  • I really miss when wrestling was this awesome, WWE is a complete joke right now.

  • This is why AUSTIN > ROCK AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE!

  • man i loved austin with the goatee, chain on his neck, the one earring and leather vest lol. he just looked so much more intense and intimidating during 96-98. after that he became more comedy driven while still whipping ass, but at this time he was straight badass mother fucker

  • LOL, what a weird meeting. Ultra PG WWE Todd Pettingill and Sunny meeting Super Intense Stone Cold, who seemed even more dangerous then Kick-Ass Stevewesier Stone Cold. Great job posting this

  • 6:50 - 7:14 HAHAHAHHAHA

  • the first caller boy!!! was she so wrong!!!

  • I don't think you can fake this type of anger. Listen to the tone in his voice, I believe steve was really pissed off about alot of things. When they gave him the chance to get in front of the tv and on mic it just blew up and turned into million bucks ;)

  • This video is so hilarious. I think now that stone cold has made it in the wwe, he's calmed down a lot. the anger cam from rejection and being overlooked.

  • HE IS THE MOST ELECTRIFYN MAN IN SPORTS ENTERTAINEMENT .

  • that blondie is fucking wet.

  • austin ate, drank, breathed, and sweat that character. there will never be anyone else like him

  • 7:24..it looks like bret harts in the background listening to everything lol

  • SATURDAY MORNING TV HA HA HA HA H AHA

  • I LOVE THIS HTML5 :p

  • Eva - Massachusetts... How that backfired on you, you mosquito!

  • 260 Ibs of cholesterol stuffed in a bargain basement suit!! LOL!

  • Punk CAN be the next Austin if and when they change their product

  • He showed up with a jockstrap on his face.

    LMAO

  • FAX1

  • EMAIL THEM WWF LiveWire@AOL.COM AND PHONE THEM TO 1-888-LIVE WWF

  • WWF LiveWire@AOL.COM :)

  • I LOVE THIS :) WHAT EVER HAPPTIN TO LiveWire WE NEED THAT SHOW BACK :p

  • "Mr. perfect is 260 pounds of cholesteral" LOL damn!!

  • aww steve let go of bret" so I beat Stu's ass!

    Classic

  • lol @ austin telling the caller that he'd hinder their life.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you see his hand gestures when he said "You're alll a bunch of Mosquitoes"?... BRILLIANT!!!!!

  • They should bring back this show for the WWE Network. Read live tweets from fans to Superstars, etc--just as long as it's not on Saturday mornings.

  • I bet itd be so easy to get them a email and get ur question answered with our computers now days.

  • Shaddup!

  • so great for like 10 am on a Saturday to hear Austin going off

  • Live Wire was a great show, be nice if they brought it back as an interview/shoot show.

  • @mozekial actually, they would just mess it up like they did with everything else they brought back. Examples, Superstars, and I think at one point they tried to repackage Shotgun Saturday Night but it just wasn't the same.

  • Todd Pettengil was shook as hell that time lol

  • STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS VERBALLY WHIPPING TODD PETTINGIL AND SUNNY LIKE A DOBERMAN MULE!!

STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!!

  • ahahaha jabroni, Rock?

  • Why is everyone talking about Austin vs Punk? Punk's not worthy to be Austin's final opponent.

  • bad ass!

  • wow austin said gibroni!!!!

  • The way he owned that girl & said "I may hinder your life"... He was amazing

  • Austin beat Savio Vega like a scalded dog with a case of the liver tails.

  • Awesome! I never knew Mr. Perfect had a confrontation with Austin.

  • No one brings this kind of intensity anymore. NO ONE.

  • God that dumb woman was wrong on so many levels....then again, hindsight is 20/20.

  • Comment removed

  • "shawn micheals....shut up!"

  • Damn Austin owns EVERYONE! I would love a Austin/Punk back and forth promo

  • @King2123 Punk would get owned.

  • @dubq now hold up now, lets think about this. Austin is untouchable when it comes to the mic we know that, but just think of the comebacks Punk would have and little puns. It would be great.

  • @King2123 Part of why I say this, is because Punk is only as good as his competition is bad. He can easily own any of the chumps who are terrible at promos in current-day WWE. If Austin were to go head-to-head with him, I don't think Punk would be able to keep up, unless it was heavily scripted beforehand. I think this is one of the reasons Punk has never been involved in any of the Rock stuff (other than saying "Dwayne" a lot when the Rock isn't around).

  • @dubq yeah only because they have the experience years on Punk. I always wondered that if the reason this whole Rock/Cena feud is based just off of Cena trash talking Rock, why doesnt Rock say thing to Punk you know? He gets angry when Cena runs his mouth about him and wants to fight at Mania but Punk rants about him dirty and yet Rock hasnt said anything. Hmmm.

  • @dubq ...nobody has or will ever be able to hang w/ SCSA in any aspect, history will prove this. Punk is among the first wave of guys in WWE who grew up watching Austin as his influence becomes widespread. While Punk isn't SCSA he is clearly the next best thing in this post-Attitude era...and I'll take it...

  • This is classic stuff. Who can cut promos like this anymore besides CM Punk?

  • Oh Eva. Hinder his progress? Nope. It just made him the biggest WWE superstar since Hogan.

  • wow how does he come up with those witty and clever sayings or euphemism off the top of his head...he's awesome

  • check out sunny!!!

  • "I might hinder your LIFE."

    lmfao

  • Yeah I remember, "Livewire" I wonder what happened to that show.

  • this is one of the best videos to show how untouchable austin was on the mic back then, as believable and exciting as a wwe character can get.

  • did austin really just call the guy a jabranoi

  • I remember always liking Steve Austing but at this point it was hard for me to take him serious as Stone Cold since I was so used to seeing him as "Stunning". I remember this appearence being one of the turning points. He was amazing here and after his match with Bret at WM 13 he was my favorite wrestler and "Stunning" was a distant memory. Havent seen this since it's original airing, thanks for the post

  • long mustached austin ruled

  • Justin Credible got his ass whooped!

  • I miss wwe livewire. there was some kayfabe sit going on that show

  • @theinfamousmrsleep Like for example, the callers lol nah but I miss it too. Live wire was cool on Saturday mornings.

  • Hennig vs. Austin would've been awesome

  • @southwardwill That happened in 2002. They also brawled a little in the Royal Rumble that year too. You could find both fights on here somewhere.

  • @craigawesome1 You're right I completely forget. That was the match the NWO hit Austin with a sinterblock. Too bad though. In 1993 it would've been awesome

  • @southwardwill I agree 100%. If WCW didn't snap Hennig up, we might have seen it.

  • I love when Austin just makes up a story on the spot about going to calgary. It's clearly a lie and that's why its great.

  • this the funniest thing i ever seen lol

  • Stone Cold and Mr. Perfect

    6:50 to 7:15

    Perfect Alternation xDD

  • 1:48 Worst Stunner reaction ever!

  • @MrDarkstalkers15 Attitude Era started at the 1996 King of the Ring. That's when the company started broadcasting mature content to attract more mature viewers. They didn't officially call it the Attitude Era until Wrestlemania XIV but everyone knows that it started long before them.

  • This whole segment is incredible. Good God was Steve Austin amazing in 1996 & 1997.

  • stone cold said jabroni?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @djphlange He's beens saying jarbroni since the ECW days.

  • 9:26 "I don't need friends i don't need family" haha right on STEVE AUSTIN!

  • Pure fucking badassness!

  • You ain't gotta build Stone Cold brother

  • I've always been a Steve Austin fan and I'm not talking just Stone Cold I liked him when he was Stunning Steve Austin when he carried the WCW Televisioin Title, Hollywood Blonde Steve Austin hell even the Ringmaster wasn't as bad because HE was the ringmaster

  • i know he can be very anoying at times but i honestly felt todd pentigal was really good at what he dose hes enthuastic he,s makes it sound so exciting and in this case he makes it sound real what,s so anoying about him anyway

  • The year is 1996. Kids! This is not yet the Attitude Era! Just because you saw Stone Cold doesn't mean it's the Attitude Era. At this time Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels are carrying the WWF on their back while WCW is beating them in the ratings. Steve Austin came to the WWF in 1996 and here he is just starting to develop his Stone Cold character. Attitude Era started in 1998 and ended in 2001.

  • I was a year old when this happened

honored to hav lived thro these GOLDEN DAYS

  • Austin and Rock = the two best talkers EVER. Both had each their style, but what they had in common was that they BOTH were the top TRASH TALKERS ever, they just did in their own individual ways, but what came out of their mouths was FIRST CLASS TRASH TALK which no one could, can or ever will be able to compete with!

  • " naw naw naw naw your not waitin till later in the program to get my ass on TV" lol

  • sunny is so hot here ... pretty blonde

  • This is fucking hilarious.

  • Justin Credible had an ASS AWFUL gimmick as that Aldo Montoya.

  • Stone Cold is bloody legendary!

  • "I think if you keep talking to me like that, and if you were in person here I might hinder your life" LMFAO!

I jumped on the bandwagon! I'm a mosquito! LOL!

This is fucking AWESOME! I never saw this before. Thanks for the upload bro

  • Sunny was SO HOT!

Stone Cold was the fucking man! From 1996-1999 there was nobody better.

I loved Stone Cold's promos in 1996-1997. He was so rough and in your face. There was no comedic bullshit. He was all about whooping asses

  • HAHA !!! LOL SHAWN MICHAEL YOU GO OUT THERE WITH YOUR LIL GLISY GLAMMERY SHINY OUTFIT !!!! HAHAHAHA AWWWW MAN !!!!

  • This was the Stone Cold that I like. He was not afraid of anyone.

  • "He showed up with a jock strap on his face."

    LOL

  • Vintage Stone Cold Steve Austin.

  • the guy in the mask was aldo Montoya who later became Justin Incredible

  • eva from massachusetts was just a little wrong lol

  • I love heel Austin in his early WWF days turning him face sucked he was one the best bad guys ever.

  • Does anyone out there have the Salvatore Sincere/Savio Vega match that has the bit where Austin did guest commentary and got into a verbal altercation with Mr. Perfect?

  • Now this is what you call a pissed off son of a bitch. Randy Orton and all those other wannabe tough guys they just don't compare....

  • i love it every time he says LOOK AT ME or SHUT UP XD

  • goddamn sunny was smokin hot back then

  • @SMDB82 Yep, now she's just an old hag

  • @YoungGrizzly82 actually i thought she was lookin damn good at the hall of fame ceremony. especially for her age.

  • lol austin saying jabroni ???before rocky mavia??:P love it love it love it love it LARVE IT!!

  • @jogga16 !!! YES HE DID !!!

  • Does anyone have the video of Shawn Michaels on Livewire ?

  • austin was funny as hell, smh @ those fans, i bet they feel shitty now that hes in the hall of fame

  • Muskeetahs.

  • @LarryDildo666 yeah but rock revolutionized the word JABRONI,even if Austin used it first then The Rock still have many catch phrases and more than austin

  • 4:28: "I think if you keep talking to me like that and if your in person here I might hinder your life!!!"

  • LMAO at Austin's recap of him vs Bret in Canada! Austin was on fire! Doesn't get enough credit as being one of the top talkers. I think he's better than Rock!

  • The cRock has lifted most of the material he's famous for. Austin is the best in and out of the ring, period. His promos are some the best stuff ever made...

  • lol. I think that guy in the yellow mask was X-pac.

I think it was when he was the 1-2-3 Kid.

    I don't remember, though.

But damn, Austin is awsome. lol.

  • @9182846236 The guy in the yellow mask was Justin Credible. X-pac is not as tall as Austin...

  • @spiro356 Hence the chant "wheres your jock strap" when he came back during the invasion angle

  • @spiro356 You do know Sean Waltman is taller than Peter Polaco right? They do look a like though :P

  • @9182846236 you are way off!!!!

  • @9182846236 It was Justin Credible when he was called Aldo Montoya

  • @destructoboy995

    haha, thanx.

I wasn't sure if that guy was x-pac.

It resembled him, i totally forgot about Justin Credible.

  • it was Aldo Montoya guy later known as Justin credible .

  • @9182846236 No, it was Justin Credible from ECW

  • @derwinjr u from okmulgee

  • @9182846236 that's Aldo Montoya

  • This was on my 18th birthday. Hard to believe its been nearly 15 years!!

  • Damn he runs his mouth! lol

  • WWF OHHHHHHH GOOD TIMES WHAT EVER HAPPTIN TO LiveWire OHHH OK I THINK BECAUSE OF THE WCW AND WWF THING

  • "You ain't gotta build Stone Cold, brother."

  • SHUT UP LOL

  • WHAT IS WITH THE SWEARING LOL

  • LOL

  • "I think if u keep talking to me like that & u were here in person, I might hinder your life!"

"Curt Henning is 260lbs of cholesterol in a bargain basement suit!"

LMAO, this is the TRUE AUSTIN!!

  • Stone Cold punked Todd Pettengill, Sunny and the callers all through this segment LMFAO!. Get em, Stone Cold LOL

  • lol jock strap on his face

  • sunny had a big ass nose...

  • @flipgood89 but she is cute

  • @gothsoul82 fa sho...id beat. she just overrated, tho.

  • @flipgood89 yea true fa sho... but she does have a sexy fat ass

  • @gothsoul82 U right. Her body used to be on point. HBK used to jam that shit up, back in the day. I remember she used to referee wearing them tight ass booty shorts! Now that hoe looks like Greg the Hammer Valentine, n shyt. Ha!

  • @flipgood89 yea she does doen't she lol

  • hell yeah he did say jabroni first lol awesome!!!

  • @rockstardeleon lol--i know right--it's so ironic isn't it? he actually said it in his brief stint in ecw also--he interrupted the match that featured the sandman and mikey whipreck back in 1995---lol--austin was so innovative--the best ever if yo ask me--but, who's asking me anyway right?lol--

  • Austin was the first to say jabroni, sorry rocky

  • @LarryDildo666 Actually the guy, who said jabroni first was "The Iron" Sheik:-)

  • @LarryDildo666 iron sheik said jabroni before either of them....

  • @LarryDildo666 Actully it was said long before those two did

  • @LarryDildo666 The Rock borrowed all his lines from Stone Cold. Case in point at 7:25.

  • @LarryDildo666 sorry get the facts right non of them was first

  • @LarryDildo666 Actually Iron Sheik was.

  • @LarryDildo666 Razor Ramon said it before Austin.

  • @gazz12345a and Iron Sheik said it before Razor.

  • @LarryDildo666 sorry to you, it was the iron sheik

  • @LarryDildo666 actually iron shiek used jabroni in his promos

  • thats how stone cold gets inside peoples minds son, he insults u then makes u feel like a piece of crap then whips your ass from post to post son!!

  • All that trash talking and it's done with ease. Wow...

  • @EgyMax1987 you damn right-lol--

  • Were the callers scripted and planned? lol

  • @Jeff051176 they actually weren't--many people at that time thought they were--but they were real calls---nothing faked--lol

  • awww steve, let go of bret--then i whooped his ass too---i remember watching this and then i said it to my sister and my mom overhead me, and she whooped my ass-lol--i''ll never forget it-lol-good times--

  • After the first week, the calls became screened

  • @AceDagger1 I don't know if it was the first week been years but I remember someone called up and talked to Farooq and the caller started ripping on him saying ''Who do you think your fooling with that outfit. Everone knows your Ron Simmons'' Which I thought was awesome. WWF in the early days made him a goof ball when he was already and established star in the WCW.

  • @Slacker4LiFe247 If I remember right the first show also featured fans calling up and asking Vince Russo (who was playing his Vic Venom character from WWF Magazine at the time on this show) about the Ultimate Warrior, who had already left the WWF on bad terms. Petengill and Sunny didn't know what to say, but Russo interrupted them and basically shot, saying Warrior does what he wants to do. There were also questions about WCW and other guys who had left and why certain guys jumped to WCW (cont)

  • @Slacker4LiFe247 Basically alot of shoot insider questions at a time when it was still kayfabe pretty much (but starting to fade away slowly). I always wondered what the WWF was thinking when they did unscreened calls that first week, as if they thought no one would ask the real questions fans really wanted to know the answers to

  • austin had way better promos when he was Hungry for some gold.

  • lol this is classic. "you callin me a liar boy"

  • wow I use to watch Livewire when i was little i miss those days :(
