Well the cruise ship picture is a people who are out for fun, fun, fun...I dont think the church should be a people dedicated to fun. The battleship on the other hand show a people who are alert ready like an army but know and want to be on the front lines of the battle. The bible does declare that we have an enemy and we need to be alert and trained in the Word..
We are truly in the middle of a war for souls. Unfortunately, if it were as easy as shooting sin to get rid of it and still save lives, I know I'd be doing it right this very moment. But it's a good tangible way to give people an idea of what we're really looking at.
Because when you try to fit God in the "vending machine" box, you're going to be disappointed. A vending machine gives you what you pay for (in theory, anyway...). God gives you what you truly NEED to fight for your own spirit.
we are not a ship but a body of believers, there needs be no puppet pastor hired by Maggot massons, infiltrating it like worms "big mo" and it needs no walls, cause the same maggot massons can always repent and be apart of the body if they so desired. so you have it, preachers obviously get hired by the money grubbing illuminasty that only ad lib the word and dont have anything to stand on
this video asks the question "do you go to church to be served or go in service?"...."is your church in favor of serving others or in favor of serving its self?"..."are you on a mission to bring compassion and forgiveness to the world or is it simply a "joyride" till' death?"...i like it....these are good questions....i prefer a CPT. who is a CPT. for a mission ...and not the CPT. who is simply the CPT.for the sake of being in charge....are you building peoples or steeples?..i prefer peoples....
Yup it is good, but I would have mentioned the other "guests" on the cruise ship and how we critize them, especially as they walk up the gang plank.... and how on the battleship we work TOGETHER for a common goal. just my thoughts there.
@Cabaltuber Thou therefore endure hardness as a good SOLDIER of Jesus Christ, and many other passages refer to the church and christians as being in a war. A sailboat would also be a good comparison as well though.
This video might be using the metaphor of a cruise ship and a battleship but the meaning behind it is: Are you going to take the comfortable, easy path that is over all meaningless? Or the harder path that has great meaning for you and the others you serve and serve with and serve under?
I would be lying if I said that I have never wanted the cruise ship. After all, easy things are, well, easy. But at this point in my life and can say I'll take the battleship. I'll take the harder road.
ELLEONTHEJUDA07 (1 second ago) Spam Marked as spam Such a jolly occasion to meaninglessly gather under a substituted, once a day celebration of hypocrisy. That is what the increasing number of fake Churches are. Spot on Guys!, We all are in THE Spiritual battle-ship, one that doesn't have four walls, a puppet and a misused roof. That ship, is inside you... ( Comment on "Cruse Ship vs Battle Ship"). Good Job as always igniter... : )
@ELLEONTHEJUDA07 i agree with your comment how we dont need a puppet figure head and four walls, however we do need unity in the spirit, hard to find anymore unless we forgive,
Only someone who does not know the church world would critique this video as even remotely close to "injecting strands of militancy." It spends far more energy critiquing the "cruise ship" mentality, which is rife in American churches. The "battleship" metaphor indeed addresses mission, dedication, and submission to higher command. It may be somewhat clumsy but all illustrations have their limits. Christians are in a spiritual battle--that is biblical. But our weapons are faith, hope, and love.
It is because those critics look for a cruise ship in EVERYTHING! It is the reason why this country is allowing the fallen to lead us. Broken promises, betrayal, and deceit. A lot like a cruise ship after you get home and have to pay off the credit card for the cruise! Only then does it start to feel like it wasn't worth that much! Funny how the world works.
@Parthianking but ministry is still a battle. i bear in my heart the scars to prove it. faith gets crushed, hope wanes, and love is almost always misunderstood. unless you're a battleship built and tested by the Holy Spirit Himself, you'll never be fit for ministry.

This kind of message from religious authorities is concerning to right-thinking men. Encouraging the supplicants to think of themselves as soldiers or analogous to a military unit is a sly but ancient tactic to inject strands of militancy. It is the same kind of propaganda used by the islamic imams to produce terrorists, differing only in degree and slick commercial presentation.
I'm sure the propaganda you have submitted yourself to is much different... maybe you follow so-called science like the Nazi's or maybe you think you are following the good of the other-man like the communists... but is your world-view evidenced by truth and rationality? if you are comparing Biblical Christianity with Islam, than I'm afraid you haven't really educated yourself, and are just following your pre-conceived notions...
I am not comparing the two religions but rather their methods. Your reply to my comment doesn't make any sense. I made a (valid) point that this video compares a church to a battleship, and that that encourages a degree of militancy - much less than Islamics but the idea is the same. Your veiled insults implying I follow Nazi or communist doctrines do nothing to refute my point, or defend your own position. If you are appealing to rationality it doesn't show.
I would like to propose that the purpose of the battleship anology is not to inject feelings of militarism but rather to compare the organization, dedication, and sense of purpose a millitary ship would have to a laid-back party ship.
I thought this was a great video! One suggestion I would add (or was hoping to see) was the scene where it had the cruise ship, it talked about "are my needs met?" and I was hoping that with the battleship scene it would have said something about "am I doing my part to serve?" or something along the lines of the crewmembers serving or doing their part on the ship. That is my only suggestion for this video to make it even better. Overall, well done. :-)
Hahaha, nice metaphors! :)

Actually, battleships did carry helicopters and served as runways for planes before aircraft carriers were invented.
HeadRam62 2 years ago 2
Pssst... Battleships never carried Helicopters, or had flight decks requiring a man to use those flags you showed waving about for that matter..
