you play the D on fourth trilling to the pitch of an Eb Eric Clay The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Bass Trombonist in Australia has a book out which explains this. you alternate from fourth position to 6th position until the fake sound is heard then that gives the intention that you are trilling a semitone. look at my video I have up here I do it and sounds fine. the sound quality of the recording is crap tho
is it me or did it seem like he exadurated the ending? At least as far as the triplets. Don't get me wrong, I loved the performance! Just thought that was alot more than poco aceleroso if you catch my drift.
Im a sophmore in high school and am taking this solo to the TSSEC. I just have one question to ask.... how should the trill be executed? I believe he played the 4th position D to the F, but many argue that the F doesnt go with the key. Don't know exactly what's right. Can someone answer?
ooooh, very nice. i liked your cadenza, almost too fast to handle but you pulled it off nicely. very mellow tone. i feel at some times you could use more attack.
omg.. can i hire this accompanist!

Very good. Great sound, extremely in sync with your accompianist, however, some of the rythms got a bit loopy....but it was very very good!
