  • Notice: It was indeed the remembrance of the fear of the Lord that play a pivotal role in that boy finding assurance. What has gone unnoticed is also the goodness of the Lord that visited his heart with that assurance. Godly sorrow does indeed work repentance as shown in 2 Cor.; but this godly sorrow is the other side of the same coin where Romans reveals that the goodness of the Lord worketh repentance. So many passages of the Bible that illustrate this experience. Psalms is full of them.

  • This makes sense. But what about other things? I have succumbed to the temptation of internet porn. . . at times, consistently. And other times, without it. I dont "practice" it, but I have done it. When I did it I knew it was wrong, and hated myself and the sin for it, I hated myself and wanted to stop, is that fear of the Lord too?

  • "And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me." (Jeremiah 32:40 KJV)

  • Had the boy been a legalist he would've listed a law that demands him not go rather than refer to his fear of the Lord being that thing which stops him.

  • A legalist wouldn't have listed the fear of the lord as a reason not to go; but a law that demanded he not attend. Hence the name legalist.

  • hm great a god that needs to be feared, very aesome

  • It's fear as in reverence, not fear as in being afraid.

  • thats powerful. But what if he wouldve gone?

  • That would mean the opposite of being saved. If you don't fear God, you're still lost.

  • ...

Then he's not saved. Very simple.

  • If he would have gone, that would have proven that his heart was never TRULY changed by God. This proved that it had been.

  • Read the Bible and find out

  • wow thank you sooo much

  • Maybe the boy was a legalist.... Then the answer would have been the same, and the boy would still have been lost.

  • I know that Paul washer is a good preacher, and that he generaly tells the truth,but.... Here he does a mistake, the first one i seen from him.

They boy cold had benn a legalist, and then the answer would been the same!

  • God is awesome!

  • does any one know if this guy has a website or a way of contacting him? i saw this video and IMMEDIATELY i got HIT and started tearin up... good message.. i need to hear more of this guy he breaks the glass houses of these fake preachers.. anyway god bless

  • Yes he has. You can go to heartcrydotcom...check my favorited videos for more sermons ;-)

  • Wow I'm Romanian. My whole family is from there.

  • That is EXACTLY what it's like. Amen brother Paul, amen.

  • Oh wow thats incredible :D

  • never take this down

  • The sad reality is that Paul would've been fired as the pastor of a typical American Church if he was found telling someone in the congregation that, even though what he did was purely biblical.

  • Amen. The church today is so sad. If you haven't watched his hour long "shocking message" video, check it out. The state of the body of Christ is utter depravity.

  • Now that's how you witness to someone! EXCELLENT!!

  • Wonderful!

  • Such a powerful message. God Bless Paul Washer and Praise Jesus.

  • This next generation is going to have so few preachers. I have a feeling a great multitude are going to die in the near future.

  • Paul is an affective preacher.

Let us 'beg'/'cry out' to the LORD Almighty that HE might raise preachers/evangelists like Brother Paul Washer in every country of this sinful world........

    JESUS IS LORD!!

  • As in John16: says "the spirit convicts of righteousness as well as sin" Thank God for the Spirit who Will lead us all into all truth; hang in there guys

  • Amen! "...by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil." Prov 16.6

  • I feel like that Romenian boy ,but being a christian in a modern country isn't easy.

If I would dear to say I'm a christian, they would just all laugh about me and make me a fool.

  • Don't hide the fact that you're a christian. Jesus said that we should rejoyce and be glad if we are persecuted for His sake. Read Matthew 5:10-11-12. God Bless You!

  • Why would you hide the truth? Does a person light a candle and hide it under something?

Therefore, if you are saved, nothing will stop your light from being put on a mountain. Build yourself treasures in Heaven, and foist the candle on top of all that you are.

  • @Complex1989 The bible says that Godly sorrow leads to repentence. Don't let the devil condemn you. If your sorrow makes you feel hopeless then ignore it because its evil. We are to preach the word but we don't want to be parrots of truth, Christ says to bare fruit we must abide in him, so stop worrying, seek and get close to God first, and you will not be able to stop yourself from preaching the gospel when your ready. We shouldn't be parrots of truth, we should preach with Christ likeness

  • I love Paul Washer I pray that God would send more preachers like him to us, and that us Christians would have the strength to seek out true preaching not the watered down versions that we find in a lot of todays churches, amen.
