@0AUDIOMASTER0 Nope, this is from an earlier version which has a cast iron block and an L shaped Carburator(cant remember its name). the engine in your mower has an alloy engine which is either a 98cc or a 114cc. the earlier ones had the same carburator as the old cast iron engines while the newer versions of the alloy engine had a Delorto Italian Caburator. They are less durable due to not having bushes in the crank making the flywheel eventually knowck againist the coil=ignition gone Thanks:)
hay man i am thinking about doing some thing similar but it is a big quad and its not chain drive so i am not sure how to set an engine up and i am thinking of useing a briggs and stratton engine so if u now any thing any advice would be great cheers
@edward123616 If the engine is a vertical (mowers) it is imposible cos of the way the shaft is positioned, the only thing you can do is use a gearbox from a ride on tractor to transfer the vertical motion from the engine to the box via a belt then from the gear box to the rear axe via chain. if the engine is horizontal you can either use a chain or a belt. chain is way better cos it doesnt slip if wet plus you will need a big gear ratio for a quad due to it being heavy. *keeps going down below*
@06mourag the reduction that I have on my quad is too long and the clutch takes forever to engage and it burned the clutch pads really quick. the best way is to use a centifucal clutch and a chain cos all the other ways are hard to archive reliablility due to alll the moving parts and gear rations but its possible. get your self an old briggs horizontal (2,5hp horinzontals are the best ones cos they are small and when modified can pump out more than 5hp) Happy New Year :) and hope that helps
