  • Kissan paska=Cat's poop.

    AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH!!!!

  • @NoneMad Is that what the ad on TV was?

  • @Zaunstar No that's what the female in the boat is talking about.

  • @NoneMad Oh, that's funny! Hah! I wonder why that topic would come up on a boat.

  • Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian are all North Germanic languages. Finnish isn't even an Indo-European language; it's Uralic. It's probably absorbed a few Swedish words into the language, since a sizable minority of people in Finland speak Swedish as their first language and it's even an official language there alongside Finnish (it was a part of Sweden before Russia). But even so, it's still very different. and yeah, it's pretty wacky.

Anyway, if you happen to see this, was it nice there?

  • @Gunderson002 Oh yeah, it was very nice there. I actually knew all of that about the language already, but thanks. *:-) My grandfather (morfar), was born and raised in Stockholm.

  • The land of saunas !

  • You have been in Finland? Cool.( I don't see many reasons to come here though :P )

  • Yes I have! Well, it was part of a Scandinavia tour, and my grandmother's parents were from there as well. Their last name was "Petaja".

  • :D What does the finnish language sound to a person who cannot understand it?

    care to enlighten me? :)

  • Gosh, where do I even start? It sounds like nothing I can describe. Swedish, my wife things sounds like the tweeting of a bird. I sometimes describe Finnish as being like tikkapikkapullaatuupakuppa... and that's just one word!!! Hah!

  • Ahahaha, finnish it not a strange language :D

Atleast I don't think so :P. Don't you find like japanese or arabic being more difficult to get the grasp of ? ;D

  • I live here too. =]

  • Cool! I enjoyed Finland, though I wasn't there long. Everyone in my maternal grandmother's family was from Finland. Their family name was "Petaja", or roughly "Pine" in English. I hope to go back there again sometime.

  • I live in Finland :)
