I really like Dan Hardy. He is a good fighter, but I think its unfair that he is still in the UFC. He lost 4 straight, and is still in the UFC while other guys lost 2 or 3 straight and got cut. No disrespect to Hardy, but I think its unfair that he is still in the UFC despite dropping 4 in a row.

@GSP4EVAH Maybe Dana felt guilty for hyping Hardy up too much. Hardy is a good advertisement for the UFC - likable guy, colourful character, trash talking etc. and I think Dana exploited that way too much instead of focussing on the actual fights. I'm sure most people would agree that he shouldn't have been given that title fight with GSP.

@1978deus yea. I don't think Hardy should have been given one either. His fight with Marcus Davis was a fight that should have gone to Davis. Also, hardy didn't defeat a former champion, or any other top 10 fighter at the time. I ike Hardy a lot, don't get me wrong.

I'm a big fan of Dan Hardy, and if it's true, what people are saying about him not getting cut I'm happy for him, cuz he's probably the only guy not wanting him to get cut, lol. But honestly the guy should be cut. It's only fair to the other guys who have been cut after 3 losses. But it's Dana's world, so he can do whatever the hell he wants!

They should cut Hardy, not cause I don't like him or because he lost 4 in a row, well that too, but mainly cause listening to him now, and watching they way he fought, he seems to have lost a lot of confidence. He should get cut, and fight 2 or 3 fights in a less competitive organization, get a few wins, just so he can boost his confidence and motivation back up, and bring him right back. Again, nothing against him, I just think it would be the best for him, that's all.

I think it would be GOOD for Hardy to get cut. Or at least sent to SF for a few fights. I know UFC fans/Dana vilify tune-up fights (in an attempt to come off tougher than boxing), but Hardy might need one or two to build his confidence back up.

its hardy who shot the take down not lytle. lytle wanted to stand the whole fight.

hardy complains that no one wants to stand with him so lytle did and hardy couldnt handle it so he shot for the takedown.

then after wussing out with the takedown attempt he got submitted for his trouble.

@signboyy Because he figured he was going to finish the fight after he rocked lytle the first take down attempt. If Dan knew how to block that overly used right hook that Lytle was always throwing, Dan would have won, yeah Lytle contacted Dans face a lot more due to the over hand right but when hardy connected, Lytle was stumbling every time. Its whatever though, still the best fight i've seen in a long time. I dont care who won or lost.

Dan and his camp should have done their homework and came prepared for that. @voltini1982 This seems to be a problem with many mid to low tier fighters these day. Their game plan is usually, "Imma knock him out" or "Imma take him down and sub or GnP him" That's not a game plan, that's a wish. I think this is why top fighters, like GSP, keep winning. They come in with an actual game plan, as opposed to just coming in with a single goal.

I like Hardy, he's a personable guy, does his best to respond to people on twitter etc. He's an exciting fighter too, has some definite holes in his game he needs to work on but I'm glad he hasn't been cut.

Hardy took some solid punches from chris- must admit im disappointed dan went for the take down with a minute to go but was more desperation although i think the fight was close so still think he may of had a chance, people can hate dan all they want and i know he has big holes in his game but i still got up at 2am in the morning to watch him fight! i cant say that for alot of the other fighters, well done to chris too- total respect!

I liked Hardy before this whole fight, but not anymore. Dude gets a hand picked opponent, then practically manipulates him and the media so that Lytle will be looked down upon if he tries to take it to the ground or clinch. Then, after losing the entire fight with Chris standing, the dude breaks the gentlemans agreement and goes for a takedown?! What were you going to do down there Dan?
