  • @edarotag84 Based around the theme "Voices of peace in harmony," the choir shared a message of values, hope and unity through music with thousands of concert-goers, young adults, youth and children throughout Taiwan and Hong Kong.

  • Paul clarified the meaning: "When the fulness of time was come, God sent forth his Son to redeem them that were under the law." (Gal. 4:4-5.) Thus, the "fulness of time" apparently referred to the time that man would be redeemed, which was completed at the resurrection of the Redeemer.

  • Service joy: "This is what it's all about!" exclaimed one commenter about "Mormon Image: Joy On A Cattle Truck." See this joyous photo depicting "a group of mostly single Latter-day Saints ... are on their way to volunteer in a remote Guatemalan village in the Polochic Valley -- one of the poorest in the world."

  • Inside the temple, some rooms will be reconfigured, but the core building design will remain the same. As has been the case in renovations of other temples, old electrical, heating and plumbing systems will be replaced with modern, energy-saving equipment. Other notable improvements include underground parking and a complete re-landscaping of the temple block with a major water feature.

  • Elder Walker went on to explain that the temples entire exterior will be reshaped with new stone and art glass. The entrance to the temple will also be moved from the west side to the east side, where it will face Washington Boulevard.

    Your Patriarchal Blessing

Your Patriarchal Blessing, Liahona, Feb. 2010, 6

  • A question teachers should ask themselves is, "Do you know what your students are going to do?" he said. "Especially when teaching youth and children, most of the preparation time ought to be spent in thinking about what the students are going to do during the lesson."

  • When preparing to teach, "Think first about the ones you're teaching and second about the topic you're teaching," he said.

As a mission president, he advised the elders and sisters in his charge to bend their teaching toward the particular needs of the investigator. "That changes teaching a lot," he said.

  • The question elicited multiple responses, after which the teacher gave his own thoughts. "It was obvious he had studied, prayed and worked until he had something to share himself, but he didn't want to do that until he had allowed other people to share their own insights about this very basic principle of the gospel," Brother Osguthorpe observed.

  • I can see the dead look in this guys eyes. He has been brainwashed into submission and not brain washes the Mormon young into giving up their virginity to the Elders of the Church wanting multiple brides.

  • He told of a high priest group instructor faced with the challenge of teaching the topic of baptism to a group of seasoned priesthood holders steeped in Church leadership experience. His approach was to throw the question out to the class: "What would you teach this group about baptism?"

Doesn't change the fact that you are a retard. LOL

  • Sister Marie Hafen, Elder Hafen's wife, shared this sentiment in her short address.

"I don't know the meaning of all things," she said, "but I do know that God loveth his children."

Other "mountains" in the gospel are the doctrines of premortal life and eternal nature of the soul, the Mormon rejection of original sin and the hallowed, the nature of the Godhead, and the elevated way the church views Eve.

  • "How (Joseph Smith) received it doesn't ultimately matter to us very much," he said.

Elder Hafen said the "mountain" that is of most importance is the fact that all people are children of a loving, concerned father in heaven.

So long as a person has that tenant down pat, they'll be able to explore more challenging ideas, and even deal with unanswered questions.

  • Elder Hafen said there is much discussion out there regarding the methods through which Joseph Smith translated ancient scripture such as the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price and the Bible. That's all fine and good so long as the questioner is mainly focused on the works themselves, the great mountains of eternal knowledge they contain, and what that knowledge means in the lives of God's children rather than on the specifics of the revelatory process.

  • Oaks was a tool!

  • yeah, you wicked take the truth to be hard!

    hope that sounds familiar!

  • They married in 1944, when Bailey was home on leave from the Army. Soon after, Bailey was sent to England.

On (D-Day) plus 18, he went into France, his widow said. He was wounded by shrapnel in his right wrist. He was called again to serve in the Korean War.
