  • There are 2-3 different types of tabla /darbuk, dumbeck etc.

The indians have one they usually call tabla.

The egyptians type( which he is using) is of plastic with e chermaric shell. Also you can hear it in the sound and see that he balancing it on his lap lol.

The turkish is one of the big favorites but not fun doing the click click sound as it has more of a darker bass.

The third is a mix of these sorta lol, this alt. uses lamb/goat skin instead if plastic. Aliminum or cermic shell.

  • But, is Darbuka and doumbek the same?? or can doumbek have the same sound as a darbuka too???

Tell me, i want to buy one :))

  • You needa skill up man i suggest u to see the videos of "misirli ahmet"

  • is amazing the turkish percussion!!!

  • This is Turkish Darbuka

  • its not turkish its arabic

the arabs brought it to turkey

  • turks were in the arab lands before arabs discover turkish lands

  • but it was the arabs who discovered the 'arabic' drum.

it is arabic, turks were influenced by the arabs

  • the instrument is egyptian

  • no it wasnt from egypt. no one knows. just arabia

  • my mistake yeah this type like material is egyptian.

but egyptians didnt discover the instrument if you get me

  • Lovess itt,, keep it uppp (Y)

  • The boy got skillz...

  • its a lebanese drum from lebanon

  • what kind of doumbek is this? what are the body and head made of. please please please tell me i want to get one but i dont know which kind to buy.

  • I am sure the drum is from Egypt and has a synthetic skin. The drum is made from Aluminum and is cast! Can but them in most Arab Markets in the States! other names are Duribecki or Tabla!
