@T3Y56 Its 2GB. I am able to have like 300 pictures, 20 videos, and like 20 songs without even using half of the memory, so yeah its big. And if you need more, you can just buy a larger (4gb, 8gb, or 16gb) SD card and put that into the phone
@ROFLitZjEffReY 3g should be automatic in a blackberry. If your blackberry is 3g compatible and you are only getting EDGE or GSM, then you are in a coverage area that does not support t-mobile 3g
@ROFLitZjEffReY For a Blackberry, it's really A LOT. The same battery on other smartphones can bull really fast, but I use my Blackberry all day (text/internet/apps) and I can still manager to charge it once every two days. The battery should not be a concern unlike androids or the iphone
@ROFLitZjEffReY I know on the 3g there is gap between the keys so it looks like it would be easier to type, but I've used both phones and they both are the same after you get used to the typing style
@319johnny no need to say i am a dumbass moron everyone makes mistakes i dont think you are so bright that you are absolutely perfect think before you speak
@katsketch3 "think before you speak" thats ironic considering you ASSUMED it was a 9700. on top of that instead of saying "i think" you made your comment a statement which is why i called you a dumbass, moron.
@319johnny oh so just because i "assumed" it to be a 9700 you go calling me a dumbass? Do you think i am some specialist in bb's? yea i assumed it so what i know i made a mistake so are you going around youtube searching for people who assumed things and calling them a dumbass?
@katsketch3 well apparently you are a specialist considering you assumed it was a 9700. and no, i searched youtube for a 9780 unboxing until i saw someone with a retarded comment. as for the first remark should i repeat what i said in individual letters dumbass?
is this phone also a touch screen? just wanna know (just wanna know cause i dont wanna go in the O2 shop and touch the screen and people think im crazy) PARANOID!!
@Gusohyeah111 This is one of the best texting phones for its size. I was using T-mobile mytouch, sold it after 2 weeks because I typed too slow on it, and then switched by to blackberries. The keyboard makes it real easy to type fast and without looking
@jaylin3455 if you use wifi, are you charged anything to your bill? also, can you do like, a texting video on this phone? i've never had a blackberry, so i was just curious to see how the texting is on this phone
and i think the blackberry has a really fast texting keyboard. I know most people think its hard because the keys are so small compared to those of other smartphones, but they are well designed and seperated so even people with huge thumbs can type just fine. If you wanna see how it is, I'd suggest you go to your local electronic store like BestBuy and try typing on a sample phone
@musiclovelifex6 I actually had the mytouch for a week, however I currently use the Blackberry in this video. I think the mytouch is a very "fun" phone with the new android, the screen looks great, tons of apps and just the software is cool. However is had a couple of downsides: its pretty big to hold, if you aren't good with touch screen keyboards you aren't going to be good with this, and the battery runs out SOOOOO quick even with all the apps turned off.
@jaylin3455 gotcha.. i'm getting an upgrade soon and i've been looking for a phone i want.. i originally wanted to go with the mytouch 4g but im not really good with touch screen phones.. so is this phone a good phone to have?
@musiclovelifex6 if you need a physical keyboard and you are using T-Mobile, your best choice would be the Blackberry Bold 9780, for if you want someting less fancy, there is the BlackBerry Curve 3G
@jaylin3455 okay. i was thinking about getting the curve 3G, but the only thing i do not like about it is that it doesn't have flash. i really love this new blackberry. how much is the blackberry curve 3G/ blackberry 9780 with an upgrade?
@jaylin3455 kk. im not sure if the comment sent or not, but i basically said that i really love this blackberry.. i also was loooking at the curve 3G. do you need to pay any additional fees for having a blackberry? also, how much is the blackberry bold 9780 with an upgrade? how much is the curve 3G with an upgrade?
@musiclovelifex6 Umm nevermind what I just said. The blackberry 9780 is way better than the 3G because it has completely new software. The 3G is either free or 50 bucks depending on where you get it (T-Mobile vs Walmart vs Bestbuy), and the Bold is 149.99 at T-Mobile. There are just the standard upgrade fees, but thats for every phone you upgrade
@musiclovelifex6 I have been using blackberries for the last three years, switching to other phones and then switching back. Even though they don't look great or have touch screens, they are GREAT for typing and texting, very durible, don't crash or lag, and most important: Blackberries have THE best battery life of all smartphones out today. I use my phone heavily and I barely need to charge it daily.
In the end, if you use your phone alot, and you need a phone you can count on, get the BB
@rdjnapoli Well they are both the same material and design. I think the black looks a lot sleeker, especially with the shine. The only reason I got the white is because I had a black Blackberry for the last two years and wanted to try something new
@ballhawk210 The trackpad will never be a "color" per se since it's optical it requires light (LED) to work properly and if it's a dark color and not translucent the sensors would not be able to "see" your thumb and thus not work like it should.
I have the 9300, which has no flash for the camera. The specs look the same otherwise, plus it was free for tmobile. It should be running the OS6 in the future. Does anyone think it would be worth getting the 9780?
@ayannarucker That is true that it will have OS6, and it is also 3G capable. I guess the only advantage of the 9780 is the 5 megapixel camera which actually takes really nice pictures and a decent video quality
@DarkGamerrrr the lights are white, and they are just like the newer blackberry keyboards in that they automatically turn on when its dark, and turn off when its really bright out or when the phones idle
I think the both the black and the white look really sleek and stylish, the only reason I got the white is because my old BB was black and I wanted a change
@DarkGamerrrr and for the different models, the 9780 is only offered on T-Mobile in USA and torch on ATT, but if you had to choose between them, it would be a personal preference. They both are high-end Blackberries, use the newest 6.0 OS and have 5mp camera. If you text a lot, I'd suggest the bold for its slightly better keyboard. If you web browse a lot, get the torch with its touch screen with pinch-and-zoom web surfing. Also, the torch is quite heavier than the bold.
Nice
