@Bobbyboy532 no as long as you cast the spell you have as long as the description for the spell says to kill the target some people may vary depending on you skill in conjuration some people might be 60 some might be 120 it depends :)

if u cant get gems that easy if youre cheap or if u cant find the gem again, would u stick to more charges? is charges really hard to regain after wasting it all? is the damage worth a few charges? can u get soul gems through killing the people? if u can, then thats a good excuse for low charges right?

@Bobbyboy532 that is completely up to u me i prefer more damage and less charge but its your choice charges shouls shouldnt be hard to gain as long as you keep filling soul gems and using them to recharge your weapon no killing humaniods(bandits, orcs, kajit,etc) does not fill soul gems their is a soul gem that does get filled but i dont want to spoil anything as it is a awesome quest and youll thank me for not telling you the only thing i can tell u is get the black star :D

whats the deal with using a fortify enchant potion for weapons? hoow do u get that potion? where do u buy grand soul gems? the fortify puts the weapon to capture when kill right? is that better than the magic way with a limited time? or does it use less charge? theres magic soul trapping but u have a weapon to do that so which is which? is the magic for taking the soul and the weapon to just kill?

@Bobbyboy532 well if you go to any alchemy store you can buy potion but its better if you make them since their really expensive(look on wikipedia for ingredients on what potions your looking to make) as for grand soul gems any court mage and general store should have them as for your other questions i should have already answered them in your previous comment if you have anymore questions reply back :)

so to charge u need to rb the weapon/something with petty gems and to make a very useful weapon/stuff u need a grand gem. the thing that confuses me is the way to capture them. earlier i saw it said it takes 300 seconds before u cant capture the soul but u said 60 and do u have to use that spell or could u put that spell inside a weapon cuz i saw another tutorial where u put that in a bow and it kills the animal/person and took its soul. im basically asking is that magic spell the only way 2get?

@Bobbyboy532 you can charge them with any gem the charge from a petty gem depends on what gem you have put on your weapon for example-- if i have a weapon i enchanted with a grand soul gem and recharge it with a petty soul gem its not going to charge that gem much maybe 10-20% so the bigger the gem the more charge you give your weapon. and yes you can capture souls if you have the the soul trap enchantment on your weapon it works the same way hope i helped reply if you have more questions

@StraightMusic100 its the "favorite" feature they added all you do is pick whatever item you want to favorite in your inventory by highlighting and clicking "Y" or "Triangle" and it puts it in your favorites, once its in your favorites all you do is push "UP" on the directional pad and it brings up your favorites list, you can favorite potions, armor, weapons, food, etc hope this helps :)

@JCXtremee im not sure what your asking? a petty soul gem is the cheapest gem you can put on a weapon and it will run out of charge the fastest. to recharge it you can use any soul gem you want but use them wisely :)

So... you trap souls using soul gems and an enchanted weapon, then you use the filled soul gem to enchant a weapon. is that right? Then I expect an enchanted weapon does more damage?

@MeGaHaCkErZzZ no to trap a soul u need an empty soul gem (because without one the soul has no where to go and you dont capture it) once you have that cast the soul trap spell on an the right enemy for the gem your using(refer to the video for samples on enemies) then once the spell is casted kill the enemy and the soul should be captured. It dosent matter what you kill the enemy with you dont need to use an enchanted weapon reply back if have more questions

@hospiciano1 no you give them to a necromancer in winterrun he combines six of them and makes you a gem for a small price idk how much i forgot, also if you want to know how to get there the guy at the whiterun stables that will take you there for 50 gold so u dont have to walk there and fight all the trolls...unless you want to :D if this didnt answer your question reply back
