According to Ephesians 1:7 as in other parts of holy scripture, grace is a needed component to our salvation. To reject grace, is to reject salvation. Early protestant reformers had a devotion and respect to Mary. They saw her as a model whose humble faith Christians could imitate. And today, Anglicans, Episcopalians, (many) Lutherns, Orthodox churches, and others incorporate Marian devotion in their faith because of the role she played in Holy Scripture. Grace is God's pure love. It is a "help from God" (a basic definition). God manifest His grace in many ways; such as our prayers. But that, all grace comes from God. A devotion to Mary is not a religion. Devotion and worshipping are two different things. I am glad you agree w/ Catholic Church on grace.

Though some may over-emphasize Mary's role in God's plan for the Church age, she has obviously been a wonderful source of inspiration for many Christians. Who really knows how God is using or has used Mary in His divine economy? We will all know one day.

In a sense, shove Jesus aside saying, "I'm coming in!" Only through Jesus can we enter heaven because He "is the way". So we need Divine help. We rely on God. His love is pure grace. I have been there and to hear all the different groups of people praying the rosary in their native tongues as they walk up and down the mountain is very awe inspiring and humbling at the same time! What a wonderful place of peace. We stayed with Ivan, one of the visionaries and he was great. What a wonderful time we had. Mir, Mir, Mir!

I went to medugorje a month ago. I´m 17, and I'm completely sure aparitions are true. I felt there things that can not be explained with words. I could be in the aparition the 2nd of october. Although I couldnt see anything, I felt how the Virgin touched my heart. My mum and a lot of people who went with us to Medugorje have changed their lives, as I have done with mine. God is in Medugorje, in an amazing way.
I only can say: go there and you'll understad. The Virgin is waiting to YOU!

Look at Bayside and Christina Gallagher etc. They described the "incredible peace" and sense of "belonging" and "good fruits" and "conversions" etc. If you think this makes an "apparition" real, then you need to read more about discernment, and deception etc.

Medjugorje is false, just like Bayside etc. Many have been converted at other false apparitions, such as Christina Gallagher etc. There are far too many negative aspects, lies and contradictions to make it even possible that the Mother of God is appearing there.
I know that it's true....another example is sometimes when I pray so much about 4 rosaries a day I start to feel a tiny bit of that amazing peace and happiness I felt in Medjugorje...I know God is there

What we saw and experienced is the work of God. The visionaries were 10-16 years of age when they first had the apparitions. I studied psychology, and the mannerisms of people, and I could see in those children the truth of what they professed.They spent time in church by faith.
The kids went out to smoke. They lied about this to their parents and said they had gone out to tend sheep. After they made their claim, one of them was sworn by the priest to tell the absolute truth about the entire business, and the first question was, why did you kids go out? Not trying to pick a fight, just discussing. All I wanted to say was that the very nature of what is happening, if paranormal or miraculous, is beyond any scientific method. But I understand your point that the tests are at least confirmation of lack of mental illness etc.

Early protestant reformers had a devotion and respect to Mary. They saw her as a model whose humble faith Christians could imitate. And today, Anglicans, Episcopalians, (many) Lutherns, Orthodox churches, and others incorporate Marian devotion in their faith because of the role she played in Holy Scripture. Grace is God's pure love. It is a "help from God" (a basic definition). God manifest His grace in many ways; such as our prayers. But that, all grace comes from God. A devotion to Mary is not a religion. Devotion and worshipping are two different things. I am glad you agree w/ Catholic Church on grace.

She is told by the angel that she is 'favoured by god', or has 'found favour in god's eyes'. So? David was favoured in god's eyes. At one time Saul was favoured in God's eyes. The Bible says all Christians are favored. It is not a case of disrespecting mary, but of being historically and Biblically correct. @kiwichristian2009 Where I am coming from, is that grace is "help from God". It's a gift. We cannot enter heaven but through our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot enter heaven "on our own accord". In a sense, shove Jesus aside saying, "I'm coming in!" Only through Jesus can we enter heaven because He "is the way". So we need Divine help. We rely on God. His love is pure grace. The closer we become to God in holiness, the greater grace we have. Why? Because we cannot become holy "on our own". (cont.)

Catholics honor Luke 1:48 "from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." So we do. All I am saying, she was filled with grace. @iloveleonixx Compare the "full of grace" in Lk 1:28 (Mary) with the "full of grace" in Jn 1:14 (Jesus). John used the same Greek that Luke did. Jesus is sinless because He is God; Mary was given that singular privilege as a creature because of the merits of Christ.

@iloveleonixx I've searched through many different translations of the mainstream bible for 'full of grace', and nowhere is Mary called that. She is told by the angel that she is 'favoured by god', or has 'found favour in god's eyes'. So? David was favoured in god's eyes. At one time Saul was favoured in God's eyes. Samuel was favoured in God's eyes. We are favoured in God's eyes.

@iloveleonixx Only a fool would believe that Mary was sinless in lieu of Romans 5:12... "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Of course, the Catholics, in an attempt to cover up one lie, had to fabricate another lie--the Assumption of Mary. If Mary never sinned, then how could she die, because the Bible says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

God must smile on this village. Medjugorje gets it! I have been there and to hear all the different groups of people praying the rosary in their native tongues as they walk up and down the mountain is very awe inspiring and humbling at the same time! What a wonderful place of peace. We stayed with Ivan, one of the visionaries and he was great. What a wonderful time we had. Mir, Mir, Mir!

For those who have recently been there, be careful when you come back home, it is very common and easy to forget the great experience you had and come back to the way you lived your life before medjugorje, without praying, without forgiving, and really being an artisans of peace.

I went to medugorje a month ago. I´m 17, and I'm completely sure aparitions are true. I felt there things that can not be explained with words. I could be in the aparition the 2nd of october. Although I couldnt see anything, I felt how the Virgin touched my heart. My mum and a lot of people who went with us to Medugorje have changed their lives, as I have done with mine. God is in Medugorje, in an amazing way.
I only can say: go there and you'll understad. The Virgin is waiting to YOU!

Thousands of others have followed false apparitions for years! Look at Bayside and Christina Gallagher etc. They described the "incredible peace" and sense of "belonging" and "good fruits" and "conversions" etc. If you think this makes an "apparition" real, then you need to read more about discernment, and deception etc.
The interviews with the "seers" in the first week show the lies, deceit and contradiction, as well as bad theology. This surely does not come from heaven.

Medjugorje is false, just like Bayside etc. Many have been converted at other false apparitions, such as Christina Gallagher etc. There are far too many negative aspects, lies and contradictions to make it even possible that the Mother of God is appearing there.

Bayside made claims like Pope Paul died and an evil man replaced him, that the antichrist had taken the church, to turn away from church, claims concerning end of time, comet hitting earth, WWIII.the difference in messages here is huge...if medjurgorje is false, i'd be shocked.millions have converted because of it. What we saw and experienced is the work of God. The visionaries were 10-16 years of age when they first had the apparitions. I studied psychology, and the mannerisms of people, and I could see in those children the truth of what they professed.They spent time in church by faith.

josesilva9910, where did you get that information. Pope John Paul ll had an audience with some of or all of the visionaries. He was deeply moved by them, and told others that wanted blessings from him to go to Medjugorje. The Vatican seldom says anything about such things as apparitions until they cease, then they accumulate the information and facts to make a decision.When it is very obvious that something is a hoax, then they will state their case before people are misled.I was there,I know.

I was there in sept 1986, I have MS, I met Vicka with a group, she was lovely. I returned late July 1987 with my 12 year old daughter, while on the mountain I slipped and hit my head on a rock. I was buised and bleeding from the side of my face. I made it to Vicka's house and gestured I needed help and a drink of water, she looked at me then turned, walked back to her house leaving me and my daughter un-aided. Are these the actions of a woman who claims to see our lady??? This happend on Podboro

If the visions are genuine, they will be proved. The third secret (the Great Sign on Podbrdo) will prove them conclusively.
Even if the other initial secrets don't happen because they were removed due to prayer and penance (as the seventh secret has been, according to the visionaries), the last two (the great chastisements) can't be removed because there will still be nonbelievers at the end, according to Our Lady. So what's the problem? If they happen, the visions were real.

i think these ADULTS are liars and have shown to be liars many times with their VIRGIN ON DEMAND visions there was a test on Vicka where se flinched when someone came near her eyes during a vision she then claimed that she flinched because it looked like the virgin was going to drop the baby JESUS.
Medjugorje is a curse on Marian apparations...who can endorse a vision where the chief promoters where priests getting nuns pregnant etc..go research some more

Not trying to pick a fight, just discussing. All I wanted to say was that the very nature of what is happening, if paranormal or miraculous, is beyond any scientific method. But I understand your point that the tests are at least confirmation of lack of mental illness etc.
