  • I was 11, and I started watching GH because of a girl I liked. And I loved Duke and Anna and that jazzy love theme. And I didn't care that the "new" Duke didn't look or sound anything like Ian Buchanan. It was amazing when Duke and Anna reunited, and then the WORST plot twist ever that new Duke was immediately killed off.

  • My favorite storyline of all time was the Grant Putman DVX stuff. When will you be able to post that storyline, I really enhjoyed the susan moore storyline even though i never lived susan. But the Quatermains were/are classic. Davis Lewis as Pappy Q that dude was awesome. Did he ever win any emmys. I know Stuart did when he had the broken hand/drug story line. But Edward was a force to be reckon with!!!!!

  • pxlbarrel you are the greatest i have been watch gh since the 70's and to go back and view some of my favorite storylines of all time has blown me away. Please give us more Quatermain stuff. !

  • It was the worst recast considering how Ian Buchanan had put his mark on the character. IMO, it was very disrespectful to the character's memory to have done that storyline. By the way, Julian Jerome was killed by Duke at the same time Julian killed Duke (they were struggling for the gun).

  • The first time he "died", it was in an explosion in 1989. In 1990, Anna discovered Duke was still alive. He had had plastic surgery so he didn't look like Ian Buchanan anymore and apparently plastic surgery also changes one's voice because he didn't have a Scottish brogue anymore either. It was stupid. Anna didn't believe it either but eventually did. She, Duke and Robin were going to run away to Scotland during Robert's wedding to Katherine Delafield but Julian Jerome shot and killed him.

  • How did Duke really die? and when?

  • Duke died in Anna arms as a recast. Not sure what year. If I take I guess 1990!! I am pretty sure it was that year.

  • As I mentioned earlier, Duke died in the spring of 1990.
