Yes I agree. Witcher 1 has a best a example how was a life in middle ages (of course with fantasy:). People were rough and intolerant. Atmosfere in game and sound is really a masterpiece. Cheers :)

Hey I'm trying to play the witcher, but for some reason I can't hear any music. I can hear voices and sfx fine, but cant hear the music anywhere in the game. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

This song, as well as all other songs in the game, can be found in the following drawer: driveletter/The Witcher/Data/Music

The files use the ogg format which can be played with VLC or foobar2000. The latter can also convert them to MP3.

I'm a fan of Gothic series myself, but I decided to give it a try. Oh man, The Witcher has by far and wide the best story out there I've seen lately in any RPG, and I've been in this "brand" for more than 10 years.

Fantastic storyline, epic soundtrack and... you name it!

@kojocel Gothic is good, but i wouldnt count it as an RPG cause there are so many RPG factors missing. Yes, The Witcher has the best story in RPGs, but i would count the best RPGs either Baldurs Gate 1 or 2. Dragon Age: Origins is also epic(and yes, this comes from a guy who has played different RPG games from early 90s to 2011 :P).

However if I had to rank PC RPGs in bands, it's be like this: BAND 0 - Ultima IV (it INVENTED the PC RPG) BAND 1 - Torment Baldur's Gate II Ultima VII - The Black Gate & Serpent Isle Fallout BAND 2 - Morrowind The Witcher Baldur's Gate Icewind Dale I & II Fallout 2 BAND 3 - Daggerfall (loses points for being so full of bugs) Mass Effect Oblivion (based on my limited playing of it) Lands of Lore Lower's better.

Find a site that records youtube to audio. There's lots of them.

All the tracks are included with the game, in a "music" folder. They're great quality ogg vorbis files, plays with any player released after 1998.

@elojeloj exactly, EVERY one of the music clips used in the game are in the music folder :) I was looking for the dice poker music and its also there.
