  • I've only played the SNES version (sort of a purist) but I had no idea of this version and I'm glad I found it.

  • I actually heard the Brawl version of this before any of the others. Having heard the original (SNES) version, I like the Brawl version a small bit better for just plain listening. However, the original is better to listen to while studying IMO.

  • STICKERBUSH SYMPHONY IS COOL IN ANY FORM

  • NEED TO FIND MY GBA AND LOAD UP DKC 2 RIGHT NOW JUST FOR THIS MUSIC

  • One of the best themes on video game history, if not the best along with Web Woods

  • I agree that this is indeed the most greatest video game song ever! The GBA version does have a serene feel to it and when I play Bramble Blast or Bramble Scramble, I would pause the game in order to listen to the wonderful, yet blissful music of this magnificent tune. I like both the SNES and the GBA versions equally, so for me, there is no comparison. Squawks really sure knows how to kill zingers! Oh and before I forget, 4 people that disliked this landed on thorns and cried about it. LOL

  • @ZeldaFan01 Me Too. Go to the Code screen & insert "ONETIME" to unlock the music select screen.

  • @GigaysTheManly Thanks for the info! I shall do that next time! I still have my GBA game so I'll give it a go when I am busy working on my artwork!

  • Serious Monkey Business > SNES > Brawl > GB > GBA

  • I Love this song *-*

  • Comment removed

  • No way you could possibly ruin this song

  • ???

    I

    I

    V

i hated my comment i have comment on [blocks my self]

  • Ami the only one who thinks that this song sounds better in the gba version? I don't know why...maybe it's because i am used to this version, because i only played this game on the gba...

  • @BeeryGamer Well, it seems as if the choice of sounds that were available for Rare to sample by the time that they decided to do remakes of the Donkey Kong Country games for the GBA expanded, though of course, the GBA's sound processor was considered to be inferior to the SNES's sound processor. To me, tracks like Stickerbush Symphony, Kannon's Claim, and Forest Interlude sounded better on the GBA, though tracks like Krook's March and Crocodile Cacophony sounded better on the SNES.

  • ... My ears.

  • guys stop hatting GBA

  • @gameaventer11 Who's giving it hats?

  • The funny thing about the gba port is that most part of the songs were changed, but this was left untouched.

  • I love this version of this song because it sounds more peaceful and soothing than the SNES version. PS I own DKC2 for GBA

  • Order of best music to lousy

    Snes Version ;)

    GB Version :)

    GBA Version :(

    Brawl Version ;(

  • brawl is the best

  • @MrKing451POWS brawl's is nice but it doesn't back that surrealness that the SNES and GBA versions have..

  • I love this song! <3

  • Best for me is

    1.SNES

    Then....

    2.Brawl

    Then...

    3.GBA

Squawks is my favorite! I love using him!

  • this song is the bg music for the level swamp in subspace emissary mode

  • I agree with you

    Danielrulz00

  • thank you so much

  • Not bad.

  • Fucking best one yet.

  • gba is the best

  • This version is a bit more soothing than the SNES version.

As for the Brawl version, it's a different take on it, more like an acoustic version. It is interesting to hear it that way. I don't like nor dislike that version, though.

  • best to worst

    SNES

    GBA

    GB

    brawl

  • I'd say

    SNES

    GB

    GBA

    ...

    Brawl

    But that's just me.

  • @Danielrulz00 yeah the brawl one doesnt sound original enough

  • @TheYoshiGamer the Brawl vesion just sucks

  • @Danielrulz00 I dont think so , the Brawl version is just completely different from the ohter ines.. Its a really fresh song u know.. The other versions are kinda surreal and dark touched..

  • @Ihatecoldnnnirror Yeh, ur probably right. By the way this is danielrulz00. I wrote that comment

  • @Danielrulz00 IMO

    SNES

    GB

    GBA

    Brawl (that ones just lame!!)

  • @Danielrulz00 I think so,too.

  • @Danielrulz00

Does the best start off from the bottom or the top?

  • @HyperSonicXtreme I'm danielrulz00 which i was hacked a year ago and best starts from top. SNES because it feel happy, GBA because it feels happy, GB is not too good, brawl is horrible :)

  • @DwarfDaPluto i personally love all versions of this song... the brawl version felt like an energetic love song in the sunset. gb was a good 8-bit version... dont take faves with this song. theyre all awesome in there own way.

  • this version of the song is much more relaxing. compared to it's SNES counter part it's alot nicer to the ear making it better. some of the GBA versions were just better like this and lock jaw saga

  • The best video game song ever (even the GB version too).

  • Agreed

  • Right on, the both SNES and GBA versions are the best video game songs :)

  • @Mippish Only one question, does donkey kong country returns beat the second one, or does the second one still retain the title of best DKC game ever.

  • this version brings back different memories than the snes version. i still love this version but NOTHING will ever be able to top the snes version

  • i prefer the snes version, but i do like the 1# part of this version(o,1 till 0,20)better then the snes .

  • I love Squawks!

  • I love both the SNES and GBA versions of this song. Both versions have there ups and downs.

The SNES version had better overall sound due to it's hardware.

The GBA version is just as good as the SNES vserion despite it's inferior sound. I feel that the GBA version is more peaceful than the SNES version.

  • your right about the best to worst

  • The fact that they'll never be able to make music that way... Yeah. It's all too perfect now :l

  • My personal opinion is that the original SNES version sounds cool/mysterious, the Brawl version is upbeat and very emotionally stimulating/pleasing, this versions, however, I have no idea what it is or has, the GBA version is my favorite

  • The gba version stands up well to the original, as it has the same feel.

  • this song makes me giggle <3

  • brawl version is best b/c it is orchestrated

  • Are you kidding? Its pretty horrible compared to the SNES version.

  • Nah, they're both good. However, they're very different. Brawl's version fits the game, as it's more upbeat and fast.

  • I agree. The Brawl version has a fast beat and it pumps me up, ready to Brawl. And the original versions calms you down.

  • I wouldn't say horrible.

  • That doesn't make it the best. That just makes it something out of the ordinary. It's really good, but just because it's orchestrated doesn't mean it's better.

  • Yeah there is some 8bit music i prefer over the arranged versions of them.

  • The 8-BIT version of this is quite pleasent too.

  • never heard it

  • Type in " Donky Kong Land 2 Bramble Blast". It's very nice sounding. I still prefer this version, though

  • Can I download this song?

  • The brawl remix with this song is awesome as well as this

  • i prefer the beginning part of this song unlike in the snes song!!!

  • i like squawks,too

  • If there's one thing that I have to say about the GBA version of this theme is that, compared to the SNES version, it's more serene, while the SNES's version is more surreal. I learned a long time ago that each person (myself included) has their own personal tastes in music. Personally, I prefer the smoother, more serene and varied GBA version's music over the SNES version's music.

  • I agree with you. Stickbrush Symphony, Kannon's Klaim, and Haunted Chase are the only themes on the GBA that outrank the SNES themes.

  • marioluigi is right but the snes version of stickerbush symthony is better

  • So you like the different GBA arrangement of this song? How is it more smoother? Is it because the GBA has less beats than the SNES version of this song? Why does Squawks only "squawk"?

  • The GBA version is less ominous than the SNES version.

  • Like less dramatic, you mean?

  • More like less dark or spooky.

  • Well that was how the gameplay/stage was.

  • Maybe it gave some chills. But those were the chills of greatness. Which makes it atmospherical and orchestrated. Not hating on the GBA version.

  • No matter what the reason, the SNES version is way better.

  • But yet, it's too hard to compare. Is this version using Piano notes? I dunno.
