Hello I am Patrick from Caliban and you are here live in Soest in our studio to record the new album The Awakening that at the end of may will be published at roadrunnerrecords. Yeah the production process is almost complete and we are actually good in time. Next weekend starts our European Tour (quasi am 19ten xd) and how you can see we are in the wounderful Soest on the land. and so on......=D my english isnt the best i know xd

I'm dutch so german isnt that hard for me,

still it too bad they do it in german, finnish bands and stuff also do it in (quite crappy, but still) english, germany is a well educated country so a little english wont harm anyone.

so maybe this video wasn't meant to ever hit the internet, or maybe they never thought it'd get as much -international- attention as is does? maybe it was just a contribution for a local or regional tv show? you'll never know, and neither will i. :)

I've always wondered why germen bands speak in their language, but write songs in English.

It's all about mental limitations... there are people capable of more than one language. No, I mean like - really. ;)

And also, if you wish to share a thought - why not share it in a language everyone understands? Bet more people understand Caliban's lyrics against, say, Finntroll's...

As I said, it's all about mental limitation. Because there are also people out there, who're not even capable of managing only one language without making mistakes.

But then - they get thumbs down. ;)
