I say that no company should ever quit a game series like this without the last game having a 100% fully-featured level editor and online capability.
It's so that even though the company is done with the game, and the community wants more, the community can GET more, by making and sharing it themselves. :)
@Sparkz1607 A level editor would be kind of hard for Super Monkey Ball without it having huge limitations. You can see they went absolutely NUTS with stage design, and that's remained consistent with every Super Monkey Ball game. Oftentimes, objects are created for only one stage in the game, or objects move in erratic and complicated ways for just one stage.
Super Monkey Ball is far from over though. SEGA loves sending Aiai into uncharted territory, most recently with Super Monkey Ball 3D.
You know, when I first got to this world (boy, I was young then) I always thought these levels were up to sheer luck, when there's always a concrete way to complete these stages. It really goes to show how much thought and creativity they put into these games.
I wonder if the people who made these retired or something before banana blitz, step n' roll, and the other games came out, they're so radically different and not nearly as fun.
@Axapez Seeing the smartphone version of this game, the same people design them--most likely, they had some "suggestions" from the higher-ups they were forced to take with some of the subsequent games. Personally, I did like Banana Blitz quite a bunch though. It's just that sort of game where the novelty wears off quickly. It happened with Mega Man, for instance, back in the NES era.
If the monkeys can fly in their balls, then why go through all those levels to stop Bad-boon? Couldn't they just fly over them and be done with it? Sorry, but Im taking this WAY too literally, but seriously though - its a thought.
when at the first look on the cork screw i thought it was the same thing as the coaster but then i looked where the placement of those holes and it kind of scared me.
With 2,109 videos... you deserve WAY more subscribers than you have. The quality of your videos is good, you are very professional, and I don't see why you don't have AT LEAST 50,000 subscribers.
On 9-5, what button do you use to jump across to where the goal is?
Metstwins93 2 months ago
@Metstwins93 None. I just built up speed. No button does anything to help get to the goal anyway. It's just the control stick to move.

I hate how childish the cutscene endings are...

@Artrocks93 It's the game's way of saying this is only for the toughest of video game players.

@Artrocks93 It's Sega... They're always cheesy

@Kororocks12 That's what I thought abot too--but there's really no easy way to write a story around these stages.

I think I'm going to need therapy to get over the mere SIGHT of some of these stages.
Seriously, great job getting through these.
BigKlingy 11 months ago
@BigKlingy Yep. You can see how I did the ball stages in Mario Galaxy so easily, huh?
Overhazard 11 months ago
Man my brother and I play this all the time. Between this and Super Mario Bros 3, I think we've beaten them like, dozens of times.

@hottiecuttie012 What would you call the stage then? (There are actually many different sorts of guillotines.)

@bigdawg89BCD Thanks, but subscriber counts are just that--numbers. People are enjoying thse videos, and that's pretty much all that matters.

@7ofSpade I believe you just use the control stick.
