  • 9 people are from demons hell

  • i absolutely agree with Mr.Wright.

  • The God delusion on hyper drive here folks! You guys need to get a clue, I mean seriously! Christianity still has has the burden of proving they have a monopoly on truth over all other earthly religions let alone feeding gullible people this garbage about heaven. Seriously, grown men still talking about this stuff. Unbelievable!

  • I'm an atheist, and I think this guy is awesome. The reason for this is because even though he is wrong, and when we die we are dead, his messages are great and he dosen't bash science.

  • NT wright should be put in charge of christianity.

  • wow, i never thought of it this way but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for putting this video up

  • Well said well said indeed

  • 8 people are lazy!

  • I AGREE TOTALLY

  • Just a question, so what it says if you don't whorship god, you will be punished, and if you whorship him he will promis you a eternal life.

Doesn't that make him a sort of dictator?

serious question, i do not know what to think of that.

  • @Njamimars There are many different thoughts on the whole eternal life question, including punishment. Those thoughts have been around for a long time but the popular western narrative has often kept them from the limelight. I'm reading "Love Wins' by Rob Bell at the moment (and despite the worries of those who haven't read it) am finding it another option worth serious consideration and would suggest you check it out.

  • @Njamimars thats a very good and common question..... He put us on earth to watch what we do and to see if we follow gods instructions or just do our things on our own terms. He actually says in the bible that he could make the rocks of the earth worship him but thats not why he created us. He gave us a free will and the ability to know right from wrong.,, and its up to us whether we choose good or will we do bad and selfish things. Hope that helps !

  • @zestydude87 Thanks, but in heaven do we got an free will?

  • Soo im in heaven im going to rule another world and then? i will rule the world O_o?

  • I wonder if they have xbox360 up there. I heard hell has ps3.lol

  • You have no idea how close he is.

  • The book "Life in the World Unseen" answers this question perfectly. You can download it free from the internet.

  • (1)I like to play videos games such as PC games you pay for.

So I am always on my chair.

    Is this a sin?Am I being a sloth?

Please,a Christian with higher knolege please respond.

    (2)Will there be want's that I highly enjoy?(PC GAMING)

Because Heaven seems boring because IDK if it will have the things I enjoy, but at the same time lovely.

  • @a2hunts You need to get out more friend. Meet people and interact with them. It is more fulfilling than any game.

  • @a2hunts You need to get out more friend. Meet people and interact with them. It is more fulfilling than any game...especially usefull when you get to the other side.

  • @a2hunts

"I like to play videos games such as PC games you pay for.

So I am always on my chair.

    Is this a sin?Am I being a sloth?"

Are you enjoying them every now and then - in the way that people relax or tell stories or do a bit of role play?

Or are you putting that in front of other people and things you should be caring for?

  • @Birdieupon Well,

I don't go as much as abusing it for caring for something.Maybe a little bit on my animals, but nothing such as a human-being.It's like an obsession though, since I have nothing better to do.

  • A very nice man. However I just don't believe it

  • Available for free download : "Life in the World Unseen" Google it. The best book on the subject I have yet to find.

  • Yes! Absolutely. That's my favorite line too. The leaves are for the healing of the nations. It will not be a static place. There will be healing, learning, growth. And every act, from washing the dishes to creating a symphony, will be a supreme act of worship.

  • HEAVEN MUST BE A CROWDED PLACE !

    .....George Carlin

  • Well I know that there will be no marriage in heaven so that takes care of that reason to look forward to heaven, but will I be able to play video games? If not then what is so great about heaven, who wants to live forever serving the christian god?

  • @HonestTechnoAtheist lol. I can relate, but that statement should be looked at in context. Matthew 22:24. Desire is not subject to the same principles of a realm existing aside from that of non-eternal creation. Also, about serving the Christian God, it's complicated. It's not so much serving God as it is taking part in Him. Revelations gives info to that and etc. So, no real reason to sweat it dude. :)

  • If heaven is real You do realise that its not you anymore in there,in fact youre personality goes away along with the body(if you were in perfect shape or not)and eveything will be as one, reminds me of the Borgs where they all acts as one and none are unic-which is the whole meaning of being human.

  • @crissxxx ?

  • @crissxxx ;;; Your description does not match the best evidence available from psychic research societies, where each person keeps their own personality in the afterlife.

  • Lets put it in logic alright? If your personality is somewhat cocky, competitive and proud it doesnt make you a bad person but in Heaven those will be stripped apart since everyone has to be equal in anything and thats awfull.I like to think that each and everyone of us has something that the other one doesnt, its what makes us Unique. Some people spend their life achieving greatness and glory while others just live to exist, its a great difference.

  • @crissxxx Where did you get the idea that everyone has to be equal? They aren't and never will be. Heaven is stratified, there is room for continual improvement and there is no end to it.

  • Well what does it say? That when we reach Heaven we are perfect, meaning there isnt anything else to top it.Thats why we are equall at everything there.Since competition might be banned because there is a winner and a loser, thats life but Hevean must be good for everyone.Think with logic my friend.

  • @crissxxx Your logic, but unlearned. Do you think the bible is the only information about heaven? It is not, and some of what it has to say is incorrect. Look up the records of psychical research societies. Read "Life in the World Unseen", written by someone who lives there.

  • Really?Show me proof that someone comes from the dead and speaks about it.Just because someone dreams last night about Heaven doesnt mean he/she went there.Ever heard of halucinations?schizophrenia rings a bell?Hell I dreamed last night I could fly does it mean I should jump ?And who says Im only saying from the Bible?if there is Hevean we all have to have everything and none of us have a weaknes meaning there is nothing to improve.Perhaps it isnt perfect,in order to improve our new lives.

  • @crissxxx Check out NDE accounts here on YT. They have been studied in depth by the medical field and are not dreams and hallucinations. See the story of Danion Brinkley.

  • @HonestTechnoAtheist Check out the book "Life in the World Unseen", download free from the internet.

  • so we will be Elevated to a level of guardian to look after new creations...that's kinda nice....hopefully we'll be more than watchdogs though..... This guy is interesting

  • NT Wright is great, indeed. Obviously, the answer is nothing if you consider Heaven as a place where souls of the dead go right after their death, which is (of course) not what early Christians believed in. The 'going back' of souls is surely a Platonic idea. The Christian idea is the Resurrection of the dead at the end times. Therefore, the physical body is important for Christianity. Of course, Wright is correct in his descriptions, because he describes the heaven after the resurrection.

  • @alexanderwotl ;;; There are 2 schools of thought in the bible about 'life after death'. One is 'soul-sleep', the other is 'alive'. As usual, in the bible you can argue both sides and give scriptural references for both. I prefer the 'alive' reasoning.

  • well, Jesus is "King of Kings" and "Lord of Lords", who are these lords and kings he is referring too?

  • it's all most certainly a fairy tale and i dont see how anyone can believe these things

  • @shadyreefer69 Then you must be quite baffled as to how the world is composed of believers and etc, even more so as to the fact that there are fields of study with intelligent people devoted to this kind of "fairy tale".

  • i love when he talks

  • There will be more people created and born on earth during the 1000 year reign of Christ, and for at least 1000 years those of us who make it to heaven will be leaders and governors over those people, their nations and tribes.

  • nope

  • The idea of heaven as we know it did not exist witht the earliest jewish christians. Most of them believed in an end of days at the end of the eschalon. The Pagan did believe in the immortality of the soul though, and this was eventually adopted by christians...likely because the end did not come. Today, christians are divided. some believe in a heaven that begins at death. Others believe you sleep until the end day, then are resurrected. To believe in both is weird

  • adstanra: nice summary. I know what I was raised on, but it's largely conjecture, not cleanly correlated to specific scripture.

  • and still others believe both, sleeping on eart, and your in heaven(which 'may' be outside of time allowing a duality experience)

  • When Christ says that the people who suffer are the ones who are blessed, at first, I thought that a bit hard to conceive, but I started to see what that means. In a video of Dr. Habermas describing his experiences with the death of his first wife, he asked God to just bring her back or to just take him away. But he realized God's not going to do that: He will hold our hands through suffering because it builds character, for us to live, learn, and most importantly love. Heaven is a place of love

  • I love NT Wright! He's wright on!

  • wow man... this guy fuckn gets you PUMPED to die!! haha. But when he says "the ones who belong to jesus christ..." Im sorry but i dont worship JESUS, i worship God. I see jesus as sort of a way of living life...a guidline... even though there is NO WAY any human could be just like him. Even if Jesus never existed and someone made him up, Jesus as a character in a book is the right way to live.... i could care less if he existed. Thats what i belive will get me into this new world.

  • Nah, well actually if you believe in the Bible, you'll see it says, none can enter into the kingdom of heaven unless you accept Jesus Christ the Son of God. It's three in one (plus the Holy Spirit) You can't loose believing in Jesus. But you can loose not believing. Give it some thought.

  • I dont believe in the bible, so that doesnt apply to me. I don't believe a word written in the bible. The only thing i take from it are the small life lessons. The bible was written by humans, not God. If God wrote it, im sure it would have made it flawless and unable to be changed or misinterpreted. We are flawed... so inturn the bible would be too...and with all the new Ver 2.0's and 3.0's, you've got to expect; it's been "tweaked" a bit. Give that some thought.

  • How can you not believe in the bible but in God that is ridiculous. You have a baseless God, you dont belive in God you believe in a god. If you believed in God then you would believe in the Scriptures which is the God breathed Word. Weather it was written by God or man makes no difference, it may contain human error but it is the truth that it teaches, and it is that truth that we should follow. Almost every one has a god but it is our faith in Jesus which saves us.

  • @viktorybane Quite wrong in your assumption that it is ridiculous to believe in God but not the bible. Many 'holy books' exist. I use a book called "Oahspe" Many believe in God but not Jesus. The scriptures are subject to doubt : Bart Ehrman, well known bible scholar, says it is the word of man, not of God.

  • Thank you for your thoughts- I certainly respect them. However, take me up on this challenge: Read the book of "Luke" in the Bible (not very long) and just see what you think. Most folks haven't given serious thought to the person of Jesus. It would be good to be more informed on who the guy is and what he is like.

  • Awsum

  • people really need to wake up out of this dream world about releagion beause its not real its like santa or the easter bunny jack in the benstalk type shit.

  • Thanks for all you are doing for Jesus.

  • Interesting. This question has been bugging me for a long while now, but N.T. Wright's insight is quite helpful and intriguing.

  • Moshiach will keep the peace with an iron rod. Nature's reaction to wickedness will be magnified to the point that rain will not fall on nations who refuse to pay homage. Therefore, we will be able to reign with him without tempered holiness, not vigilant greed.

  • What a beautiful thought to know that there will be a healing of the nations in Heaven. N.T. Wright and his thinking has such insight and hope.

  • I agree :) god bless.
