  • By using sets u tweak 3delight in rendering exclusive setups, and you stop to use the lightlinking mechanism of maya. =>dont use sets, assign the hair to the shave shader in 3delight shademngr as u did, select the hair, go to 3dl attributes, add the hair to geometry with 'lighting'(leave at lightlinker), for the light assign a 'shadow map' and 'shadow object' in 3dl attributes (leave all to lightlinker), add the deep shadow map, =>light- and shadowlink the hair/light inside maya render tab!

  • @vetodnb You are right. This demo was done in an old version of 3delight which needed light linking I beleive.

  • Does it render shave and haircut just as BUFFER, or Hair Primitives, or both(like Mental Ray)??
