I will stand in a bucket, take hold of the handle, pull hard on it and lift myself up.
The height I reach is only governed by how hard I pull on the handle.
That was my understanding of physics at age 4.
And it wasn't bad.
If I weigh X, but I can pull more than X, then the bucket should rise should it not?
The problem is all of the forces I'm imparting are between the bucket and the handle. No matter how hard I pull, the best I will ever achieve is breaking the handle off the bucket.
An engine inhales and exhales much like a living organism.
The notion that a specialized air pump, (turbo) can gain sufficient energy to do any useful work from being powered by the expelling exhaust gases of an engine is fanciful.
Hold your hand over the exhaust pipe of any running car. The pressure is minimal.
Then to go on and say now we are going to utilize that energy that the engine exhales, through technology, to help the engine inhale more effectively, is plain ridiculous.
@MaysTG13 It is, but I guess when you got 4 turbos going at the same time it sounds like a supercharger. This car has some unknown Mods done to it soo it may not sound the same as other veyrons.
hey thats bondurant! my friend colten mcgoverns dad works there as the chief instructor. we race the go carts on that track all the time. and nice vid
I've raced on this track. It blows my mind how quickly the Veyron covers this. Normally it's only the superkarts that manage to change direction and speed so quickly.
The grandsport looks so much chunkier than the standard veyron. I cant believe how quickly they make the original look a bit old lol (cant believe im saying this) . When you see the new special editions ..the LED lights, the grills , the extra curve on the bonnet area , just looks that so much better.
When I took the course in the Mustangs Bob had we lapped the very same track 1/2 second faster than the Veyron. Does anyone recognize the driver?? Oh and the shade thing is cool. This course is part of the Firebird raceway complex out side of Phoenix in Chandler Az.
Do not take the courses in the summer. This place rocks and is worth every 1000 ya spend.
Not one thing you said has been verified by an independent source. It seems to be hard for you fans to understand that what your reading is add print dude.
The new health care plan includes a clause to kill grandma, that kind of shit, get it?? Seek out independent testing results before you put you heart and soul in. The Germans are the best at it by the way.
remember the 180 mph M5 BWW, the 11.0 quarter mile Porsche 911. Believe it when you see it.
No I used the comparison to illuminate the marginal difference between a lightly modified street car and an exotic.
I just appreciate an entrepreneurial effort by a bunch of enthusiasts more than the cash flexing by a major corp. You seem to adhere to the corporate media approach to high performance. Yell loud enough and people will believe you. Horseshit, we all know that direct competition is the crucible from which legends are forged. The Veyron is an amazing, wallflower.
I am well have modified car can beat exotic. Lightly modify car means not stock. That is the point. The driver also plays factor in that equation meaning the adjustment of skill when switching from one car to another. Interesting enough, your comparison showed how a two tons car can be on part with modded car. =)
I just adore Bugatti Veyron, but I have to admit that it sounds just terrible. Especially from the inside, especially this particular car in this video. In terms of sound Lambo and Ferrari are just billion miles ahead. There are no supercar that sounds worse than this Veyron from the inside.

So you went to use Mustang with racing configuration (like you mentioned on other post) just to to compare about stock car car like Veyron?

I'm not impressed with the veyron . For the 1+mil price tag It should at least be able to transform into a boom box haha
