A motor like this one may never power a car or truck, but it can be used to recharge a battery, and thus power a car.

It is true that one magnet repeals another one, therefore if you arrange many magnets in the right way, you will eventualy get it to spin, therefore I see nothing wrong with this video.

Again... this is FAKE. Attracting magnets only have a relatively small amount of potential energy when they are apart. Once they come together the energy is gone. You put energy in you get it back out. It’s like picking up a rock and dropping it. Yet no one claims you can power a motor solely with gravity. This is an old video showing the prop for a fraud. The folks who made this machine cheated people of their money and are now facing the courts.

You don't need advanced math to prove that this machine can't work. Start by imagining a simple machine with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator Think about it being a mirror image of its self and what this means about the torque vs angle curve. You will see.

Actually i made something similar to this motor. I used magnets to repel each other at an angle that way it was a constant motion. The closer the outer shell was to the magnetic wheel the faster it spun. It took no electricity at all.

its not more widely known because it is impractical in every respect, the more work they perform the faster you need to magnetize them again or buy new ones, nothing free about that. And it would be more efficient to buy solar cells to charge a battery, not to mention the amount of power you need to deliver to move a car will make your head spin- so you would need an incredibly large array of magnets that need constant maintenance or charging.

The biggest problem with magnets is as we all know cogging. Since magnetism and centrifugal force is new to many of us since it was denied to us in our state education I once came up with a theory that if you get the magnet arrangement right...coupled with the correct mass and can spin it up to a certain speed using a motor then release it from its motor drive something remarkable will happen and it maintains the spin on its own. I will be working on this theory soon.

@ukjim i do not yet have the magnets needed nor do i have the nylon discs i need to do this. i have seen vids where people have tried using wood and have failed, but they also did not have any sheilding on the ends of the magnets like in this video, if the magnetic feild is allowed to go out full, this cannot work, the magnets must be sheiled so only a portion of the megnetic feild can get out of the magnets to do this.
