  • Press 4 for roll play and other stuff.

  • I went here in 1986 and the mermaids have tubes that are placed in inconspicuous places so they can get oxygen from while they are performing

  • crocidiel was scary

  • thats on the simple life

  • I love it! Great people and a great place to visit!

  • I was just by here, in the spring hill area stayed right down the street on commercial way road, anyway it was closed but looked around a little, its a beautiful little spot and it's kind of sad the commercialized it so much, they took something very natural and stunning and made it so you can't even see it till you pay money, and the sad thing is that it is going under and the town they made around it is about to be closed down. and there's naked mermaids everywhere along the road haha.

  • NO NOT WEEKI WACHEE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gah. I had wanted to be a Weeki Wachee mermaid from the first time I saw it. I was like. . . 3. Used to work on my breathing in my gramma's pool to learn how to stay level underwater, haha. Shame I was never the right bodytype for it. BUT! I did get to swim down into the mouth of the spring where they perform when I was 11. I snuck in during some relay race. Was a minor dream come true. Swam all the way to the treasure chest. Ah, memories.

  • mermaids dont wear shirts or bra..

  • thts cuz they arent real

  • omg thats soo kool i wanna do that wen im older

  • um they arent real mermaids i think its their job to act like a mermaid? but anyway i want to see the show!!!

  • I just went there last Tuesday with my wife and 4 year old daughter after visiting my father in Brooksville (we're back home in NY now). It's a great show! A lot of fun and you can go down to the beach area afterwards to swim and water slides. A good good time.

  • I heard about this when I was a kid, I never saw it, I would love to see it (in the winter time), so I can get out of here, we get 7 ft of snow here in upper michigan u p. joel thanks for putting this on the video

  • I live about 15 minutes from there. its really a sight to see, and the underwater theater looks ALOT BIGGER in person. Believe me.

  • omg i want to work there as a mermaid!!!!!!!! that looks like the funnest job ever!!!!!!!

  • Weeki Wachee is one of the old Florida roadside attractions, from before the interstates went through and Fla. became just a big highway. I went there last year. It was the first time I'd been even though I was born and raised in Fla. I'm glad I went because WW is having financial trouble and may not be around much longer. Too bad, the mermaids are a lot of fun to see, and you can also swim at a nearby spring after you've seen the show!

  • weeki wachee isnt going anywhere. its a state owned park now. it will be there for awhile.

  • haha like the end! :)

  • My cousins are going there. I wanna go to, but i have school :l

  • I went there for summer camp and I plan to hopefuly work there when I am older

  • This video is awesome I have been going to weeki wachee for 8 years and i plan to work there. Its amazing. The hole leads down under the spings where the mermaids come up into the underwater stage.

  • and whats down that hole at 0:45???

  • 1947?

    its 2009 !

  • wow..

  • Someday I will be a meraid, no matter what. I don't care if I have to die. I will become one. I want to move here! Do you think that if you move to Weeki Wachee they let you become a mermaid?

  • it takes a lot to become a weeki wachee mermaid. Its a lot of training. Its a lot of training during the wnter so its freezing. lol. It's all worth it though and its a lot of fun. It's just like any other job. You have to apply and then go for an interview and all that fun stuff. They don't just hand you the job because you live there. lol.

  • any merMEN there?? ;)

  • we have guys that play the prince. they keep their feet though. they dont put on a tail.

  • also do you get to pick what color your tail is?

  • yah how long do you really need to hold your breath???

  • you need to be able to hold your breath for at least 47 seconds.

  • i can hold mine for almost 2 minutes!

  • that looks like the FUNNEST JOB EVA

  • omg i want to be a mermaid i can do ballet moves and probobally hold my breath for the 45 seconds that would be amazing

  • But 45 seconds isnt a long time to hold your breath.

  • it is when you are trying to do a lot of stunts and a show underwater! you wear out quicker than u think!! =D

  • its not that bad once you go through training. its a lot of fun.

  • so.. i've lived in Ohio all my life. i've heard about and always wanted to get here!! now me and my sister just moved to Orlando like 2 months ago which is ehh a little more than an hour drive to Weeki Wachee and OMG I'LL FINALLY GET A CHANCE TO GO AH!!!!!!!!!
