  • You've neglected to mention that this was a friggin' step-by-step tutorial in 3DWorld magazine... including the background image they supplied for you.

+ the leaves look they're floating in a fishtank that someone is gently shaking. You could've worked a little longer on getting the motion right.

    Note your sources... booooooooo.

  • wat kind of wind is that? xD but cool

  • an ambient occlusion layer and plus little color correction would have made it perfect

  • Next time make sure to correct the color of the leaves so they match that of the surroundings, other than that good work.

  • that wind cant make up its mind

  • Nice but i think you need to tone down the leaves colour and add a bit more random motion into them, other than that good job

  • Leaves are to heavy maaan

  • hello sir is there difference between use TP with 3ds max and cinema 4d? can use similar trick with 3ds max? I want to make leaf animation since 2weeks but I seen it is only happens with TP! with realistic effect could you help me?please give any idea or tute

  • I thought the same about the movement but if you add a car or something driving by it would look or seem more natural. excellent work!!

  • pretty cool but leaves must move not together to one position, but all seperated ^^

  • well its looks realistic in graphic wise, but when you moving the leaves. try not to make them all move at the same time, atleast not same direction

  • umm add shadow. and some vray

  • I dont know if there is a MIN FORCE on the wind so it does not move the leaves when the wind is slow, but is ok I guess

  • Nice job,

  • its not very natural-looking

  • does not look real dude

  • Umm lets see u do better

  • Very nice work, try improving the leaves detail, add more coor varitaion, or try taking pictures of real leaves and import them in.

    But still great work!

  • It looks absolutely fantastic...

one little point though, the wind looks a bit too sudden.... see what would happen if you changed it more gradually....

Other than that, you should be happy with it, it looks pretty damn real!

  • is it sum kind of physics?

  • Hey odsca,

Nar just a 3d render using thinking particles in cinema 4d :)

  • ahh! ok gotcha thx :D

  • what is a thinking particle?

  • nice, some sound would have made it more convincing, and your lighting needs a bit of work.

  • friggin sweet dude, im just starting into TP, although the Xpresso plug is kind of intimidating, good stuff

  • good stuff bro

  • hell yeah very nice! although is the background just a picture, or is that modeled?

  • Hey there! Nar the background is just a image that i wrapped around a plane that i shaped for the clip. Which gives it that distance effect. Youll also notice the leaves react with the wall on the right as well :D

  • @jamiehumbug99 dude, plz made another one of these but if you can, make 2 guys walking and talking like your starting a mission for gta! this reminds me of gta 5! lol
