  • 1 minute in...CRRRAAAANNNKKK IT UP!

  • The most powerful song ever written...

  • I thank God for this song, after nearly 40 years Don's presentation and voice quality hasn't diminished (as it happens to many singers) but rather has remained consistent and improved! GBU Don

  • Dangit... Im a man and here I sit crying again over this song. Once last night and this morning again. wow... great song.

  • HALELUYEH HES ALIVE!!! PRAISE THE NAMEOFJESUS. HALLELUYAH HES ALIVE PRAISE THE NAME O JESUS. YEHUSUA, HES ALIVE, HE IS ALIVE and my son Jonathan is ALIVE with!!!!!!!! sine 1998... my son is ALIVE. He told me so. and Yes He IS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @amaiznme222 amen!

  • When my kids were tiny I told them of The Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. Of course by the time they were 6 or 7 they understood that these were simply lovely children's stories - not accounts of real events.

I'd be seriously concerned if they were in their twenties and still could not distinguish between a deep and important "wisdom parable" and a record of literal historic events on the material plane.

  • This is one of the most spectacular songs that has ever been made. I love it alot, makes me cry to know that Jesus is Alive. Makes me tear up from writting this.

  • I justed shed a tear or two . This Song just gave goosebumps and a Joy and Peace. Praise the Lord JESUS CHRIST IS ALIVE FROM THE DEAD! This is what I call true christian music!! With Biblical lyrics to the song not worldly lyrics.

  • GOD BLESS DON FRANCISCO...GLORY TO JESUS OUR ONLY REDEEMER!

  • I absolutely love this song, very powerful.

  • NO ONE can sing this song (still my all-time favorite Christian song) better than the guy who wrote it!

  • Awesome! Hallelujah!! Praise YHVH!!

  • When the choir rises to sing it's very respectful.

  • @Phuckyooo I know God is real. It's all faith :) this world wasn't just born from nothing. And no I wasn't just told that, I KNOW THAT. As a Minister, I read my Word and do a lot of studying

  • There is just something awesome about watching the person who actually wrote the song perform it, because the feelings he had while writing it come across in his voice in a way that doesn't happen with people who merely cover the song. Same goes for Mark Lowry and "Mary Did You Know?"

  • GOD IS SO REAL.....SOME PEOPLE JUST DONT KNOW WHAT THEIR MISSING :)

**BY THE END OF THIS WORLD EVERY ONE WILL KNOW THAT GOD IS REAL...(that's in the bible)

  • @BABYBOO378287 How do you know? Because thats what youre told? And youre scared of hell?

  • Hey Audiophile Tubes, do you think that there might be more than this carbon-based reality that we see, and understand with our carbon based brain? True "knowledge" comes when you realize how much you don't know, due to the sheer volume of how much there is. Don't worry, it's not to late to re-tube if your willing to.

  • This song gives me "god"-bumps :-)

  • "He raised me to my feet and as I looked into His eyes, love was shining out from Him like sunlight from the skies. My guilt and my confusion disappeared in sweet release, and every fear I'd ever had just melted into peace." Praise the holy name of Jesus and I thank Him that he has the love and grace to forgive anyone when they ask him. God bless you and your family and friends all your days - you are a good and faithful servant

  • Man i love his Nike`s ;-)

  • @MultiPuzzler Great song, but yeah... he's an old hippie and slightly under-dressed.

But as a preacher friend of mine once said, "Never be critical of a church that has people dancing in their pews, when we have people sleeping in ours!"

  • Jesus said to her, 'I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?' 'Yes, Lord,' she told him, 'I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.'" John 11:25-27

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6

Thank you dear Heavenly Father for breaking the curse of death!

  • you guys are awesome!!

  • I first heard this song back in the late 70's when my 'born again' brother played it loud, in between his Zeppelin, Floyd, and Rush albums! Even though I am an agnostic, and not into religion, I was immediately floored by the majesty and sweeping emotion of the song. To this day, it brings tears to my eyes, not because I am a Christian, but because I can relate to man's search for peace, happiness, meaning, etc. This song is EPIC!

  • @AudiophileTubes It brings tears to my eyes that you aren't saved, there is always hope. Don may have been seeking peace, happiness, meaning etc. May I ask you a question? What are you seeking or are you denying the one who is seeking you?

He's ALIVE sir He's ALIVE and i'm forgiven and I will be with HIM (JESUS) forever!!!!

  • You fanatics crack me up! Why should YOU cry for ME?! That is ridiculous, and frankly, just plain wierd. The word (and concept of) being 'saved' is meaningless to millions like myself. 'Saved' from what or whom? We don't need to be saved. What we need is to live in a world where human beings actually exercise intelligent though and logic, instead of believing in an ancient, outdated book that was written by mortal men. I don't believe Jesus was the son of some unproven 'god'.

  • @AudiophileTubes I have to say I agree with part of what you said, Audiophile. I don't believe Jesus was the son of an unproven God either. He is the Son of a God who HAS proven himself time and time again to be the one and only God who created you and me. He's the God who wrote in His word that in the last days, there would be many who would deny Him. There would be many who would exchange the truth for a lie. It breaks my heart that you are among those who would deny Him. I'll pray for you.

  • @AudiophileTubes I would love to debate some of the issues you raise, but if you are an atheist why do you care? If an agnostic why don't you find out.

Yes we (humanity) need to be saved I thank God that He saved me, I would hope that you would be saved to.

No one can prove to you that which you are unwilling to consider. Not only is Jesus the Son of the Almighty, Jesus Himself is the Creator of all things like you and me.

  • @AudiophileTubes that is where i have been. now that know Him it is so much more than i would ever want or kneed 706 273 9822 if you want to talk

  • goosebumps !!!!! thank GOD HE IS ALIVE !!!!!!!!

  • @oldjesusfreak1 AMEN!

  • Praise the LORD for this representative song of HIS RESURRECTION GLORY AND POWER!!!!!! Thank you, Don. Love your spirit and ministry of music, sharing the "good news of Christ Jesus the Lord of Glory!"

  • I love this beautiful song. It is so reassuring that Jesus is willing to forgive us and restore us to fellowship with The Father and Himself. Thank You Jesus for shedding Your Precious Blood so I and anyone who desires can be forgiven and SAVED forever with You in HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!

  • im not a christian but respects to this song, it is EPIC.

  • One of the few Christian musicians whom I have had respect for all of these years. Don, I believe, is a true Christian, and songs like this, surely move me deeply.

  • This is the best video i have ever seen of this song- he is my all time favorite- just such an incredible gift from God.

  • "He's Alive" my sins are forgiven! Within my heart He dwells assuring me of eternal life and a home in heaven. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

  • This. Is. Awesome. :D

  • God is awesome!

  • Would it not be fantastic it Don Francisco the writer of the song and Dolly got together to sing it . H does the start off and she ends.

  • Couldn't stand this song when I was a kid. My mother played it much, but her hyporcrisy canceled out the real meaning of it. When I came to my own faith in Jesus Christ, I embraced it all the way. He's alive and He changed my viewpoint.

  • No one can sing this like you Don. Thank You

  • touched and moved deeply by this amazing song

  • Ohhhh wonderful!

  • Allmjns: Haha! Long hair? What a funny, strange assessment to make. So, if his hair is "long"er than you think it should be then that's what makes it "long"? What then makes it "short"? When you say it is? Is short or long then, from your viewpoint? Long hair on a man dishonors his head if his head is filled with rebellion, in which case another soul cannot make that judgment. There are many women in the choir with, what I'd call, "short" hair.

  • He's alive! I will never tire of hearing those words! Thank God my Lord is ALIVE!

  • @hamsterpoop -I feel sorry for you that your life is so shallow that the only fun you have is putting comments like this on the internet. If you had any kind of a life you wouldn't need to be doing this to get your jollies. It is so sad, I really feel bad for you.

  • You know what - I do not like men with long hair as the bible does say it dishonours your head, but the real issue is that Don's music is annointed, refreshing, challenging and inspired. If you do not like the long hair - just close your eyes and worship the Lord. God bless you Don. You have a fantastic ministry and your music has been a real blessing to me!

  • Must have been awesome to be in that room when that choir joined in!

  • This song is absolutely amazing you can "get happy in your own little way" every time you listen to it!

  • This is God's truth.

  • Really listen to this artist's testimony. And oh the anointed song. This brings me to tears, praising, crying, healing, and realized just how love God has for us. His grace and mercy I do not deserve. But He loves me unconditionally. I was honored to have met Don Fransisco back in 1985 while I was in Tulsa ,OK.

The anointing of Holy Spirit in that place phenomenal .WE HAD CHURCH that night!

  • Best Easter song ever! Thanks so much for writing it!!

  • Don Francisco is such an amazing songwriter. Thanks Don for sharing your God-given talent with all of us. I cry nearly every time I hear this one. Thank God, Jesus is ALIVE!

  • The best song ever.

  • does anyone recall this song being sung by the quartet group Watchmen? My brother reminded me of it and it was so powerful it gave you chills. Please let me know and ask your older family members PLEASE!!!

  • @earthygreen

I remember the Watchmen. They were from the Indiana, PA area, near where I grew up. I actually was searching for their rendition of this song when I found this.

  • @houseofwink

Really? I didn't know that! I live in Armstrong County!

  • Thank-you Don and thank-you Lord for leaving the gates open for us. We will all dine with the bridegroom on day.

  • Boy does this bring me back to my college days! I saw Don Francisco in a free concert in the park either 1977 or 78. A local non-denominational church sponsored something every week. I remember movies and 2 concerts: Don Francisco was one and Terry Talbot was the other. Like I said.....takes me back to good memories.

  • His is alive indeed and thank God I'm forgiven.

  • @abcya12 you have to repent first though.

  • I grew up on this song!

  • This is such an uplifting and glorious song!

    Praised be the Risen One!

  • I love singing this song!

  • The anointing on this song is tremendous..

  • When the Lord replied to Peter in John13:38 part two of his statement in chapter 14:1-3 is often missed because of the chapter break.

  • He's alive! He's Alive!

    5 Stars plus eternity.

  • What a CLASSIC! Awesome!

  • This song is absolutely amazing. I can relate to Peter so much, and to know that Jesus is not only the forgiving Savior, but he is indeed ALIVE!! Praise God

  • I relate to this song, so much, that I am practicing it on my guitar, and it still breaks me into tears, when I consider how much my Lord has forgiven me.

  • Jesus Christ is The Only Way To God Because He Is God....Please be Washed from Your sin....Be Rapture ready...Mathew 25 ...Please open your heart to God....Jesus Is God.....many wrote that God would come to Earth...Lovehad Lovehad

  • I know wendy sang with another lady way back when. what was the other girls name? I can't remember

  • Her name is Mary Rice Hopkins - they were an awesome duo! Check out their CDs "Wendy and Mary Collection", "The Wind Came Singing", "Out of the Fullness", "Battle of the Heart" etc. What a talented duo! I've been listening to them since the 80s... they are great.

  • this is a wonderful wonderful song, I just have to cry every time I hear it. I just live it with the song, and at the end when the crescendo of music is building up for the lines, He's alive, he's alive, it just makes cold chills go all over me...love it !

  • As a teen this song taught me how Jesus really loved me.Many of Don's songs brought Bible stories alive for me.I used to play his albums over &over. Now at 50,I still get excited about Jesus in this song.

'pastrychef'-I don't know the ans. but I do know that these that ministry to us with their gifts are just like us,only going to Heaven bec they've accepted Jesus' payment for their sins &many times needing forgiveness. We should pray for them &be thankfl our lives aren't on 'a big screen'.

  • "Every fear I ever had just melted into peace."

    Powerful.

  • I love how Don is dressed in jeans playing how he feels comfortable even though all around him are others in suits.

  • i was thinking the same thing...this song is powerful at the end, and the lyrics just amazing

  • This is more than a song, it is Truth. I appreciate such talented men and women spreading the gospel of forgiveness and life through song . God bless them for giving us pause to stop and know He's Alive! and we're forgiven.. heaven's gate are open wide!

  • I'm sorry for the thumbs down! I thought I was clicking on the comment below yours. I tried to correct it but apparently the cliche "you can't unring a bell" is true. Please forgive me--You were absolutely right in your post. Blessings to you.

  • blessings to you, too. i don't like injustices, and the comment below mine is so offensive in so many ways.

  • Catholicism all the way? What are you even talking about?

  • One can only come to God when they are drawn by Him. It seems as yet you haven't been drawn to encounter He Who is alive, otherwise you comments would be more accurate. What the Francisco's are singing about it a historical proof that defies being owned by any denomination, and is something that countless millions have encountered. Just ask for a face to Face encounter with Him from your heart and you will meet Him. Bless you.

  • I would assume your comment was directed towards rvz77?

  • Yes sir.

  • What happened to Terry Talbot and his marriage to wendy? She got married to Don Francisco.....was Terry unfaithful?

  • The first song I heard after I gave my life to Christ so many years ago was, Rise Again. It just hit me like a ton of bricks! Then the next one was this one by Don. It still gives me goosebumps and makes me cry! Thank you so much for your wonderful ministry of song! God Bless You!

I miss those beautiful, powerful, WONDERFUL songs from back then that pierced to the very core of our being, being played today!! I am so glad to have found this & we still have your record album w/this song from then!

  • Love this song - whether it's Don, Dolly, or David Phelps singing

  • Dolly Parton does a great cover of this wonderful song. Also worth a listen - not sure if it's on youtube.

  • This brings back those great memories of working with Don at the release of this

powerful song.......it was a real blessing to accept the Dove Award for Song of Year on Don's behalf and share my experiences at Estes Park and PraiseGathering. It is still one of the greatest songs of all time. Thanks, Don.

    Randy Cox

  • I heard this song before. Very nice and true.

  • Amen!

  • I saw Don perform this at Fishnet '76, somewhere in NC. It was and still is the most moving song I've ever heard. Bravo Don. Well done. You are a true and faithful servant.

  • the best song i ever heard

  • He's Alive and we are forgiven!

  • I hope everyone gets the chance to hear this song and be moved by it as I was. Don F has a gift for ministry! Thanks for posting this on your list. Jesus saved me!

  • Everytime I listen to that song I am so refreshed and full of Joy, for we have a wonderful Lord, the Lord of Lords who has risen and IS ALIVE...Halleluja

  • Thanks for sharing this. Beautiful! God bless!

  • WONDERFUL!

    Thanks so much for sharing.

    He is risen....

    HE IS RISEN INDEED!

I serve a RISEN Savior. Bless the LORD!

  • Hi Jo! Enjoy the song in Chicagoland.

  • that song has affected me since i was a little boy. It is my favorite song of all time by far. i hope one day to hear it live. my second favorite is to small a price ,awesome.

  • My two favorites as well. I have both as well. "Too small a price" in the extended form...and showing the redemtion, still brings chills.

  • AWESOME! Thank you JESUS...and thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful

  • That is a HUGE choir.

  • I was an interpreter for the deaf when this came out. He came here to play and I was one of the interpreters for the concert. Amazing time....

  • I have Dons double live concert album from the eighties on compact disc, excellent from start to finish. Also have "Got To Tell Somebody"on LP, have looked for it on cd but have never been able to find it.

  • this is simply wonderful

  • this song has had such an impact on my life.. thank you, thank you for posting it..

  • In fact, the first concert ran over because everyone was into singing gospel songs. I was with him when his bass player/manager came over and said that the auditorium manager was concert about running close to 90 minutes late. Don just told him to get the checkbook and write a check for the additional rental time, he just could not stop the audience when they were praising God in song, so he would pay the diffrence.

  • I spoke with Don Francisco back in the early 80's after a concert he did in Columbus, Ohio. A more humble, unassuming man would be hard to find. He even was trying to figure out how to hook up my own reel-to-reel recorder to his sound system so we could record his testimonies during the concerts so we could share them with our prison ministry. Such men are rare!

  • I get chills

  • Love this song too! Thanks!!! Psaise God!

  • it is easy to get caught up in emotion when listening to powerful music. be careful what you follow. Jim Jones had a great following, too.

  • BullneseBobby,

... but sometimes, what's emotional, is also true. Good point: we shouldn't trust emtoion. We should discover what is true. The evidence speaks the truth.

  • Strange, I did not post this reply, Never even watched this video.

  • At one time, I was involved with a youth group choir.

You cannot believe the chills this song can bring.... until you have heard a group of 14 - 16 year olds sing it from their heart.

    I have been blessed.

  • Thank you so much! Praise the Lord. He's Alive!!!!

  • This is one of the first songs I remember from my childhood. One of the first concerts I went to as a child was Don Francisco.

  • "HE'S ALIVE AND I'M FORGIVEN HEAVEN'S GATES ARE OPEN WIDE!"

Hallelujah to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ Who shed His blood to pay for my sin!

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing!!!!

  • Powerful song. Thanks for sharing!
