there is a physics explanation for all this. i think konami did not put a limit on the amount of spin possible so when the ball hit tht guys head the spin went twice over the supposed limit and bam. i have done this before in a freekick simulator.

If you'd bothered to look closely, you would see that the header would have landed alot more to the right of the pitch than it does after the mid-air twirling. It was headed quite strongly to the right, whereas the ball lands just about 2m from where the header was executed.

I'd say its a bug, probably, PES calculates the curve of the ball with the spin of the ball, and it got somehow too much spin, a bug in the engine.
