Good question. It's radically different from the Spirit of Texas campaign songs (available on the NMSA) even though WTVF shortly switched from this interim "We Share the Spirit" campaign which was between the "Friends You Can Turn To" and "Spirit of Texas" campaigns; interesting to note that they didn't have campaign songs/promos when they switched to the "Spirit of Texas." Their "We Share the Spirit" graphic remained unchanged.
is that spuds mckenzie being carried down the sidewalk at :30?

WTVF CBS NewsChannel 5 of Nashville, TN that promo of "We Share the Spirit of 5" instead of The Spirit of Tennessee.

that's _on_ 5, not of 5.
by far my favorite news music ever. i would love to get my hands on clean, high quality copies of the opens and other cuts.

Isn't that somewhat related to the CBS promo of the same name?

KMBC had the "sprit" graphic in '83!!!
They were the first!!!
Then WFAA had the graphics a year later, then WTVF in '86.

It does strike a resemblance to "Share the Spirit of CBS" from the network 1986-87 season.
Three differences though:
1) It added the "We" in "Share the Spirit."
2) It is different than "The Spirit Of...on" music from TM Productions, even though WTVF used the music at their newscast theme.
3) Far different that "The Spirit Of..." promos seen on WFAA and KHOU.
WTVF somehow linked "Share the Spirit of CBS" to the promos, even though there was no custom version of the network's promo song.
