  • I love this lady.

  • The first one is a faster version of Ray Price's City Lights, and the second is Hank Williams Sr.'s Mansion on the Hill.

  • What is the name of this second tune? Someone know? So beautiful

  • I love this ...wish the volume was perfect. What a steel player. Great song!!!

  • WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW GREAT GIRLS POWER.SHE IS GOOD!!! LINDSEY

  • sarah you are brill !!! we love you in wales

  • Pretty sure she's using an e-bow in the quiet verse. By the way I've just bought a Carter Starter and have a long way to go :-)

  • @good luck on your carter starter played on one on time sure am glad i bought a rains sd10 instead you will can tell the dif righty away what part of the country you fromCorbystarlet3381

  • @rainsplayer - yes the carter starter is just that, a starter pedal steel. So far it's doing the job for me, stays in tune and if I can get my head around it well enough I will one day lash out and buy a 'real' steel! I'm from Drouin, Australia, about 100 km east of Melbourne.

  • Hi All! The name of the song Sahar is plying is called "The key is in the Mailbox"!

  • thats funny. i come here to remember my granpa. he also traveled and played the steel. rip curley

  • Awesomely talented lady ... great music -she can make it shine like a diamond..thanks for sharing her with us

  • the woman is an awesome pedal steel player. she makes the guitar speak, and applys it well to country standards.

  • What a treat to see this amazing lady play!

  • Great player. Understand she is touring with Van Morrison. Sure hope she sticks with pedal steel...

  • I'm an old man and if I could have anything else in this life that I wanted it would be to meet this fantastic lady. Awesome talent.

  • The title of this fantastic performance is

"City Lights". My god she is absolutely the

    best I have ever heard

  • thanks for posting i also Love steel guitars

  • I love steel guitars!!.....beautiful sexy sound!!

  • she is the best

  • I've been looking around a bit, and I didn't find a place where I could buy an album... snif... Help ?

  • Hey, I want to reverse that thunbs down on bigge0369 my mouse rolled over it and I really wanted to give it a very high THUMBS UP, she is fantastic.

  • man i wish i found this before my grandpa past he would have loved it. he was a great picker also. played for bob wells

  • Amazing, First steel lap guitar player i have heard, and all i know is now im going to go and Buy a one, Hopefully 4 years of blues and rock blues will come in handy! :D

  • FAN-DAM-TASTIC!!! Put her up there with Paul Franklin! Not only is her technique top shelf, but the extra added subtleties put her over the top. Why there is not more of Sarah on here is beyond me.

  • I think she is the best Igive her too thumps up

  • Oh yeh she is also currently doing a Van Morrison tour!!! any other stupid remarks regarding her or her bands lack of professionalism anybody????? Get real.

  • Ok peeps, Sarah is a class act, she was in our recording studio laying down steel tracks when she was 14 years of age!! Buddy Emmons removed his picks and layed them on her steel while she was showcasing at the peddle steel convention in Oxford England when she was in her 20's!! The drummer is her ex hubby and he teaches drums [not the drunken style either!!]

the guitarist siiting down is Nobby Cree [not albert lee]and the lead player is a new band member who is smoking hot young gun.

  • at this video Sarah play very very well. She have a nice style ,I know that because i am a steel player since 29 years GREAT Sarah !Probably you are the best steel player in your country

  • she is the best steel guitar player i ever seen beleive me tizoune89

  • I know some of the "macho" guys out there might disagree with me, but I think she's a "top flight" steel player in every way. I've heard her and seen her live enough times to form that opinion. To me she's the "real deal", maybe a little show busy, but has the ability to back it all up. Marc Trainor.

  • the song i belive is walk me to the door

  • Its City Lights isnt it Jacie?...Mickey

  • This Lady has what it takes to be an awesome Nashville steel guitarist......Keep up the awesome work lil Lady!!!!!

  • Great job on this oldie...You make it look so easy!

  • AMAZING! AWESOME! And just 3 pedals and two (or three) knees!

  • The first song is a song written by Bill Anderson while he was in Commerce, Georgia in the early sixties. The song was then made popular by Ray Price. Second song is Mansion

    on the Hill.

  • The first song that is.

  • I believe the song she is playing is City Lights

  • yee ha !

  • outstanding !!!

wish the audio was better...anyone know how to get a better quality recording of this awesome musician ??

  • Yep - buy her CD's! :-)

  • What an awesome talent! Love ya Sarah.

  • Pretty sure the first tune is "City Lights" then "Mansion On A Hill"...its probably already been pointed out, I'm just too lazy to look.

  • I think this song is "The Key's In The Mailbox"Popular in the 60's Isn't great that there are steel players all over the world, not to many as pretty as this gal.

  • If its's the keys in the mailbox....then they're moanin'...at least that's how I know a great version by Buck Owens and the Buckaneers....but Sarah outplays their pedalsteelgitarist, thats for sure. Love this!!!

  • you must be kiddin` me...Buckaroos was Buck`s band and Tom Brumley was a steel player, so, when this girl is a decent player (there is thousands of players like her), she is not a match to Tom Brimley...sorry to pee on your cake

  • bealtiful bootys

  • OK guys, enough fighting, isn't that antithetical to music ?

Is that a Carter, and how many pedals and Knee levers, great player, great song,

  • She's working knee levers. I can't make out the pedals.

  • drtalkster is a wannabe. He never was a musician. He's never felt a groove, and wouln't know the difference between a shuffle and a straight beat.

  • if you're so great why isn't your name recognizable? I'm sure there's more people that have heard of Sarah than drtalkster the phantom drummer

  • You could use what little brains you have to make a decent post

  • Totunka, I believe it's Albert Lee on lead guitar. Whoever he is, he's very good. Another exquisite solo on "Mansion on the Hill." Just right, in my humble opinion.

  • It sounds like it may be Albert Lee on the guitar, playing tasteful backup and taking the lead ride following the piano on "City Lights." I'm absolutely dumbfounded that someone would show so little respect for a musician of Albert's caliber. All of Sarah's backup band are top-notch, letting her shine. What a fine steel guitar player! Cheers to Sarah and her bandmates!

  • I said the guy on the right doofus. And as a fellow musician I don't hear the tightness of this line up. Keyboard player didn't know when to come in, she had to give the 'nod' to the lead guitarist when to come in and the drummer (my specialty) plays "drunken style". The guy on the right (sitting down) looks like he's about to fall asleep. And WTF is he doing sitting down anyway???

  • Drtalkster, your "specialty" seems to be making derogatory, cutting, and disrespectful comments. That's unfortunate. Stop it! By the way, the guy sitting down on the right is playing his arse off, and that's something you just don't appreciate. If you are a fellow musician, stop sliming other musicians. Signed, Mr. Doofus (to you)

  • Are we watching the same video??? I've been a musician for over 30 years and know when to give credit or not. Who the hell cares about the guy on the right anyway??? It was an observation that sitting down and barely moving a muscle while looking semi-conscious was very unprofessional and simply does not LOOK right. And please explain how he is playing his ass off. He's looks like a statue. I'll thank you not to infringe on my right to freedom of speech, expression & personal opinion.

  • drtalkster, aparantly you never have "jammed" before. These jam sessions aren't meant to be professional. It is quite possible that these players have never played together before. The purpose of these sessions are to show off your licks and maybe to teach some amatuer players. I'll jokingly say I'll bet you're a lot of fun to be around. These are true professionals having fun, nothing more. Where are you from that you have to be pro all the time?

  • I looked at your profile. I would like to apologize for anything disrespectful I've said to you. I was brought up to respect my elders. Regarding my post; It's an opinion based on MY experiences in the music industry.

  • I'M IN LOVE! But what's with the dork on the right sitting down??? Is he actually playing that Tele???

  • Heeeeeeeeeeeeell YEAH!!! DARN GOOD!!!

  • The Sarah Jory Band is the best you can get.

This is divine, but listen to her version of Last Horizon - it'll take your breath away!

  • Tasty so tasty and smooth

  • I met this Lady back in the eighties at our club in Pershore she was a fine steelie then.

  • who is playing lead guitar, DOES ANY BODY KNOW? TOTUNKA

  • I don't think it's Albert Lee, but he sure as similar hair as Albert. I know albert was with the Everly Bros. for a while, but who knows? At any rate, the band sounds pretty good to me, and I think she is worthy of such a band. Marc Trainor. (Fellow pedal steel player).

  • Anybody got a way I could get in touch with her?

Her website is down. I'd leave Canada to go to the UK just play with her. I've been playing drums since I was 3 and would give anything to back her up...even more so than Paul Franklin.

  • As a huge fan of steel playing and a very ametuer player I admirer any one who can make a steel sound the way Sarah can. And only dream of being 1/10th as good some day. Thanks to the one responsible for posting the video's. Very very nice Sarah!

  • We must have more songs from Sarah Jory. An awesome steel guitar player,& singer as well. Thanks for these posts, & hopefully there will be more.

  • sounds great....

    have she made a cd??

  • My Dear Sarah

I am a Californian USA for 68 good old country years. I love your style of steel. I am a dieing breed who need more of you. PLEASE post more on "You Tube"

  • I keep coming back to her videos. She is great. I saw somewhere she was rated #5 steel player. I don't know who would be better.

  • Sarah is absolutely great!!!

  • Dang man, sounds good!

  • Nice tits and good music. What more could you ask for?

  • What are the names of theses songs so I can buy her CD and have them with me! She is so great with that Ebow i never seen it used till now im defently getting one and when ppl ask im gonna say a girl showed me how t use it and her name is Sara Jory

  • I think the first song (fast one) is called "City Lights"

  • Thanks a lot! your response is greatly appreciated.

  • Second song is Mansion on the Hill (original from Hank Williams) I love to hear Sarah Jory's songs, and witnessed several performances in Holland e.g. Floralia. Sarah is the best, emotional ... plays with her soul .. Wow awesome. Mansion on the Hill is definitely my favourite song. Hope see will perform in Holland soon. Thanks for sharing Sarah Jory on Youtube!!

  • Love everything about your style and might i add your runs are just awesome. Your #1 fan all the way. Curious to know how long you've been palying

  • WOW!

  • What steel guitar--didn't get past her-----

  • 6029mule - from around 7-10 to 8-00 on the video Sarah is using an electronic "Ebow" in her right hand. She is still using the normal bar in her left hand. You'll notice that she isn't picking the notes in this segment and that's because the Ebow creates a perpetual sustain for as long as it is in use.

  • Great steel lady. Don't know anything about her. WHAT does she do on "Mansion"? What does she use on both hands?

    Dave

  • A young pretty babe playing in the classic steel style guitar, my buddy Herby Wallace would be proud.

  • Sarah You are great, Would love to hear more..

  • I love it when the girls can hang in with the guys. Like Cindy Cashdollar too.

  • Sarah, absolutely fabulous

  • Thats some of the steel playing I have ever heard!

  • A cowgirl who is not really in the sand... But great!

  • Cool - Ebow on slide

  • Very cool totally has a good vibe to it all

  • great best dave rich

  • I just wanted to say, I like your style of playing and this makes me want to get back into playing the steel guitar. I have been away from playing for about 15 years, Boy do i miss it now. Thanks for the inspiration to make me want to get back to playing.

  • Sorry .... George de Fretes was the greatest!!!He is burried besides Sol Hoopii his idol but he became 10 times better.

  • I just looked at her web page. I'm very sorry of your loss. When it's time for humor...................

I only hope we can get you in some decent cowboy boots! all the best Sarah. The Sun rises everyday.

  • Sarah is a wonderful young lady, and I had the chance to play her steel on stage with her band at a fan club show. Watch at about 7:10, Sarah is playing the steel using an eBow which is a plastic box with a battery inside that sets up a magnetic vibration through a notch under the box...when the string of an instrument is in the notch, it sets the string "humming" as if being bowed like a violin. If you EVER get the chance to see Sarah play live then go for it, you won't regret it!

  • Bring her to Texas We would to see her play. to cool

  • beautiful music but when will we see the great George de Fretes playing steelguitar?

  • Nice job by Sarah. Be real nice if some folks would keep there nasty thoughts out of our PSG world though. We need to have something that remains free of trash. Thank you! MSP Pres.- Billy Carr

  • Id hit her ass! sexy ass!
