It means that in the original uncut version of this video /watch?v=RXCEdrnaFlY at 2:26, some images of tanks, cannons, bombing air fighters etc. are shown before the scene with the soldier and his son, and the version you uploaded is a censored one, probably made for some TV channel which didn't want to show these.

@Professor6871 Yes indeed, the fighting section has been removed. Why? I edited this film in 1975, it was Ok to include it then. It loses all the impact and sense of the song without it. Have we all gone soft?

Now, at my age, I recognize all the sacrifices that my Mom made raising us alone and providing us so we can have (not a lot), but the necesary to be happy and good and productive human beings.
