I had a giant carp break my 20 lb test line once when I was 12. Saw him turn sideways in the sunlight right at the bank, then he took off like a rocket and snap when my line.
I hear you, Tim! I was dying for my bow and an arrow w/a fishing head on it! At least 3-4 of them, and they were taking turns taunting us, floating easily at the surface, the submarining back to the bottom. At least one was MASSIVE! Oh well, next time. Thanks for the comment! Peace.
Taunting you? Did the evil leprechaun lend his mythical holy grail stove to one of the fish? "Here, stovie-stovie-stovie, come and snatch it from my fin if you can..!" lol
We had a blast, Big Truck! My nephew is a great kid, and the area we were was at it's peak, both in flora and fauna. We saw deer by the dozens, turkey, bear, hundreds of hummingbirds (along with many other species of bird), chipmunks, fisher-cats, ....... Let's just say it was sweet....lol! Thanks for the comment! Peace.
Josh that was one of the best videos I've seen. there is nothing better than spending time in the outdoors with someone you love. I would have loved to see his face when he caught that beautiful little brookie. May you guys have plenty more to come.... ED
I have to admit it was better on the full screen! Wonderful place and so much beauty. Children tend to be a handful but the memories you gave him will last a life time! You must be proud to be the one there when he caught his first Brookie! Great video Joshua! 5/5
I am so proud of him. He has some excessive energy issues, but was a great kid who listened when I told him to do something. A handful, yes; unmanageable, no, not by a long shot. You should have seen the look on his face when he pulled in that first brookie! Thanks for the comment, Drak! Peace.
Sure is, man! For my nephew's first time going for trout, I thought this would be a great area. He did awesome, actually out-fishing me by 2 trout (16 to 14 over 3 days)! I am very proud of him, and I hope this was a good memory for him. Thanks for the comment! Peace.

Thanks, man! Roan Mt. is gorgeous, with a tight-knit residential area about 3/4 the way up. Very quaint! Peace.

That's a beautiful place. I thought of moving there a few years ago. I probably never will, but it is lovely.
