In the summer of 2007, I was sick for 4 months. I had flu-like symptoms, sore throat, coughing, and swallowing problems. I could only eat soft foods like pasta and Ensure and choked on most of what I ate. I had a dream that I could swallow in 5 weeks when two people would come to me and one would pray for me. I thought that dream was impossible b/c I had just moved and did not have a church home yet where I could be prayed for but 5 weeks to the day, I met 2 people. 1 prayed and I was healed!
I love hearing testimonies of healings. I also have had dreams that increased my faith when they came to pass. To know that our Lord is in complete control of our future is restful.

God still warns through dreams, prophecies and visions. However, all believers should experience this to some degree. If you NEVER hear from the Lord, you need to seek a real relationship with God.

Also, the general warning is for October generally. However, there is speculation that October 11th will be the day of an attack. It is 9/11 in reverse. 9/11/01 reversed is 10/11/(0)9.
Interesting responses. If God wants to warn us of something that could help humanity or that will help us on a personal level, that's God's business. Who are we to judge God's plans? As for the Proverbs 27:2 comment, I didn't take his video as bragging as much as that prayer works for him and it will work for us too.

It seems to me that God speaks to each person primarily in one way, then also uses the other ways, but in lesser amounts. For me, I primarily receive information in dreams. I also hear a lot in prayer, and I have had a few open visions.
Others have primarily visions, or primarily in prayer, etc.
But, the Lord says He wants us to "pray without ceasing", so He is willing to speak to us without ceasing.
If you are truly interacting with an all powerful god (rather than hallucinating...), then please use your abilities to tell us something useful, like when a horrible disaster is about to occur.
You could have stopped 9/11, foreseen some earthquakes, and saved millions of lives. To not use this power for the common good is horridly selfish.

1. Ask "the lord" when and where the next mass casualty disaster will occur.
2. As loudly as you can, warn people about it - including the specific date - so that they can be saved if they choose
If you truly speak to "the lord", you will have saved many lives.
If nothing happens on that date and place, then you are hallucinating and should see a physician.
