Expect that gun to "be lost" wink wink in the police evidence locker after the trial is over. That happened to a friend of mine. Just use a base $900 1911 or whatever that will get the job done.
Agree with you and MrAwesomeshot. Mr Ayoob is the real deal. We learned from him in the Police Academy I attended as a Deputy Sheriff. His philosophy is spot on - not only on the how and when of self defense for citizens, butcorrect use of deadly force for those of us in the LEO community as well.

One of the best books that I re-read a lot and almost know by heart by Massad Ayoob is, "In the gravest extreme." I believe anyone that wants/has a gun in their home or is going for their ccw, needs to read this book atleast once.
There was a case in Florida where an old man was attacked by a guy with a log in the woods. The old man killed the guy with a 10mm. The prosecutor in the trial said he "Used 10mm cop-killer ammo" Nobody contested that, His defense attorney didn't question a crazy term like that being randomly used. The guy got convicted. IN the mind of the dumb ass jury, a 10mm is a mm bigger than the scary 9mm. Try to tell guys with their tricked out ARs that appearance matters. They won't listen.

Yep, he's been a published gun writer for 40 years now. Everything he writes is based on logic and reason which is quite rare in the gun industry as most people base their arguments based on emotion with religious like-fervor.
For every 100 whack jobs on youtube theres 1 or 2 people who REALLY know what theyre talkin about. LEO, military, and some real instructors have channels on youtube. check out nutnfancy or hickock45. those guys know some stuff. And alot of other people are just sharing their opinions and impressions about the gear. Interesting. I will look into Massad's stuff. I live in Nevada, and in most cases being armed stops a event from happening. A few years back I was helping my lady friend move out of her ex boyfriends house and the asshole pulls a 25 auto Raven out on me. He didn't know I was armed with my Star Super B, so I played along till I was able to pull it out and before he knew it I had it foot from his face ready to go. He dropped it and ran out of his own home. It was rather scary, but funny to tell.

@FireArmsResQ I did a law term paper on self defense. My text book that year included Justice Scalias opinion about D.C. v. Heller (no handguns, long guns unloaded trigger locked & field stripped). I know a little off topic but you can't be held for having a loaded gun in your home & you CAN'T be prosecuted for something that is scientifically impossible.
When I do a follow up video on this I'll read the case where a guy who had to defend himself shot the intruder 5 times with a 9mm. Took 5 shots to stop the attacker. The 5 bullets penetrated and the autopsy report said the attacker was shot 10 times. I'll read that article word for word in the follow up to this video. This videos created good discussion.

@FireArmsResQ DA's don't care about proof, justice all they want is to get a conviction. Convictions lead to votes.. I remember when I was called to be a on a grand jury concerning pistol silencers. During our questioning we were asked about our position on handguns. Everyone asked before me were anti-gun. When I was asked, I told them I owned them, & was a life time member of the NRA, I was dropped from jury duty. The guy went to prison. In the jurist room I was hassled by the anti-gunners.
Lesson Learned: Only use "Double Action" firearms with a concealed hammer.

For every 100 whack jobs on youtube theres 1 or 2 people who REALLY know what theyre talkin about. LEO, military, and some real instructors have channels on youtube. check out nutnfancy or hickock45. those guys know some stuff. And alot of other people are just sharing their opinions and impressions about the gear. I found the holster i now own on youtube. it was just a regular dudes video but it worked for me. you just have to filter out the nonsense.

Interesting. I will look into Massad's stuff. I live in Nevada, and in most cases being armed stops a event from happening. A few years back I was helping my lady friend move out of her ex boyfriends house and the asshole pulls a 25 auto Raven out on me. He didn't know I was armed with my Star Super B, so I played along till I was able to pull it out and before he knew it I had it foot from his face ready to go. He dropped it and ran out of his own home. It was rather scary, but funny to tell.

I know a little off topic but you can't be held for having a loaded gun in your home & you CAN'T be prosecuted for something that is scientifically impossible.

When I do a follow up video on this I'll read the case where a guy who had to defend himself shot the intruder 5 times with a 9mm. Took 5 shots to stop the attacker. The 5 bullets penetrated and the autopsy report said the attacker was shot 10 times. I'll read that article word for word in the follow up to this video. This videos created good discussion.

During our questioning we were asked about our position on handguns. Everyone asked before me were anti-gun. When I was asked, I told them I owned them, & was a life time member of the NRA, I was dropped from jury duty. The guy went to prison. In the jurist room I was hassled by the anti-gunners.
