag of mediocrity, let alone subject the sound to their own ears? It should be a crime for one to torture themselves with this kind of insane butchery of what we call music.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

  • @GeneralOctavius Congratulations sir, you just went full retard.

  • @GeneralOctavius 0/10 trying too hard

  • @GeneralOctavius Your ears must be fucked up or something. You might try pulling your head out of your ass. I've heard that can cause bad hearing.

  • smackadickandtakeyourpick

darn tootin people they are here.

    and they are real

  • THIS FUCKING SONG MAN

  • hey people just so you know what djent really is, djent is a chugging riff on the guitar that makes it sound like its going djent, djent , djent, i watched a video with marc okubo and peripherys guitarist, they said that it was a word that meshuggas guitarist used for one technique on the guitar.. its not a genre, just one technique

kids just started calling the music that when most of it doesnt even have that djent sound at all

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 I LOVE YOU

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 It's just a guitar tone that gives a distinct sound.. That's it.. No need to over-complicate things.

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 djent is a genre

    this isn't djent though

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 Finally someone who knows what's up thanks for stating the purpose!

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 Got djent?

  • @ParkwayBurnsRed3 You watched the SAME EXACT video I did. Thank you for pointing this out. I felt like I was the only person that knew the actual story.

  • @SynodicPeriod yea man really they can call it that all they want but in reality i just call it progressive metal.. or progressive aggressive lol

  • Such an interesting song. Makes me think of like, jazz death metal? Mainly because all the interesting timings and all the instruments are getting an equal part say in the song. and not to mention that smooth slowed down part near the middle.

  • 0:54 ~1:16 Feel submerged in mind parallel reality

  • I like this logo better than the current one

  • that bass player is jazzy as fuck. fucking LOVE The Faceless!!!! oh and Michael Keene aint bad either haha

  • @Sonoofjackass1202 well then do you know what time this is in? its definetly not in 4/4

  • @HTSTG It's before Djent really got big on the scene, but it's too similar too ignore. this is early djent. not technical death metal. the BAND is, the song? Djent. that was the point -___-

  • @SonofJackass1202 Djent's not even a genre, it's just a word that describes guitar tone. Bands like The Acacia Strain, Periphery, Animals as Leaders etc. use the "Djent" guitar tones. And I'm not sure why genre is even a big deal to everyone, music is music.

  • @sonofamitch56 djent is a genre, it's on wikipedia, it's not just a sound, it involves complex beats and a progressive sound in music, and low tuning. It sounds cool, if you don't say genre isn't a big deal then quit saying it isn't, it just helps classify music in a more simple manner.

  • @munruthel1 When you get into the 500971097435+ genres that kids make these days, it's not a big deal what they classify them as. I'm just trying to stop people from arguing on my videos so my inbox won't get blown the fuck up. And it's my video, I can say whatever the fuck I want.

  • @sonofamitch56 dude lol, chill out, I don't care whos video this is, I can listen to this song on grooveshark if I wanted, so I guess if I go and post that technical death metal isn't a real genre that means it's true right? There aren't that many genres, like I said it's just to classify, if someone asks what kinda of music you listen to, you can just name that genre, instead of listing a whole bunch of bands, what I can't comprehend is why people get so pissed off just because genres exist

  • @munruthel1 Just for the sake of my apathy, I'm going to stop commenting. I seriously didn't ask for your opinion so I don't see why you feel the need to insult mine. Please don't let your Djent boner get caught on something.

  • @sonofamitch56 ok bye, you're butthurtness will be greatly missed xD

  • @SonofJackass1202

    How is this djent, lol

  • @sonofamitch56 It sounds like Jazz Because of the chords and Metal because of the sound and tone or whatever and Rock becasue of a few of the Riffs...

  • I don't listen to much stuff like this... but i think now I may

  • What the hell genre is this?

  • @HTSTG Technical Death Metal.

  • @sonofamitch56 I love this band, don't get me wrong, but it's bordering to being Core. Although, fortunatly it isn't

  • @HTSTG Aliencore

  • what kind of metal is it? progressive?

  • Comment removed

  • if anyone is listening you should listen to the album undeceived by extol it has a somewhat same feel to the music, i know they are a cristian band but great music is great music all the same

  • damn, theme song to my life..

  • @ironcladgungrave i feel that way too

  • Amazing

  • This is still one of the best Jazz metal songs ever

  • The bass solo is like porn movie music

  • do i hear minds mirrors in there? yes. yes i do.

  • "akeldama" by the faceless vs "anticosmic overload" by obscura

  • Vocoder's kick ass

  • This is one of my current favorite songs.

I love the melody and all of that jazz.

  • the fuck is the end of the song?

  • I fucked an alien to this song.

  • @RyuichiNoGekido me too haha

  • @RyuichiNoGekido You too? lmAOO

  • @RyuichiNoGekido Damn. I bet it was good too.

  • @RyuichiNoGekido .....LMAO.. you sick bastard that was good thou.

  • @RyuichiNoGekido i fuck aliens to rings of saturn though

  • @RyuichiNoGekido Was that you fucking that Alien behind that one spaceship? Damn that was intense!

  • once we were drinking some beers with a few friends, and a very good friend of mine put on this song on his mobile phone, and we were both rocking and spacing out on this song! by the time it was done, like 6 people left and we were there all alone xD "okay ill put it on again!"

  • good band but the production is too polished or something, I don't like the sound of the toms either. seems like every metal band these days is in a race to sound the most plastic or fake. There should be a trend going back to a more analog sound

  • @csplendrig The production on this album was different than Planetary Duality, and of course the quality on this video isn't top notch so it effects the sound a bit. And this song has a lot of keyboard influence and that weird vocoder shit going on too, listen to some of their other songs.

  • @sonofamitch56 ok I'll check their other stuff out...thanks

  • @csplendrig Haha I think the same way about the way the drums were recorded.

  • @csplendrig why should we take steps back because you dont like the sound. you want analog recording than i suggest you go meet up with doc brown real quick and go for a test drive ion that delorean of his.

  • @boring987 a better sound would be a step forward, which is completely possible to do digitally. But if you want to sound like shit and think you're new age or something then knock yourself out

  • @csplendrig WTF does that even mean. your completely contradicting yourown statement now. first you say they need to go analog, now better sound is a step forward? make up your mind.

  • Hey boring I'll try to clear up your confusion as best I can. Basically when someone talks about something being better or worse, these are subjective opinions and what I view as better could be completely different as to what you view of better sounding is. Some people think a more analog sound is more pleasing to the ears, others prefer digital. I personally prefer a more analog sound but I do concede a good sound is possible with digital as well, when done right - which in this case wasn't.

  • @csplendrig I kinda agree with you, man. I love old school death/black/funeral doom metal, it has such a fitlhy, evil and heavy sound to it...but this is good too. The Faceless are talented, nevertheless.

  • @csplendrig Yeah that's true. I know black metal artists love producing raw sound rather than digitalized shit.

  • this is awesome

  • Cutting the ending by a second on the video completely kills it :(

    Still an awesome song though

  • @twinmill5000

    agreed. completely.

  • @twinmill5000 I honestly have no idea why it did that. My computer's fucking retarded though
