  • It did exist! I've found proof! My parents watched this when I was just a tot. I kind of remember this opening and Adam and Eve, but I have a much clearer recollection of Jerome.

  • this is why youtube was made cause i have come across shows i had forgot all about.

  • Wow, Just WOW, I sssoooooo want this on DVD!!!!!!

  • WOW this brings back memories!

  • Warners : GET THIS OUT ON DVD....

    Nuff Said!!!!

  • WOW, for years I`ve been trying to remember the name of this show, asking people if they ever seen it. I remember the wind up walking up a sexy chicks leg, then falling to the floor with a huge grin. It was great seeing this at prime time.

  • Was that Scatman Crothers singing the theme song?

  • @looneytoon76: Yup

  • @looneytoon76

YES!! It shooby-wabby [trying to get my Scatman on] was.

  • Hanna-Barbera produced almost every cartoon in existance?

I remember a character named Jerome a baby whom was in potty training- climbed up a giant tiolet (size of a mountain) then was accidently FLUSHED!

  • @TRKoneAD2 I think that was Rugrats.

  • I had this on VHS as a child..recorded from TV of course..

never the less..I was obsessed with it..and cant find it anywhere

I'd pay a pretty penny to have it again!!

great art, great jokes..and all with an adult edge

If anyone knows anything..please post the info

  • How did that show get on the air in the 80's?

  • wtf?!? i've never heard of this one!

  • I've been hoping to find something on this somewhere. I remember seeing only two episodes of this on tv around 1981 or 82. I remember I was around 8 and I loved the style of this show. Kinda like Mad magazine. I never knew it was Hanna-Barberra until now. Thanks for posting this.

  • whats with the partial nudity

  • What year was this made?

I never seen or heard of this before.

  • ????? did know knew that there was a show like that from HB????

  • Surprsingly Bill and Joe returned to producing--directing and yes that "is" Harry Bowle.

  • I've an episode years ago. Most of the cartoon shorts were based on classic jokes like ''the crunch bird'' A woman buys a crunch bird that eats anything on command until the angry husband yells, ''CRUNCH BIRD, MY BUTT'' The sickest one was the wind-up toy that walked up a woman's dress, when she sat down she left the toy crushed with a big smile on it's face.

  • Sans panties at 0:25?

  • So it seems...

  • Henry "Fred Flintstone voice #2" Corden did a lot of voice work in this short lived cartoon series.

  • The fat husband in the wife-beater looks a lot like Harry from Wait Till Your Father Gets Home...

  • that's because both shows were designed by long time hanna-barbera and playboy cartoonist marty murphy.

  • Nice singing of the Jokebook theme song by Scatman Crothers!

  • can you tell me more about this show? I googled the hell out of it, and can't find it anywhere!!

  • The Jokebook was an adult aimed Hanna-Barbera cartoon aired on NBC Spring 1982, 7 1/2 hour episodes were produced but only 3 aired before it was canned by NBC for low ratings.

  • i'd like to see this on adult swim someday...

  • Thanks!!

  • And KPRC in Houston didn't give that series a chance. Instead, we got reruns of The Muppet Show in it's place.

The only other instance in which a prime time series was not carried would go to KMOL (now WOAI in San Antonio) refusing Hello Larry & replacing it with Happy Days Again reruns.

  • I can't believe that Channel 4 (KMOL/WOAI) would do that to 'Hello Larry.'

IIRC, a couple of years ago, WSAV in Savannah, GA wouldn't air a contraversial(sp) show but I forgot the show's title.
