I had or still have some of these comics. I never thought about the connection between the civil rights movement and the explosion we saw of female superheroes in the 1970's I have fond memories of many of them especially Storm, Christie Love and Ms. Marvel, nice job!

The samples were enough to tell that their debut album is a masterpiece; in an alternate universe it would've been reissued as a 35th anniversary edition.
