You bet. Plus the Hualapi tribe do not have to rely on GAMBLING business to make their own living. The new resort will not only attract a lot of visitors but also provide many job and training opportunities for the next generation.
The Skywalk was not funded by the goverment, it was a private investor. I do not think this is any worse than the GCNP, there they've bolted railings to the cliffs to keep idiots from falling in, what about the Hotel, the Grand Canyon Railway, restuarants, and the acres of asphalted parking lots for the million+ visiters a year.

WOW! That just RUINS the beauty of the AWE of it. Annoying waste of money! What a sham! Lived in AZ,,,on the rez and loved the Canyons! Canyon Deshay was my fav because you can actually go way down in it...Hope that didnt ruin that one too. :(

It's extremely expensive to experience the walk. Hopefully one day they will bring the price down where more people can enjoy it.
