@leteachel I haven't shaved my head recently, but when it was shaved, yes it helped me stop pulling my hair on my head, but I was still having trouble pulling in other areas.

@leteachel yes! it can help i have it as well, and i cut it all off and been pull free about 2 months and staying strong cause i wont let this beat me. so i wish u the best on this. you have to take care of urself inside and out, and dont forget to stay strong

My mom has always permed my hair. I started cutting it when I was 16. But now it's growing out again and I won't be cutting it anymore and I no longer use perms. Thanks.

im treating my dry scalp do u think shaving it with an electric shaver would damage it even more?

@lizer13 when i first shaved i had extremely dry scalp and i feel it doesnt matter what shaver you use just be careful not to cut or scratch the skin because that will cause sores and thats worse then dry scalp. try a little olive virgin oil on your scalp maybe twice a week and see if that works if not go to your local beauty supply store and ask what products they recommend, and also DONT USE CHEAP SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER, because most of them are full of water.
