The biggest mistake that the Bush administration made is to let the democrats like Barney Frank have anything to do with Freddie and Fanny. They stood and watched, if not contributed to the demise of the banking industry with sub prime loans. The Bush administration warned at least 3 times that they needed more oversight and Blowhard Frank wanted to "roll the dice a little more" and stated that these institutions were not in financial danger.
