  • Lieberman - (or lying man as his name probably means in ancient hellbrew)

With his bill to shutdown internet needs to be treated as an information terrorist

Why cant the hi powered lenses of giod and evil be pointed back at those who always do the pointing?

We are going to be treated like a herd of cattle with our cattle herders getting to live outside the fence they create for us

  • Lieberman needs to be fired... From a cannon... INTO SPACE!

  • Who keeps voting for this asshole? Connecticut WTF?

  • This shrew wormy crook blah blah

  • Joe Lying sack of SHIT! bla bla bla bla, thet is him, Joe LIEbermann

  • ow, 'lie-berman' oww, ha, ha, ha.

  • god bless mighty joe!!!! the problem with men like who are anti big business doesn't put his faith in the lord and light of jesus h. christ, the one true lord and savior. if we want god's love we must make the people have faith for his second coming...not rest in the money...the insurance companies need it their way to make jesus love apparent. cause we need faith. bless the us and israel for the christ coming!!!! god bless out government!!

  • @ jackmomoff. So Jesus died on the cross so that big business and the insurance companies could have eternal life with God? Ah, right, I get it. Thanks. PS Have you sobered up yet?

  • Right on, Jack!

People don't read their Bibles anymore! Jesus said it Himself! Remember the Rich Young Ruler who asked Him how to be saved, and he said that he'd kept the commandments from his youth on? Remember what Jesus said then?

"One thing thou lackest: Go, and sell all that thou hast, and give it unto the CEOs and CFOs of the multinational megacorporations, that some of it might 'trickle down' unto the poor..."

And there you have it! Right from the words of our Lord and Savior!

  • What a crook, but than again what else do you expect from a MS Politician (MSP)?

  • I live in CT. Joe is an idiot who cares only for himself, and for the insurance companies that have already laid people off here. Become a Republican, Joe, make the transition complete. Can't believe this is the same guy I voted for back in 2000. Actually, by 2004, he had already lost me.

  • Joe LIEberman (R-CT)

  • If the Senate manages not to enact ObamaCare, one man we will have to thank for it is Ned Lamont.

  • @stocks321

I'll probably regret asking this, but huh? What is the circular logic that leads you to blame Ned Lamont?

  • when Massachusetts Democrat Michael Capuano, fresh from a second-place finish in the primary for Edward Kennedy's Senate seat, was asked to tell the Democratic caucus what he had learned on the campaign trail, he replied in two words: "You're screwed."

  • Lieberman: DIAF you fucking prick.

  • seriously,

How can the lobbyists and politicians against health care reform sleep at night. These people have no heart at all

  • I can't believe that Connecticut elected SOB either. I hate this two faced traitor. The mother F. sold us out and took the money. I would like to spit in his face.

  • Just curious, but what is wrong with this? WHy all the name calling? My mom retired and had medicaid and it covered EVERYTHING in her last few years on this earth -- all her hospitalizations, cancer treatments, hospice care, etc. She didn't have to come up with a dime. Why would this, then, be bad if older Americans could buy into Medicaid? I'm just wondering why this bothers so many of the people commenting here. Thanks!

  • @miss: some ppl will cut off their nose to spite their face, just to make sure certain others fail, i.e. dems &/or obama.

idk what else would prompt these idiots to NOT want healthcare that is 'free' when getting treatment or at least extremely affordable otherwise.

my priv. ins. corp. premiums & deductibles is $7k+ a yr, but w/ only 'discounts' after the deduc. is met. elsewise, everything b4hand is to be paid at full price - which means i havent been to the dr.s in yrs.

  • @misscarla62 the namecalling is because lieberman has long advocated this medicare buyin and then he turned around and, essentially by himself, made sure it would NOT be part of the health bill. now, of course, he is lying about his previous statements. he is the single worst member of the senate and that ain't easy to do.

  • what a scumbag i regret voting for this guy back in 2006

  • well I think it's pretty clear that Joe has sold out to the Hartford.. I've got an idea, instead of going after him, let's also go after the company who bought and paid for him. Let's boycott the Hartford and any insurance company that supports the bum.

  • I hate this lying cocksucker. All he gives a fuck about is getting a reach-around from corporate america.

  • So you say if your an older unemployed person you will be allowed to buy into Medicare? Gosh that sounds too good to be true.

  • Why do people in Connecticut elect this jerk? Why don't they recall him?

  • The wealthy insurance monopoly is spending over $150 million per day to stop health care reform... does anyone really expect the politicos (or much of the public) to see through this smoke screen? Please... call your senator and tell them to support reform (and thus, the American People) since Teddy Roosevelt Presidents have recogized the need for change (even Nixon)... but the greedy Ins. Co's have blocked it...

  • I can't stand this guy.

  • Way to continue your support for McCain, Lieberman! Your've managed to:

    - Make the democrats look ineffective and weak with no plan.

    - Make Obama look downright Carter-esque on healthcare.

    - Make Harry Reid look completely incompetent.

    - Bring every raving anti-semitic or anti-israel 'progrssive' out of the woodwork.

The Democrats look like they stand for nothing now. I am ashamed to have this man caucusing with my party.

  • @kjen: yeah, it was naive to believe neo-cons would want anything that might give real competition to corporate control over most american's lives & health well-being.

hopefully, real americans will keep CONTINUING the trend of decreasing the # of repubs in both houses of congress.

  • @rumpole -

I think we need to make a distinction between support for a 'public option' whatever that means, and the current health care bill. I personally don't know how that question on a 'public option' was worded, but with 56% against, and 46% strongly against (Rassmussen) the health care bill in it's current form, they certainly don't want the public option(s) discussed by our House or Senate.

So don't act like somehow Americans want this.

  • @kj: u've contradicted urself again. first you say 53% are in favor of public option, now u say 56% are against it.... make up ur mind.

idk what country ur from where priv. ins. corps are so benevolent that they're not following the standard DDD principle: DELAY, DENY, DEATH.

  • did you read my post? 56% applies to those who do not support the health care bill in congress. Current polls all indicate a 56-61% level of non-support.

What that implies is that that 53% number somehow put on the public option favorability needs to be supported somehow by several polls or thrown out.

It's also possible that 53% of people support some sort of public option, just not what's being proposed. I don't have much faith in whatever poll produced those numbers.

  • @kj "%53 support a public option of some sort".... your quote.

first u say 53% want a public option, then you want us to believe that x%, cuz now ur saying 56%, 61%, when it was 62% in your older posts, dont want a public option, then you say you dont have any faith in the polls when they dont support your stance, but want us to believe the #s you've gotten from polls.

idk ANY american who is for priv. ins. corp.s to keep gouging us & using the DDD system: DELAY DENY DEATH

  • You keep saying that I'm contradicting myself. I'm not. They really are two separate issues.

The most recent and reliable polls (e.g., Rasmussen, CNN, others) indicate a strong sentiment against the health care legislation as currently written (including the public option). That's fact.

I did some more research and found a few polls that do say that Americans do support some sort of public option, but what kind of public option? That's the unanswered question.

  • @kj: using 2 #s to contradict something is contradicting urself.

then saying (w/o #s) that there's a sentiment against public healthcare but also a sentiment for it is another contradiction.

anyways, when ppl in other 1st world countries get medical treatments w/o having to fight w/ priv. ins. corp.s to determine whether they're 'allowed' to continue living or not is something ALL americans would want too, esp. during times when they're sick to death, LITERALLY.

  • when will this old flip flop ,, die ,, People know when u are a lier , and can see right through u , look at him ,,, shamefull man ,, shame on u JOE ,,

  • Lieberman is a wanna be CIA ,,, and a flip flop ,, no one likes you lieberman because u dont care about the people but reather ur own political fame ,,, how sad that the people still keep reelecting

  • What a shameless lying two faced asshole this Joe Liberman guy is!

  • ct is full of stupid ppl, obviously... thanks ct. hope he screws u over continuously like he's doing to the rest of us... anyways...

the only way to get to liberman is to take away all his power & influence & damage his ego. i dont see why the senate is still trying to cater to this guy. you can seperate the bill into different parts so that you can get reconciliation (51 vote maj.). we could run an end game around j.l. & get the healthcare that compares to the rest of the 1st world countries

  • I can't stand the sound of his voice. When he begins to speak my brain shuts him off like so much white noise. He is a self promoter and a true American pain in the ass.

  • Joe Lieberman and his wife are OWNED by the insurance industry. They are disgusting pigs and need to be booted out of DC NOW!

  • Comment removed

  • jote - the biggest douchebag hypocrite ever!

  • Can Connecticut do a recall vote on Lieberman?

  • Does he not realize that that camera thingy he's looking into actually records these public interview sessions?

The guy is giving America a golden shower and laughing the whole way.

  • I was involved in Joes bid for president in 2004 and he definately supported a public option back then and expanding medicare. He said "medicare is a great program even with the existing problems we have with it. Its intent was to cover each and every American citizen and that is what I would like to see. Expand medicare into its original purpose". Bought and paid for by the insurance industry now Joe?............

  • Go Joe!! Don't get mad, get even!

  • Lieberman has turned into Ralph Nader -- nobody cares about him, and to stay in the public eye, he'd sacrifice American.

    Scum bag to the core!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a self-serving hypocrite and tool of the insurance lobby.

  • Interesting that @kjenson100, who cited a wrong 62% statistic has ZERO video views in his profile, yet commented on this video.

    A total GOP plant.

    Nice try, a-hole.

  • Ok. Fair and balanced. Huffington Post reports a CNN poll on Dec. 10. 61% opposed, 36% for Health Care Plan. They also report a curious stat that %53 support a public option of some sort, while 46% oppose. They lament however that only 22% of American families believe they would be better off under health care reform.

Rassmussen Reports today, 56% to 40% against the Health Care Plan with a whopping 46% Strongly opposing.

So, a few facts instead of swearing and idealogical blather.

  • Rassmussen leans right and is run by a guy who worked as a Bush campaign strategist. CNN is objective.

  • Rassmussen is the gold standard. He nailed the election results spot on. He may lean right in his own political views, but you can't argue with his polling. Anyways, CNN, the more 'objective' poll puts it at 60%. Who can argue with that?

People can insult me all day long, but you can't argue with the fact the the American People, while supportive of some sort of health care reform ( I want it myself!!) do not support the 2400 page monstrocity on the floor of the Senate.

  • @kjen: i dont see how the # of pgs makes it a bad thing. also, it's just ur opinion about the support of it, since u've done nothing but talk for other ppl.

  • @rumpole33 - I've quoted facts, which you have not. No matter what poll you look at, the American people don't want this. Do you support the american people?

Lieberman is winning in Connecticut polls while Dodd is losing big time to an unknown. Wouldn't it be prudent to listen to the people of his state rather than the White House?

  • @kjen: u've contradicted urself by saying 53% want a public option.

the only 'americans' who want the private ins. corps to keep controlling & dictating what treatments/procedures we get & DONT GET are those that are making $ off of it CONTRARY to the LIVES & HEALTH of REAL AMERICANS.

but then again, using ur term, i guess u dont want to 'support' nor help america.

it's funny how we'll never turn down cheap or low cost healthcare, not even anti-americans who want to keep us sick & dying

  • You assume that I don't want health care reform. Well let me be the only one in this forum offering ideas:

    1. Sell Insurance across state lines (easy)

    2. Tort Reform - Cap outrageous awards

    3. Import generics and drugs from Canada

That's just 3 easy things that Dems will NOT do because they are beholden to lawyers, and Obama has done a backroom deal with Drug companies letting them keep their prices high while restricting imports.

Why aren't you crying from the housetops about that?

  • @kj: #1 is a state issue, not a fed issue, as diff states have diff requirements. #2: capping tort reform does nothing to improve 'allowance' of treatments by private ins. corps. it only helps the corp.s & negligent med providers, since most lawsuits are done against those who've a history of mistreatmt/abuse. #3 neo-cons are against hurting am. pharm. corp.s profits.

only the dems want importation of drugs - not the repubs

tort reform is pro-corp.; not pro-public

  • @kj: state issue re ins. is done by repubs. dems want COMPETITION in order to help the public rather than the MONOPOLIES favored by repubs aka corp. lovers.

  • My last statement on the matter.. It's not an issue of corps vs the people. Corps give us the jobs and our high standard of living here in America.

All of my suggestions will LOWER health care cost, which is the point of reform in the first place. Doctors will not have to pay huge insurance premiums. If Dems want to import drugs then why the Obama back door deal? You don't hear them talking about the greedy Pharma companies anymore because they've been paid off.

  • @kj: where's my original answer? oh well...1. repubs dont want to get rid of the monopolies ins. corp.s have in certain states. that's why they make sure the states keep them in existance. 2. tort reforms are pro-ins. corp.s/medical providers & anti-american public. that's why repubs want it. 3. dems have been clamoring for restrictions to lift reg.s on importing drugs. repubs are against it as it's anti-pharm corp.s

  • Where is this "isle" you refer to? Maybe your statistic (62%) is as accurate as your spelling!

  • Must be the millions he's getting. Bought and paid for. How's that for a legacy.

  • Lieberman can go straight to fucking hell. Preventing healthcare to so many who are suffering and going bank-rupt - just FUCK him. He'll go down in history as a self-serving tool.

  • Lieberman, you stink. That is all.

  • You sir, are the biggest pile of crap in Washignton.

  • What an utter douche bag.... hypocritical, egotistical jackass. And to think President Obama offered him an outstretched hand after Lieberman endorsed McCain.... Thanks Joe... Obama should have used that hand to punch you in the face.

  • Good job Joe!!

    People before party!

  • Too bad none of those 'people' live in Connecticut!

  • glad he's having a good time playing with people's lives

  • Shill.

  • Lieberman is the most corrupt politician in Washington.

He needs to be thrown out because he is beholden to special interests, and he does not represent the American People.

  • Prediction;

"Free Market" conservatives will fight to the absolute DEATH to protect the parasitic profits of the non-working class (insurance CEOs.)

  • Worse yet, he's beholden to the insurance industry, and does their bidding at the expense of real health care reform.

And he's a mealy-mouthed egotist who spouts drippy platitudes.

It would be lovely to see him de-throned in 2012.

  • WTF?!? Either Joe "Short Bus Ride" Lieberman has got Alzheimer's, or he's got the moral values of Caligula.

Taking a particular stand on some issue may make you unpopular, or you may be perceived to have not studied the issue sufficiently - you'll answer to voters at the polls. But this kind of Now I Like It Now I Don't bullshit, combined with the fact that he takes LOTS of money from the insurance industry, is out and out corruption.

    What an arrogant sociopathic prick.

  • Two sides to this fellow. He wants Republicans, so he can have cover in his next election or he will lose his seat. He basically will not vote in favor of it unless a Republican does also. He doesn't care what is in the bill.

  • 51 republican senators - bulletproof majority

60 democratic senators - impotent minority

It's how gravity works in Washington DC.

Kind of like how 70% support for the public option translates into '85% of people are happy with their health care coverage.'

so no reform at all for anyone. Health insurance CEOs are the biggest parasites our society have ever known. You can't honestly tell me they add to the quality of health care.

By the Ghost of Adam Smith, they should all be homeless.

  • This motherfucker deserves the slow, painful death his constituents will suffer as a result of his corruption.

I swear, flip-flopping on an issue that affects Americans' health is what gets him a ticket to hell.

  • I can't stand to look at him.

  • It seems Lieberman has personal vendetta to screw over Democratic Liberals as hard as possible on every issue.

Hard feelings from being defeated in 2006 primary election?

  • you idiot, he is bought by the insurance companies.

  • What a two faced snake.

  • This guy is the biggest A Hole. The people of Connecticut should be ashame for electing such a d... bag.

  • "bullet proof majority"??? Not with Joe L and DINO like Bacus

  • The worst thing about is even if this dick move costs him the next election, his pals at the insurance companies in Connecticut will have a big cushy "consulting" job waiting for him, probably with his own car and driver. Personally, though, I blame it all on the teabaggers.

  • "I blame it all on the teabaggers" ?

Dems have a bullet proof majority you fucking drooling moron -

    Your idiocy is beyond parody

  • waaa waaa waaa i blame it on this i blame it on that democrats are easy

  • Hypocritical Douchebag... Talks out of his ass with Great Confidence that only the Successfully Dumbed-Down will swallow his poisonous Swill. He is UN-AMERICAN and should switch to the Multi-Nationalist Party that pays him off and strokes his Tiny Tiny pecker.

  • Do you really think no liberal has ever worked, or has an honest work ethic? Because I think you will find that Obama voters tended to be more educated and affluent than... oh, fuck it. What's the point? You are an idiot.

  • What a hypocrite.

  • Why do we keep dealing with this diseased, evil little creature?

RECONCILIATION! NOW! RAM IT RIGHT UP JOE'S ASS!!!

  • What a horrible, sad, pathetic human being. He makes me ashamed to be human.

  • I Am Beneath You, SIR

  • Hypocritical waste of time in every way shape and form. Connecticut, I hope you realize what you did to us by re-electing this fraud.

  • Hypocrisy at its best! What a flip-flopper! I hope every voter in Connecticut does the right thing with this bastard!

  • Ah, the ramblings of a petty hypocrite.

  • Joe Lieberman is all about Joe Lieberman, I can't believe I voted for this piece of shit.

  • Instead of Lamont?

You're not the only one, but this behavior is exactly what you voted for.

  • I voted for him for Vice President. I don't live in CT.

Now, to be honest, I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire

  • Lieberman = SCUMBAG.

  • A horrible little man

  • Connecticut please apologize for Joe Lieberman (R-CT).

  • ASSHOLE. His wife is a Pharma strategist and he's in bed with the industry. He has Israeli citizenship. THEY HAVE SOCIAL MEDICINE! GO BACK THERE ASSHOLE!

  • Dear Joe, You suck, and you are full of shit. It's all about you and your ego.

  • In other words, Holy Joe was for it before his sugar-daddies in the industry told him he needed to be against it.

  • I fucking hat Joe lieberman. One of the biggest most self serving snakes we have. I can't believe he was even on the democratic ticket in 2000. Now he's even fucking up the new medicare buy in for people 55 and older..A complete liar..If theres a hell a definatly has a place for him.

  • Whatever happens, this much we know is true: history will remember Joe Lieberman as a complete shitbag.

  • To be precise, he's a mealy-mouthed bullshitter who effectively works for his his constituency: the insurance industry.

He will be remembered for his major role in enabling the Republicans stop real health care reform.
