I'm really glad they started using Ten Little Bullets again for Gavroche's death instead of a reprise of Little People. Little People is a really cute song, and Gavroche's death is anything but cute- he needed something more serious and dark like Ten Little Bullets to convey the sadness of his death, and the cause that he's dying for.

Only Adam Searles can play Gavroche perfectly. And when an american -especially Nick Jonas- plays it, it's pitiful to watch

@cbbman12 What's wrong with him except for the fact that he is Nick Jonas who obviously have a bias against and the fact that he's American? He can't help that he's American, and frankly, he has a great voice without the accent. He got great reviews as Gavroche back in 2003. Some Gavroche's are truly horrible, they can't sing, they don't even try to act, and they have no energy. I suggest you look up some of them before you get so harsh against Nick Jonas.

@ShaiHuludisCool So you definitely favor British Gavroche's? I really liked Braden Danner (OBC Gavroche) and Obviously I like NIck Jonas. I think a lot of people prefer British Gavy's, but I don't probably because I heard an American recording first and then the first time I heard a British recording, the accent really bugged me (it doesn't any more though).

@njishottlikeatamale Yeah, I definitely do. It's just something about that cockney accent - even though in reality French people neither speak English nor have cockney accents. Among the foreign language Gavroches my favorite is the one from the 1991 French Recording.

@cbbman12 Exactly! Only Adam Searles can make Gavroche's part of "Look Down" truly FLOW, like a song. Likewise Phillip Quast is the only one who can make "Stars" truly flow as well. Everybody else who sings it makes it sound choppy.

That being said, while I wasn't impressed with Jonas' rendition of "Look Down" his "Little People" actually wasn't that bad. I've heard some atrocious Gavroches and while Jonas isn't an Adam Searles or even the kid from the Complete Symphonic, he's not atrocious

I'm glad I found somewhere with the lyrics, I couldn't understand them on other recordings.

I must admit it's weird hearing Gavroche without his accent xD I live in England, so I've only ever seen it at the West End.

@TweekerMcCormick Yeah, a lot of people have a hard time getting used to it XD I heard American versions before I heard West End recordings, so I thought it was weird to hear Gavroche WITH the accent! But then I got used to it after hearing several different ones :)

@geniirena Well... He is American, and although it's not unheard of, it's rather difficult for American children to master a English cockney accent. At any rate, it's better that he didn't sound British, considering Les Mis takes place in France, not England. Although the accents can sound very good, they really aren't necessary.

@haybay29 No, that was Diana Kaarina, the girl who played Eponine. No doubt that Nick could sing that high, but his little voice couldn't be heard above all the adults, and some peoples mic's were turned up (like Diana's) so that their solo lines could be heard.
