  • this is not on stoneagegamer any more

  • @ddrisawesome123 its back instock!!!!!!! yay

  • @ddrisawesome123 :0 I must find one then!

  • Our local videogame shop just got these in. I hope they have the version 2's.

  • I prefer Bigger, I wish those Screens where Larger especially.

  • I'm gonna buy one of these and mod it into a portable n64

  • I NEEEED IT!!!!- Spongebob

  • @TVsmasher66 I don't need it. I don't need it. I definitely don't need it..... I NEEEED IT!!!!!

  • Small screen

  • i made a portable nintendo 64

  • How do you knwo if you are buying version 1 or 2? Is the box art different or does the site specify?

  • And this gentlemen..is the beginning of the DS

  • how do you turn off version 2? i just got it and it tells me to press the on/off button in the middle of the console but there is no button?!?!?

  • Is it just me or is anybodyelse's controllers not synking to the consol?

  • you are showing me stuff i didnt even know existed, love it.

ive seen the supaboy coming out soon, do you know if its any good? as i live in england and not much of this cool stuff ever gets realesed over here??

  • Does it play PAL games as I am looking for a new portable

  • Ordered mine today! woot.

  • Does it play super famicom games?

  • Just bought this....=D Does anyone happen to know where I can get an extra battery? I don't want to be hindered by the short battery life....I don't think it would be much trouble to carry a few more batteries around.

  • I'd probably pick one up, as my original SNES is pretty banged up, and this is an awesome thing to bring on a flight. Original classic gaming! :D

  • SOME ONE PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can you connect a original snes controller to the system and play it like that?

  • how much does it cost ? if it's undr 100$ i'lll think about buying it but the nex system i'll but is the NGP not to be confused with the neo geo pocket

  • I would love to get one of these! The question for me though is, since I live in the UK, does it run PAL games?

  • nice watch

  • does it work with the super gameboy?

  • @TheSyrupCompany It worked with the Version 1 so I'm sure it will work with the Version 2.

  • @TheSyrupCompany yes, yes it dose. And SUPER MARIO RPG DOSE TOO PLAY ON THIS >_>

  • The ultimate arcade in the back is worth about 1000-2500 dollars (US)

  • @yucky2322 nah, I just decided to share what the stupid side of my brain sent to the smart side.

  • i don't get it, are these snes emulators?

  • @ivorysandstorm no, theyre just built with the guts of an SNES, with the addition of the LCD, wireless controllers, etc

  • nice to see a rviewr who lives in arizona... BIT IN HORRED PHOINX

  • whoa, this vid was uploaded on my cousins bday O.o

  • HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING. If a Mario game has the word "Brothers" in it, then that means that you can play as both Mario and Luigi, hence Mario Bros!

  • @godofchaos606 You can be either in Super Mario World, silly.

  • @5t3pH3N91 I know, but if a Mario game has the word "Brothers" in it, then that means that they HAVE to at least give a role of Luigi to be played as.

  • it looks like a giant ds

  • If only we had this technology back in the day,ppl would've flipped out!! Portable Gaming would've been alot greater.....too bad we had the old school gameboy where we had to find a light source and set the contrast from light to dark LOL goodtimes

  • Wut are they?

  • wow! i had no idea tom morello was so into gaming.

  • I have the version 2. An not even a week after having it i lost the charger for it :P But they sell one where you open the back and take the battery out an put it into the charger and just plug it straight into the wall socket. Alittle more work but works for what I need it for, :) got it through stoneagegamer website, a good backup plan if you are like me and lose chargers :P

  • @chaoskruun And as a small extra comment to the video, the super maro rpg, is tha tlegend of the seven stars? Because my version 2 played it when i first got it, the cart has broke and now wont play. One thing i did notice tho, the carts made like Mario RPG don't exactly fit well in the fc 16 or version 2. It's a real tight fit and takes alot to pull it out once its in. I think thats why my cart broke :( I loved that game to :(

  • the hidden game is super nohas ark 3d

  • Somehow the Version 1 d-pad looked like what you find on a Playstation controller.

  • wouldnt be cool if you can download all games from your virtual snes? is there anything like that? let all of us know. great videos. i will subscribe.

  • I just bought one of these and it does play Super Mario RPG.

  • This is like the grandfather of the Nitendo DS Lite ^^.

  • Does Earthbound work on this, or any RPG title?!

  • @rh7889 Ya earthbound plays great on this (as well as all the other RPG's)

  • @clrplstc The only time mine works is when its plugged in using the AC adapter, even though I put in the rechargable battery. Why won't mine work when isn't plugged in?

  • @rh7889 That's weird. Did you let it charge for 12 hours the first time you charged it? If so I would probably clean the contacts for the battery and then try it again...

  • @clrplstc I let it charge for more than 12 hours when I first got it, and I just got done cleaning the contacts for the battery, and guess what? IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rh7889 That sucks! I'd send it back and maybe get a trade in, or your money back.

  • PS I got the Version 2 today for Xmas. :)

  • The only time mine works is when its plugged in using the AC adapter, even though I put in the rechargable battery. Why won't mine work when isn't plugged in?

  • Did i just see super Noah's ark 3D?or super 3d noahs ark?

  • Less like a handheld,more like a portable SNES.

  • look at his watch 3:43 hahahah no offense man cool videos

  • @Silver460 Thats a Nintendo mini classics watch

  • what does the battery look like?

  • do you know if they will make a pal version of this?

  • I found the GAMES!!!!!

  • No super mario rpg? Damn! Thats the main game i was thinking of when i wanted to buy this

  • Might try getting this next month

  • can u use the wireless controller not on the tv but just on the portable version

  • drop $30 extra for a PSP. Hack it for a region-free emulator for NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Famicon, Atari 2600... the list is endless.

  • @Watswat5 except this is legal.

  • does the site stone age gamer have good service? my mom's wanting to know

  • This is a good review about the FC16. I've seen it being sold online but have always been skeptical on wither it was a good buy with out being sucked in to buying a piece of crap that doesn't work. I'll look into this when I have the chance.

  • Anyone happen to know if Retrozone's Super Powerpak will play on this clone?

  • I love that opening for Yoshi's Island.

  • Would I need anything special like large transformers, to make it run on the UK electrical system or would a simple £2 travel plug be OK.

  • ....Do A Barrel Roll

  • @rctwik hold still and let me shoot you

  • compare it to a dsi xl

  • pretty sweet system, i dont have a snes though or even live in the us :/

  • cool watch

  • you fliiped me off so much like at 3:19 -3:22

  • @VenBBS yes it can play european snes games but u need to break off some little tabs to be able to play them

  • hey do u no any other portable snes i can buy so i can view different versions? Great review to.

  • You have the same DSi as me!

  • Is this only in europe?

  • I live in EU. and i have to questions.

    1. In EU we have other Power Points and this charger whats in the package will not fit so can i get an EU charger?

    2. Can this thing play European SNES games?

  • Ummm... Lemme think...(3 years later)Ummm...NAM-1975 for the AES????

  • intresting, i dont remember this system, wuz it left in japan??

  • i dont get why they dont use the sfx2 dev kit motherboard. its basically a very small snes motherboard in a dev kit. i think it was 3 in. by 3 in..

  • Looks nice, but really really big XD. Btw cool wrist watch.

  • I did tried a FC-16 when i went to the Midwest Gaming Classic. But i dunno if it was a version 1 or 2

  • did i get it right? It don´t work with Super Mario RPG??

  • dude you got a gay watch

  • Ultimate Arcade? I WANT ONE!!!!!!!

  • is it nam 1975 for neo geo aes? plz be right

  • problem with this portable snes is that it has a very small screen they need to make the screen bigger

  • Does it work with PAL games?

  • @Gamester81 I was wondering if you had any problems at all with the d-pad on the version 2. When i received mine i had to press extreamely hard to go in any direction other than left. I assumed i just got a dud and returned it. Did you have any sort of problem with yours or was it just mine?

    -Thanks

  • looks cool. i hope i win :-)

  • Impressive collection. How did you get that Characiture at the intro?

  • The system looks freekin' sweet. I use my eee for snes emulation, It's tempting to buy this but cartrages are hard to come buy (compared to roms)

  • I see a NEO GEO game but can't tell what it is....netbooks eh?

  • I B3 IZ WANTIN DAT SHIZ NIGGAZ

  • yay i in the contest

  • nice watch!!!

  • The Version one's Directional pad looks like a Playstation D pad.

  • @Edistinenuton it is

  • Stereo AV out is always a winner with me. Great vid Jon. Very informative. =)

  • Is that the super famicom box in the background at 7:06. if so it looks like it is opened. if it is than could you show us the inside?

  • its a great little portable my only complaint is that the cartrige sticks out a bit, I woulda liked it if it went in alot more than that

  • Your N64 DD is awesome, but where do you buy these rare systems and box systems?

ebay doesn't have crap and if they do.. it bids....

  • Nice watch man ;)

  • Is there such a thing as a Turbo Express clone?

  • @SpiffyBiscuits5 Im waiting for an Atari Jaguar clone ;)

  • Yoshis Island

  • my super mario rpg plays fine on this.

  • Is the weight of the unit similar to that of a DS, DSL, PSP, etc.?

  • Do images look worse on a HDTV in comparison to a SDTV?

  • damn, that's pretty slick, how long do the batteries last in the wireless controllers?

  • Does the reset switch work like a reset switch on version 2? or does it just switch the power on and off like the first one?

  • Woah, even 2 wireless controllers? I need to add this to my online shopping list.

Thanks for the review, you have sold me!:)

  • simpsons watch :)

  • I wanted to order this system (version 2), but they're [stoneage] were out of stock of the charcoal colored system-the one that I wanted. =( Nonetheless, GREAT review. =)

  • The screw at the back is needed usually products that don't have it sometimes need tape to hold it and the battery's in place because the cheap plastic can snap easily.

Anyway I'm thinking of getting one

  • LOL excellent advertisement! I bought my FC Mobile II from them :D

  • awersome video and don't forget may name becuase a well get all the consoles you have

  • i love mine. when we were done with the fcat i was playing it and it gave me no problem.

    AWESOME handheld

  • Hey John will the FC 16 play Super Famicom games or just SNES games??

  • No it only plays North American SNES games. =(

  • The original (model 1) can play both, you just have to remove the little piece of plastic that blocks super famicom cartridges.

I don't know if model 2 can, but there are several videos on youtube showing that the original can.

  • @Gamester81 Hey can it be modded like the version 1 can (there is a slot for some kind of region chip you can steal off a for e.g. pal game and solder to the v1 fc 16 go and also you could remove the plastic blocks to stop the physical incompatibility problem. I haven't got a v1 yet, and if you can mod the v2 to be all region ill get 1.

  • @Gamester81 U cld prob play SFC games if you file down certain parts of the shells on your carts

  • @Gamester81 Ive actually heard from Dasreviews that it can, but the slot restricts Famicom cartreges from being put in.

  • @Gamester81 seems like it would be capable, like with the SNES, just remove plastic tabs.

  • @Gamester81

Actually I think it can play Japanese Super Famicom or PAL SNES games if you remove the two tabs in the system so carts can be inserted into the slot. I'm not positive of this, though.

  • @Gamester81 Yea, we canadians have a exclusive console! :D!

  • @Gamester81 Do you guys know a way to possibly mod it to play Famicom games. :( I have loads of Famicom cartridges. Would be a waste, if I can't use 'em.

  • @Gamester81 wrong, stone age said it themselves. you can make it somewhat regionfree if you take out the tabs in the cartridge slot. im getting one soon :D and i read all the information on it. dead pixel = dissapointment :/

  • @stratamaster78

It will actually play Super Famicom games if you remove the two tabs from inside the cartridge slot ^_^

  • Its a tiger wrist watch game

  • or is that a Mario Bros watch you are wearing?

  • Nope it's a Simpsons watch. =)

  • Is your hidden game NAM-1975 for the AES?

  • @RoboArmyInMonsterlnd

Dude congrats, you're the only one so far that has named the mystery game. Kudos to you!

  • omg. i didnt know that these existed. this is awesome. i needa go get one.

  • WoW what a cool handheld console

  • kool sytem

  • yay for awsome systems and cool simpsons game and watch man im tinking about tracking a game and watch down

  • nice simpsons wristwatch

  • That system looks really cool, I'll have to get one of those one day, though I want to get an FC Mobile 2 first.

  • I almost bought the first one. Im glad I waited. The second version is more fine tuned..Thanx

  • Much better. I really wasn't impressed by the first version. I may pick this one up. I just wish they would make it less bulky!

  • Does it work with both snes and nes games?
