I don't mean to bash AYDY but Hatebreeder and something wild are so much more suited for a violin cover with some parts literally taken right from classical music. AYDY was released after their first US tour to please US crowds that like the whole drop tuning more metalcore sound and they have unfortunately retained that style since. Long story short AYDY isn't suitable for violin covers. Nice cover! you should play the guitar too, your left hand is really quick!

Well, I don't see that song (or almost any song on albums after FTR) to be good material for a violin cover - the style is much different and doesn't sound good on an accoustic. Plus, I don't like the song that much. I tried the Living Dead Beat, but the solo for that is a tad too hard.

Well regardless of what you choose to play, you have my respect. I played violin for five years before switching to bass, guitar and drums; but I didn't think this kind of playing was possible (I might have stuck with it...). Keep doin what you're doin.

Well, 5 years into studying violin, I probably couldn't think about this either lol. And I didn't start listening to metal until much later anyway. I have to thank two bands - Apocalyptica and CoB - for giving me the idea and the drive to make a cover.

I might agree that it sounds bad because this is an accoustic instrument I'm using (and not a very good one at that), and this was played on an electric guitar. So sorry for not sounding like Laiho on is ESP.

As for the "completely wrong" part, I beg to differ, it's pretty close IMO.
