FOR ALL THE MMA FANS .Have you ever see a real street fight?Have you see them doing low kicks, head kicks or wrestling around? If yes you just see video games. In the hood you dont "play" theese moves. The real fight is just with punches.
@zenloc about 80% of all street fights end up on the ground from falling over over some guy gettin knocked down how can you say boxing is the true fighting sport im a boxing fan but how can it be the ultimate if they only train hands and foot work mma uses all 8 points of striking and incorporates all manner of locks submissions foot work wrestling etc case closed.
@zenloc you dont know how many people with excellent boxing backgrounds come my muay thai gym and dont even last a round....a true fighter knows that using only punches wont win you a fight...boxing is a good sport dont get me wrong but its only one part of fighting
@zenloc stupid a real fight doesnt have rules so you can punche kick elbow wrelstle etc... its not my problem you never seeing someone who really knows how to fight in the streets ;)

Can someone with experience in training in MMA answer this:
I've been wanting to train in mma for a while but been short on cash. I finally have money for it and know a few places i can go. My issue now is I have no experience in wrestling, bjj, judo, boxing basically anything. Do you think that is going to effect me joining an mma class with no experince?
Can someone with experience in training in MMA answer this:
I've been wanting to train in mma for a while but been short on cash. I finally have money for it and know a few places i can go. My issue now is I have no experience in wrestling, bjj, judo, boxing basically anything. Do you think that is going to effect me joing an mma class with no experince?
The only thing you will need is your spirit strong,a willing heart and most of all dedication to the sport. Before you know it you will have accomplished a lot. Show up everyday and give it your best. Soon enough you'll know what you'll expel in you will know your strength and weaknesses.I wish you the best of luck hope you do excellent
@jamesflames75 Yeah weights are an integral part of athletic training, but the way they were using them was stupid. Maybe they just wanted to look good for the chicks, cuz bicep curls sure as hell ain't gonna help in the ring.
@koflan Unless they're painfully weak, there is no need to train the biceps like that. The movement you do on a curl machine is never ever going to show up in a fight scenario. Yes, the biceps aid all contracting movement, but adding 35 lbs to your bicep curl will not save you from getting armbarred or make you punch and harder.
@avenger1000 My point is that while isolating muscle groups in weight training may not be the best primary strength training option for a fighter, I think it's going a few steps too far to say that none of the strength gains you achieve there can ever apply to any movement you use while fighting.
How I miss it. My gym moved. I miss every moment; entering that gym when that fucking hot air just would hit me. That was the past, my trainer was too much into money. But just because he decided to move doesn't mean I decided to stop. For anyone who has a similar story as me: do not stop training. Take what you've learned and try to make the best out of it... so when you get your chance you can do wonders. MMA is not a sport... MMA is life.
GREAT VID MAN!!! THis really gets me pumped. I, like every other person out there, want to be a champ someday and this video really keeps me motivated. Its a reminder theat if you stick with it and stay dedicated, you can do it. i love it. thanks for taking the time to make this video. :D
@droctagon3k I am quesioning those two specific exercises. They isolate the muscle and do very little to increase funcional strengh and conditioning. I still wonder why top fighters use them...
@CBoavida yeah bit when your using your arms in any capacity whether striking, grappling, wrestling, pushing, those muscles are utilised and engaged, so conditioning those specific muscles is obviously going to be of some benefit.
hey that's a cool song by David Guetta - the world is mine, that you have used in your video :) I really like it. Actually this video looks familiar to me, same as those I have seen at fightertips(dot)com - do you also own this site ?
I remember when i first saw this vid god knows how long ago, I started a regimen of watching it before every gym session, literally. And then I downloaded the song and played it in on ipod during every workout. unreal
@Nikon05 Holy shit dude me too. I still have this on my ipod and I would watch it before a running session, thats why im watching it now actually about to go running :P
Awesome video Ive said it before this really gets me going before the gym or a 5 mile run, it shows me how hard the MMA fighters can train and I strive for that as well. Thanks nasty11 great compilation!! 5 stars bro.
I've been doing mma training for 2-3 months now and i would like to ask you something guys. I train 4 times a week and since I've been doing so I sometimes have to take a shit like 3-4 times a day. is that normal?! I know it really stupid question, but everytime I eat something 1-2 hours later I have to go to toilet..
@kagolko I wouldn't worry about it too much, maybe you just need to manipulate your portion sizes a little. How much protein and fiber are you consuming at each meal? Do you feel bloated after eating and how big (in terms of calories) are your average meals? If you have trouble consuming all of your daily caloric requirements in the form of whole food, you can try substituting 2-3 meals with protein or meal-replacement shakes.
well I don't really eat proteins, I only use Arginine Ethyl Ester - kind of creatine and on breakfast and dinner I eat some scrambled eggs/or yoghourt with cereals and nuts; on lunch I get chicken breasts with rice or something. That's basically all protein I get. its just that my digestion is so much faster than before. I just can't get use to it. do you think that it has no point to train without protein? do you think that results won't be worth of effort?! and thanks for reply BTW
@kagolko if you've only been training 2-3 months then you might just need a little more time for your body to get used to your new diet and training schedule. Getting a decent amount of protein is pretty crucial to recovery and increased performance. Especially make sure you're getting some good protein right after you train as soon as possible to help recover.
well thanks a lot for your help brother. I don't know why you're helping me like this, but I sure will get some proteins as well. I'll keep it touch with you. btw - do you do some training your self? or some sport?
@kagolko@kagolko no problem bro, I like helping people with this stuff and you seem like a good guy who is trying to learn and improve as much as you can, so I'm happy to help. I've always been really interested in sports, nutrition and training and I've studied all of it most of my life. I played football back in the day (I'm 34 now) and I've been bodybuilding naturally for 10-12 years and also recently started training MMA for fun. Good luck and let me know how your training progresses.
yess i know but mma is the most fun to practise and it doesnt have ALL martial arts in it. and im on all those arts cause i want to get better and maybe fight at ufc or k-1 someday ;)
@DeanMLFlame. Discipline is very important in MMA just a word of advice this type of training is great to get in shape but the techniques won't always help you in a street fight if that's what you're implying, that's a whole different game altogether and has nothing to do with MMA.
@0Idskool personally from what "little" training I've had martial arts always helps in a street fight. Especially martial arts with few rules cause they prepare u for more. Still MMA training won't prepare u against weapons but I don't think it could hurt.
@Lyunatis Sure MMA training wouldn't hurt I mean if you manage to connect with your punch or kick, I train in MMA BJJ and Muay Thai, having said that I don't see what's to stop a guy from biting a chunk of my leg if I put him in an arm bar or gouging my eyes out if I put him in a guard on the street. Arts with emphasis on disarming opponents like Krav Maga would work great on the street but not so great in the ring cause it doesn't concentrate on the type of attacks I would throw at it.
@Lyunatis Or better still, avoid street fights altogether. If fighting is your thing, find a good coach train in the art that suits you and compete, make a name for yourself and who knows what you can accomplish. If you think people like Kimbo are known now for street fighting welll that's wasn't really street fighting, expect knives, broken bottles and even guns in a real street fight. You don't want that. Good luck.
Yeah man I'd like to tell you before I go running and train I watch this video, I think it was beutifully made and I appreciate you taking the time to compile this great video with this great song. Thanks!

The only aspect of MMA I really despise is the cost of the classes...

i'd love to do MMA style training, not to be a fighter, but can step forward when shit starts to go down, but i "rack a disciprine"

@DeanMLFlame. Discipline is very important in MMA just a word of advice this type of training is great to get in shape but the techniques won't always help you in a street fight if that's what you're implying, that's a whole different game altogether and has nothing to do with MMA.
0Idskool 1 year ago
@0Idskool personally from what "little" training I've had martial arts always helps in a street fight. Especially martial arts with few rules cause they prepare u for more. Still MMA training won't prepare u against weapons but I don't think it could hurt.
Lyunatis 1 year ago
@Lyunatis Sure MMA training wouldn't hurt I mean if you manage to connect with your punch or kick, I train in MMA BJJ and Muay Thai, having said that I don't see what's to stop a guy from biting a chunk of my leg if I put him in an arm bar or gouging my eyes out if I put him in a guard on the street. Arts with emphasis on disarming opponents like Krav Maga would work great on the street but not so great in the ring cause it doesn't concentrate on the type of attacks I would throw at it.
0Idskool 1 year ago
@0Idskool yeah i hear what ur saying and i agree. The only way to get good at street fighting is to do it untill u just become good at it.
Lyunatis 1 year ago
@Lyunatis Or better still, avoid street fights altogether. If fighting is your thing, find a good coach train in the art that suits you and compete, make a name for yourself and who knows what you can accomplish. If you think people like Kimbo are known now for street fighting welll that's wasn't really street fighting, expect knives, broken bottles and even guns in a real street fight. You don't want that. Good luck.
