@89sweetsweet agree im planing to do the same with my future kids too,im 20...but you say you like it more than contemporany music,in fact this is contemporany, the album was realized in 2009 but it still has the beauty of the past music!
All songs that I have heard by A-ha, are ones I heard on the radio. But I don't listen much to the radio, so I never knew who was playing that awsome song. I think A-ha is a great band. And I'm a real metal head.
This is an absolute classic. Well done aha and thankyou for never forgetting your uk fan base. Good luck for whatever your choose to do in the future and thank you so much for all the glorious music...
I absolutely LOVE A-ha. I have been listening to them since 1985, when I was 26 years old. I am 51 now,and I love A-ha more than ever. They are my favorite band.
I just saw a-ha in their final farewell concert in chicago...i have never seen them before and they were absolutely amazing! i would do anything to see them again! and this song played and i fell in love with it! and i love that morten hits every single note!(:
This sounds like Keane, A-ha have been around for 25 years but I cant think of any Keane songs that sound like A-ha. This song is definately influenced by Keane.

I think it's their most boring album, no real highlight songs. Go check out This Alone is Love (the album version, not the demo on Youtube), go check out the song East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon. That's the real a-ha, not the bland stuff on their new album. :(

Just because A-ha were created before Coldplay why the hell does that mean a-ha could not sound like Coldplay? Think about it FFS.
This tune is one of their worst ever and very disappointing after Analogue. Analogue was a far stronger single...we shall see if FOTM charts in the UK.
And peeps are fully entitled to express their likes and dislikes on here so live with it.
I heard this song last night on the radio for the first time but the DJ didn't say who it was, AHA came to mind immediately, Coldplay didn't even cross my mind. It sounds 100% AHA, and obviously sounds like Coldplay to those who are not already familiar with AHA's music, a younger generation perhaps.
Haha. If you don't like the new album to A-ha you can just listen to something else or shut up. Don't write alot of bullshit on Youtube. "The new album suck." "They need to stop socialising with Coldplay." Bla bla bla. Just shut up and listen to the music damnit... -.-

Their worst album since the creativity born in 1993 with "Memorial Beach". I loved "Minor Earth, Major Sky" & I thought they were absolutely GREAT with "Lifelines" and "Analogue". This new CD it's not good for me... and the lyrics too aren't deep as always. Paul Waakatar-Savoy made a best work in the pasts albums. Sorry, at the moment A-ha aren't my favorite group anymore. I'm disappointed.
I LOVE A-ha. I have loved them from the first time that I heard them in 1985. The guys have always been superb, and their talents get better with the passing of time. This song is yet another gem from three beautiful Norwegian hearts.

you don't have to ship the new CD from overseas. It is available as a digital download off the UNiversal Norway website -exclusively for non-European fans.
This is one of the best albums aha has ever made. Lots of hits and i really hope they will do well in the UK when they realese it in july. a-ha is back again
when listening to whole album, the chorus from "what there is" stands out right away. Maybe they should have gone with the verses from "foot of the mountain" and used the chorus from "what there is" just my humble opinion.
It possesses a power, precision and raw emotion that a-ha may never attain again. Vocally and instrumentally it echoes a heart-rendering synthesis of all a-ha's striking elements.
SASOTV is an operatic, balladic, booming song of yearning intensity and ostentatious defiance. It breathes fire and leaves the listener aurally scorched.
Take on me is not in a-ha's top 5 for me.
A-ha have made some excellent songs post Memorial Beech but, like any creative force, it's powers vary at times.

I did listen to all the songs, and I was very disappointed. Just because it is a-ha it does not mean it is always quality. I suspect they would admit as much.

Have just listened to segments of the new a-ha album - VERY moderate.....is this the end?
I think they may need a break, again. I don't expect them to make perfect albums all the time, but I fear their ability to make an album that contains at least 5 decent tunes may have dwindled.
Please come back, I've never been to one of your concerts :'((...

Not their best song, even not approaches the level of Lifelines, Forever not yours or Summer moves on, but still tolerable.
An average A-ha songs.
If the disc doesn't contain many weaker songs, we could be totally satisfied with their new album.

A sad day.

It is so nice to see a-ha making a comeback. 2009 is shaping up to be an amazing year for 80's icons with PSB, U2, Depeche and now a-ha.
