  • I loved the Saks 'We Are All The Things You Are' commercial of the 1980's. I recall it ran during Falcon Crest! Watching it now reminds me of recent JCPenney or Sears ads. It appears from that ad that Saks was trying to appeal to middle-class shoppers during those years but likely abandoned that idea since I don't recall Saks running ads like that after 1882. Poor Saks: parent companies have bought and sold it more than a cheap vegas hooker since that ad aired in 1982.

  • Gauche by today's standards. There isn't a need for a Saks television commercial. They should promote themselves through fashion shows and sponsorship of high quality events.

  • Just about every one of those became bargain store brands. I don't think a single one is sold at Saks now.

  • I really wish that Saks would run again the tv ad that ran one Christmas - it featured the "we are all the things you are" music and showed people wearing Saks clothes enjoying Christmas activities.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting this commercial on YouTube! I was 12 in 1982 when this came out and I never forgot this jingle! Cheesy or not I absolutely love it! Vidal Sassoon put a commercial out around the same time and I always liked that jingle too.

  • This is so funny...you would never think that a store as classy as Saks to have a jingle this cheesy, much less a jingle period.

I also love how these outfits scream "Dynasty".

  • Thank you for posting this! People think I am making this old Saks jingle up
