  • thats great!

  • Do you have other videos from this year at the contest?

  • @mouyard Hi, Dan. I just have the video that OMPA put out with one performance from each contestant.

  • Rags are soooooooo much MORE FUN!

  • Brilliant!

By far the most excelent rendition of this piece I've heard. I must learn this rag, it's... well, it's paramount!

  • Thank you! I've played a handful of Scott's rags now, and this is by far my favorite (although I like "Efficiency" and "New Era" a lot too). The cascading figures in the first strain are especially fun--and not terribly difficult once you get the hang of 'em. Enjoy!

  • I've watched a lot of ragtime videos on youtube, and overtime I've picked out my favorites...only now did I realize that all my favorite videos are all yours!

You are by far my favorite player on youtube. thanks for all the videos!

  • I think that this is the most difficult Scott rag in "Classic Piano Rags." I'm working on it right now. I had never actually heard it played before until now. Your version is awesome.

The 2nd and 4th parts of the song are tough as hell to play.

  • Even if you didn't win your a great player to remember all that.....and no mistakes...

  • How did you fare in the contest?

    You play very well.

  • Thanks for the kind words. I placed 8th the year this was recorded. The contest attracts some extremely talented pianists and I go more to participate than compete :)

  • One of my favourite Scott rags, and one of the most difficult. You do it gret justice!

  • Thanks very much, Max. It's one of my favorite Scott rags too. Mine's a pretty straightforward performance; I bet you could play the heck out of this one :)

  • One of my favorite recordings, "Ragtime on the Wurlitzer PianOrchestra" has a version of this played at a fairly fast tempo; faster than this. I like the sound of it at that tempo and may learn it that way.

  • I love this music, great job.

  • Great! I've never heard this Rag before, and its great! I hope to see more of the Old-Time Piano championship!

  • This one is in the widely distributed Dover publication "Classic Piano Rags". You should be able to find that book somewhere. But you may already have a lot of the rags in it.

  • Yeah, I have the book, but I've never heard it played. I accually think I might want to learn this one.
