Can someone explain to me how boxing records work? What I mean is, in the UFC, the average win percentage is around 75%. In boxing, almost all the guys' records I look at are around 90 or above percent. I seriously don't understand how they all have such great records. My only theory is that in boxing, more amateurs fight pros and therefore drop out after only five or so fights, thus increasing the pro fighters' records to insane win percentages... any help would be much appreciated...

@normalpsychology OK, here is the science and math part: A guy turns pro. He usually has to beat 15 established guys to be considered a prospect. If he gets to 20-25 fights he gets ranked. At that point every win is crucial and he is fighting other top guys for a title shot. If he wins the title, he then defends it and/or changes weight to get another title. But every once in a while someone special comes along and can do things no on else can. In your case, John Bones Jones...

Ali was my hero and I didn't want him to lose, but in Truth Foreman would have Ko'd Ali if it was'nt FIXED. Watch what Foreman did to Frazier a year earlier and you may believe me. Foreman was throwing punches without putting his shoulder behind them so he would'nt hurt Ali. Look at Foreman's feet they are a dead give away. Notice who was in the ring at the start, Don King.
